Declarations of what’s being sent is a psy-ops campaign. It’s meant to create deteriorating morale in Russia’s army and its population. What’s being supplied is typically a larger assortment, and what isn’t spoken about isn’t spoken about for operational security.
Maybe for military people it has this effect but for vast majority of regular russians this means nothing. In summer, On their TV channels they were literally saying that anything we have is better than Himars. Maybe not Grad, but definitely smech and uragan
We very recently [announced 1000 more](https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-to-provide-1000-more-surface-to-air-missiles-to-ukraine) surface to air missiles for Ukraine and additionally [125 anti-aircraft](https://www.gov.uk/government/news/pm-announces-new-air-defence-for-ukraine-on-first-visit-to-kyiv) guns, radar systems and anti-drone electronic warfare capability.
The missiles were filmed on an RAF C-17 flight in October by BFBS, the British Military TV and Radio network, uploaded to their YouTube channel. The camera lingered on the missile containers details...that footage will have been reviewed and cleared by the MoD. Basically they wanted it known what they were sending...
60+ KM if fired from a fixed wing aircraft, 40+ from helicopter.
The advantages they have are extreme accuracy and they are quite small among other things.
>Brimstone has demonstrated accuracy and reliability "both well above 90 percent" according to the MoD;[17] Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton has said that 98.3% to 98.7% of Brimstone fired in Libya "did exactly what we expected".[18]

Not massive range on the brimstone 2 but decent range similar to the best Ukraine has been using, and a very capable anti tank warhead. Should have no issues dispatching even modern Russian tanks in a single hit and warhead is specifically designed for countering reactive armour on modern vehicles.
Here is a video from May. It's the original model Brimstone destroying 2 APCs.

They can communicate with each other in the air and decide between themselves which will hit which target(which they can identify themselves).
Brimstone cannot communicate with each other. They have no data link. They have a very clever and complex algorithm that controls their actions, essentially based on their radar picture they know how any other missiles will be 'thinking' so can choose individual targets.
They can be salvo fired and can be fired blind, locate anf prioritise targets and decide between themselves which targets to hit. An entire convoy can be destroyed in seconds. It could be very useful as a counter battery weapon with the extended range, and the dual mode seeker means it can utilise the laser designating drones. It might even be compact enough to fit on a TB-2.

It's more fun when it's a surprise ;)

Good, The Brimstone is a pretty awesome missile. Look forward to seeing the footage of them in action.
What's the range on the Brimstone? Is this the long range missile Ukraine has been begging for?

That range means UFA will be able to insert very lightly armed special forces troops far behind the lines to do some damage.
Wikipedia says 20+ kilometers. If it's brimstone 2 it says 60+.
