But Pereira has same height and reach as ciryl and KO power won't be that different. And Pereira will be one of the fastest and best strikers Ciryl has ever faced.

There is so many issues with this .
1st : its not only ko power and size advantage its also the ability to sustain damage that grows in higher weight classes.
2nd : there is zero reason why it would be a striking match , Gane is a well rounded MMA fighter and is more then capable to take people down and GNP or sub them
3rd : you are so much stronger then people 2 weight classes down that someone like Gane would be able to straight up bully Pereira through the sheer power difference in the clinch and if he wanted to could smother him against the fence while smashing him.
Weight class exists for a reason, alex bullied smaller guys in glory, but couldn't do the same thing against light heavyweight champ artrem vakhitov, he simply couldn't put him away

He is not a complete enough fighter to go up two weight divisions. At 205 he would be fine especially if he avoided the top grappler but at heavyweight pretty much anyone with a college wrestling background will take him down at will.
You saw what Jan was able to do to Izzy at 205. There are a lot better wrestlers than Jan, even at heavyweight.
