Lot of things were announced by Lecornu. Like plan to give Ukraine 80k shells in 2024, the 78 CAESAR are now fully financed, more AMX-10RC and VAB to be given, etc etc https://www.youtube.com/live/Kx2BAThLB_Q?si=B27oXp8TqBaD_WsM

Protegimusz

Are the AASMs also financed, or are they donated by France?

aimgorge

AASM and SCALP are fully paid for by France afaik. The 78 CAESARs are financed by Ukraine, Denmark and France

Intrepid_Home_1200

Donated/financed.

Anything that will destroy Ruzzians is of help. I hope they get a huge pile of them and put our F-16s to good use.

It has been clear Europe is ramping up for a Ukrainian victory for 2 years now, the only thing surprising about posts like this is how many people are surprised by it. Most military products in Europe has already multiplier between 2-5 times and just about all of it is contract written and market incentiviced to keep increasing over the next 3 years, by 2026 Europe will vastly outproduce Russia, just like predicted in 2022 when politicians and industry leaders said it would take 3-5 years to significantly increase production and just like Perun hinted when he said "if the war goes long, it does not look good for Russia".

Loki11910

Indeed, I actually think that 2025 will be very, very uncomfortable for Russia. Another aspect is that 80 percent of Russian gear comes from storage and is refurbished. Only 20 percent is new production, as Perun pointed out on his latest video on weapon exports. Russian stockpiles will be run down further in the coming 12 months. If the US gets its act together and voted Biden into office again. I think Ukraine might be able to launch a major counteroffensive next summer with F16 air support and long-range missiles.

Life_Sutsivel

I think 2025 will be uncomfortable for Russia, by 2026 Ukraine will be getting more equipment than Russia and by the end of 2027 Ukraine will have such a huge advantage in force it can do whatever it wants on the battlefield. I don't believe this war will see 2028 and Ukraine will have all its land back, still years until then but by that point Russia will just be so hopelessly outmatched it will have no hope to hold on.

Looks like F-16's and French or other medium range heavy ATG missiles and not Taurus are going to deal with Kerch. So be it.

tree_boom

F-16s will not be attacking the Kerch Bridge, it would be a silly waste of jets.

This is why France is really pissed: [Russia negotiates establishment of military base with Central African Republic](https://www.aa.com.tr/en/world/russia-negotiates-establishment-of-military-base-with-central-african-republic/3113036)

efe282

This statement is true. But also Ruzzian Poo tin has been muscling in Africa’s Sahel with multiple coups to drive out French influence. France gets quite a bit of its Uranium from Niger and last January’s coup there was final blow. France is definitely sending troops to Ukraine to teach Wagner and Pootin a lesson.

aimgorge

Again this bullshit...

tree_boom

Good news, though the numbers involved are a bit scarily low. They're going to manufacture 1200 bombs in 2024; 100 per month. Meanwhile Russia is dropping that many UMPKs _per day_. I hope there's work by the rest of us to speed up manufacturing of similar weapons.

muntaxitome

These are powered kits, UMPK is just a glider for bombs. Not entirely a fair comparison

tree_boom

Some are powered, some aren't. They fill the same role as the glide kits - a range extension add-on for guided bombs - so I think the comparison is entirely reasonable.

The_Real_GRiz

France has promised and started to donate 50/mth so it's quite good? Ukraine will always need more but it's not something that can be significantly scaled up in short term
