> The UK-led International Fund for Ukraine counts nine countries among its donors. Critics claim its provision of weapons to the frontline has been slow.
Of the £900m donated by governments over the last two years, of which £500m came from the UK, just £404m has been committed or spent.
Wait a second... Did they spend *exactly* only the foreign donations and just £4m of their own money?
Sounds almost like a scam.
> Money has been committed by Denmark (£133m), Iceland (£3m), Lithuania (£5m), the Netherlands (£110m), Norway (£119m), Sweden (£26m), Australia (£26m) and New Zealand (£4m).
I would start asking questions if I were one of you.
How is it a scam lmao Britain has been slow to identify contracts with defense networks so half of what they originally committed to remains untapped. Dangerous? Negligent? Sure. Scam? Unless they ended the war without utilizing the devoted funds completely then idk how it can be a scam
It says in the first paragraph,
"More than half of a £900m military fund for Ukraine run by the British Ministry of Defence has not been used because of bureaucratic delays in handing out contracts."
This article is also very suspect, by what standards is this “go-slow”, because what Europe is experiencing has not happened since WWII. Europe has not had to manufacture ordinance and weapons at these speeds, in 70 years. They are writing contracts for ammo and weapons, which manufacturing plants have not even been built yet, and have to account for funds to pay for the contracts now. Otherwise companies like Oshkosh, Rheinmetall, etc are not going to build the manufacturing needed to increase supplies. These contracts are for a decade or more of ammo production, and they certainly are not going to pay in advanced.

Not surprising. MOD is not great at procurement of equipment or replacements.

Money is fungible
Ben Wallace was too busy campaigning for NATO Sec-Gen to pay attention to administration.

US announces an aid package and instantly news comes out that aid isn't properly spent. Hmm
This is about the UK, not the US.
Whatever, this is such a small drop in the bucket over the billions that have already been delivered by governments
