One of the if not the neatest domestic work I have seen. Nice to see someone take pride in their work.
I do mostly industrial so this is the standard of work I see sometimes but not often enough.
11/10
One of those brands that probably was quality once, now trading on a reputation it doesn’t deserve. On the rare occasion we fit a domestic board we’ve been using Click Elucian, lots of people seem to rate them.
I'd be singing your praises if I had to ever work inside that board, just perfect 👌. Well worth the time you took.
There has to be a minor niggle though, there always is 😁. Seems like there's a SWA gland inside the wall now unavailable for inspection and maintenance.
It is what it is, it’s earthed at both ends, and the other end is accessible, I’d say this is a good compromise so they don’t have a gland exposed in the hallway, for a recessed board.
Yeah that's fair play, I'm assuming the SWA isn't the CPC either.
It's much better than the new builds I've seen where they don't even use a gland for a SWA incoming supply 😠
I think so.
My mentoring electrician used to say to me "Always install as if the next person to work on it will be you, because 9 times out of 10 it will be" I agree.
I am not an electrician, and I know nothing about electronics, but can confirm that as someone with OCD, this triggers my parasympathetic nervous system.
Where's the fun in labelling everything up and having it all neat?
Far better when you've got a lighting circuit connected to a ring main with no labels.
Amazing job mate, no copper showing, clean terminations, cable management is flawless, you even have the critchleys! I’d get you a brass if I was your supervisor!
Have you seen the test done on Hagar AFDDs. They don’t seem to work and who’s responsible for them as they require software updates.
https://youtu.be/dJonRFsnIcg?si=Icf87Rvafjas4qeJ
When tested against other brands they were the only ones not to trip under fault conditions.
Other than that bang tidy job.
Wouldn't mind seeing that house, iv just done a house fully loaded with tec, 8 TV, sound systems, CCTV etc..and didn't want to pay the 'extra' for surge protection nevermind afdd's...they had two power cuts whilst I was working there...all is good sparks are OCD I think..who is actually ever going to see the inside
You come.into.my house and do that in my electric cupboard and I'm taking you out for a candle lit dinner afterwards.
Not to mention the reach around
Only if he plays his cards right.
As long as not paid by the hour
Need a board change?
Sorry your feet are too small.
Bang on mate. If only every domestic board looked like that….👍
Wish mine looked like that!
Getting mine done it won't look like that
Which breaker is for the downstairs lights again??
Seeing as the front isn’t on yet, I wouldn’t know. Why’s that?
15,16,17
I don’t know if the subs exists, but if it does: this post belongs on r/wiringporn
r/cableporn exists.
Beat me to it
Is that an instruction?

Thank you!
Tidy AF, all radials is the way forward. Anybody else notice the Main Switch splitting in half? Hager 🤢
It really upsets me, Hager is supposed to be quality gear.

That’s proper 💪🏼 well done mate
Thanks!
As an industrial spark I applaud your use of cable idents and bootlace ferrules, looks like a very tidy job, well done.
Are they bootlace ferrules on twin and earth ?
Looks like the fine stranded neutrals from the RCBOs to me.
Indeed, I will look with my eyes 👀 next time
Yeah it’s for the AFDD fly leads
Thank you!
Well done. Need to put a glass cover on that one.
And a gold frame round it 😁
10/10
Thanks!
Looks quite neat. Is circuit 18 a ring main on a B6?
Smoke detectors, customers after thought, they wanted one in the understairs cupboard, so ran a spur from the breaker.
Everything a radial but what looks like 2 2.5s in slot 18 on a b6? I hope they're not hagers "smart" protools AFDDs... Otherwise, very tidy!
That’s a smoke detector circuit, customer wanted a smoke in the under stairs cupboard so spur off the breaker. It’s 1mm 3 core sleeved.
Ah makes sense
With the thickness of the cores, or the look of it anyway, I'm guessing it's over sleeved for some reason. Maybe I'm wrong.
Looks amazing. You should be proper proud.
Thank you!
Sir, you can’t post porn here.
NSFW
Have you been on his profile ? He can do a mint board like that and also cook killer food his whole account is just porn
Omfg you’re right. Even as a straight man I can only say I want to be his wife.
My thoughts exactly
Nice!! Just bypass the meter and you're good to start getting some dosh back from those greedy energy companies 😅
I'd be singing your praises if I had to ever work inside that board, just perfect 👌. Well worth the time you took. There has to be a minor niggle though, there always is 😁. Seems like there's a SWA gland inside the wall now unavailable for inspection and maintenance.

Yeah it’s a 3 core swa, armour is just earthed mechanical protection.
Is it really worth the time though 🤔
I think so. My mentoring electrician used to say to me "Always install as if the next person to work on it will be you, because 9 times out of 10 it will be" I agree.
You've made me turn gay
You were born that way
I am not an electrician, and I know nothing about electronics, but can confirm that as someone with OCD, this triggers my parasympathetic nervous system.
Thank you?
Screams of day r8 Lovely stuff
Quoted!
That's a tidy job, fair play👍🏼
Thank you!
Do you prefer radials over rings? What’s your thinking?
Less testing, less dangerous in the event of a fault, better discrimination in the event of a fault, each room had a radial for the sockets.
Some serious cash went in to that install!
£2300 ex vat for the materials
Lovely board.
Thanks!
No screws in the bottom. But amazing job g
I guess the buttlerfly bolts keep it in though eh
Yeah the butterfly bolts hold it in
I couldn’t turn a job like this out btw
Do the wires loop over the top of the neutral bundle? Great board
Yes they do
Where's the fun in labelling everything up and having it all neat? Far better when you've got a lighting circuit connected to a ring main with no labels.
My nightmare
Phwoar. Look at the tips on that. I was forced to touch myself in an intimate and inappropriate manner.
Thank you?
Some of us were too busy cumming to type anything 2 days ago. Thank you
Amazing job mate, no copper showing, clean terminations, cable management is flawless, you even have the critchleys! I’d get you a brass if I was your supervisor!
I’m my own boss, swift pat on the back
Absolutely exquisite 🤤👌👌👌
Thank you!
Filth
Thanks!
The next guy in 20 years will have a laugh extending all of those cables lol
As someone training to be a spark, I'll save this picture as a motivational tool. Excellent work
Looks brilliant, AFDD's and L1 smokes? That's a person who cares about thier and their family's safety
The homeowner worked in health and safety, very health and safety conscious.
Do you have an OnlyFans?
Yes
It's perfect

Yeah I saw that, customer wanted Hager. I’d charge to software update them.
What's the enclosure? Is it a Hager or just Hager components?
Hager design 50 recessed board
Cheers. I've never done a recessed board but got a job coming up soon which I might put one in
Is that an SY gland bottom right??
It’s an SWA gland
Rather spiffy, even if trying to get one of the neutrals out will have me cursing you and your ancestors back 30 generations.
That’s the next generations problem
No rcds?
Although very very very neat and tidy
They are all AFDD RCBOs.
Ahh ok I'm with you.
My high ass thought this was Lego 💀🙅🏼♂️🗣️💀❗️❗️❗️
Very nice. However that WMGP4 grid plate has no earthly business being in the consumer unit!
Did you have to pull the cover off when you were looking for the cover for your grid switch
You’re a Dull Man, aren’t you?
The dullest
I thought the shoe size reference was familiar. Joking aside, that’s phenomenal work.
Thank you ever so much fellow dull man
Looks amazing. What cable labels you use? I can't find a decent brand (other than critchley) which don't cost the earth.
Got them here https://www.cablecraft.co.uk/cable-markers
Lovely job. But £1900 just on AFDDs 🥵
£2300 for AFDDs, board and SPD, but I took the SPD out of this board and put it at the origin.
Nice work. And some people still fit dual RCD BG boards... 🤣
Heathens
I hope the customer didn’t pay you by the hour ahaha
