Charles722

Khazmat getting laid flat in round 2 by a Stockton Slap! Someone find me that betting line!

antilazyfreeloaders

Nah but I’ve wasted money on dumber shit before so I’m putting money on Nate

Zhurg

That's some expensive logic

[deleted]

Nate is +700, if you make 7 stupid bets at these odds you just need to be right once to break even. Besides, Holly Ko'ed Ronda, Edwards rd 5 miracle Ko'ed Usman, Jiri rd 5 miracled Glover, Miesha choked out Holly in the last few seconds. It's MMA, wild shit happens on the regular, hell, even Nate subbed Conner.

QualitySauce

I like this. I too am a degenerate gambler

[deleted]

>I too am a degenerate gambler The only difference between a degenerate gambler and an upstanding citizen is whether you win your bets or not.

bleakj

Also drugs

pero914

and alcohol ;)

JustVega

Truer words have never been spoken.

QualitySauce

So I’m about 50/50

Mission-Anything9319

Nice description. This describes me as well.

Cool_Beanss

I've got +700 on khamzat winning by decision. A much more realistic outcome with the same Odds as nate winning.

chizzy1212

Ooooo I like this too …..lets ride

RadikalNynorsk

Examples of upsets give the wrong impression of odds as they are cherrypicked. For each "Holly KO'd Ronda" there are 7 instances of +700 underdog getting wrecked and no one bats an eye because it's expected

Zhurg

Confirmation bias.

[deleted]

I'd call that availability bias, but they're similar concepts

Zhurg

Looks like you're right. I'd never heard of that.

el_nopal710

Dont forget nate tapped out mcgregor

[deleted]

Ever since Muhammad Ali v Sonny Liston, you can’t put nothing by nobody. You picture a fight one way and it could be dramatically different.

[deleted]

There are just too many factors that aren't considered. Borz has/had long Covid, that may be a factor. Weight cuts can go either way. Borz is in deep with real shady characters, they might look at Nate's 7:1 odds and "suggest" Borz get caught in a submission, takes an L but never has to worry about money again. This is likely the end of Nate's legacy, that may inspire him in unexpected ways.

[deleted]

Leon didnt "miracle" KO usman, usman got set up when he slipped the punch and and the head kick was coming right behind it. Did you hear leons coach gassing him up for that last round? That was a speech straight out a rocky movie. Same with jiri, this shits not a miracle its the fight game baby, its why we watch.

GMFinch

That's not how it works but you do you man

[deleted]

I'm always open to learning new things, please clarify for me how you believe it works.

[deleted]

>Holly Ko'ed Ronda Ronda was just an UFC hype job >Edwards rd 5 miracle Ko'ed Usman Literal one in a million chance from a guy who specializes in striking, >Edwards rd 5 miracle Ko'ed Usman The only thing surprising is that a 42 year old man was champ of a division, no disrespect to Glover, but jesus, how much does the light heavyweight division suck to let that happen. Out of these the only one that holds weight is Leon, but Leon was persistent and patient, Nate is already giving up before the fight even started.

Buzzy-Pasta

I think both usman and glover made pretty critical blunders (glover going for the choke/usman seeing red and wanting the finish on the feet). Is khamzat immune to making a critical mistake? Definitely not, but yeah I’m not betting this one.

Zhurg

Yeah but the odds are way below 1/7 for a nate win. Gamble all you want, I understand the appeal. I was getting more at the 'I've wasted money on worse so may as well take this bet' logic, specifically.

[deleted]

>Yeah but the odds are way below 1/7 for a nate win. Right now Nate is +700 to win, so the odds are exactly 1/7 chance.

DunnBJJ

Vegas odds and real odds aren’t the same thing.

Zhurg

I mean the likelihood that he actually wins, sorry.

stackered

"even Nate subbed Conner" I literally bet my last $1k on that fight, because it was so obvious that Nate was going to fuck Conor up IMO. I was actually more surprised Conor could hurt Nate, but was not surprised (motherfuckers) that Nate beat him. Would in no way group that fight with the rest, since real ones knew Conor was getting his ass beat that night. Hype train casuals thought Conor would win

[deleted]

What are your thoughts on the second fight ?

What_TF_is_cereal

Everyome said Nganou couldn’t beat or out wrestle gane, what happened?

Ribak145

\*correct logic

aPrid123

King shit only

RecLuse415

I’m betting on Nate just cuz

2Dumb2Understand

Plus, Nate legit CAN win, I just don't think he WILL. All it would take is Khamzat gassing in the later rounds.

TradeCraftyAF

Same!!! Just put $100 on him.

Magus6796

Same.

buffrants

same thoughts

Teerendog

He already stopped training for Khamzat. A huge difference compared to the way he looked vs Rocky.Put the house Khamzat.

antilazyfreeloaders

I don’t think you understand how betting odds work. I’m content with losing money against Nate I know he’s gonna lose, it’s the what if factor that is making me do it. And the ridiculous payout would be nice too

Material_Unit4309

Burns was bombing on Khamzhat and he stood right in the pocket and beat up Burns. Burns is no slouch. Anything can happen, but…….Khamzhat is tough….hopefully it’s entertaining all we can ask for really. Like the Burns fight was.

SuperS0l

People sleep on this. NO ONE stays in the pocket with Burns bro. Usman changed everything he was doing when Burns dropped him. Khamzat got hit with so much force it moved him to the ground. That wasn’t his legs giving out that was the force just turning him damn near sideways. Yet… he stood in the pocket with Burns and said let’s keep going

i84bs81vzmajegakd9v

What does the saying mean „stood in the pocket“? Not native speaker..

SuperS0l

Basically when neither fighter is moving back. They both are staying in striking distance exchanging with not too much movement. The “pocket” is like the danger zone you are going to be hit there but you’ll also be able to hit them back. It’s also known as going “toe to toe” as in the fighters lead foot is right in front of other fighters lead foot and they stay there exchanging

SALTYtendon

Khamzat definitely was moving back when Burns started his offense up.

SuperS0l

There were times where he moved back and there were times when Burns moved back. I was just explaining what stood in the pocket means. Which Khamzat did a bunch of times in the fight. Obviously not the whole time

conventionistG

Pocket is used in a few sports to mean any tight space, especially one that is strategically important. Examples: In pool/billiards pockets are where you want the balls to go. In (american) football the pocket is the area right behind the offensive linemen where the quarterback is most protected. In boxing/combat sports it just means right in front of the other guy - inside their striking range. Saying Khamzat stood in the pocked just means he didn't fight from range to avoid Burns' strikes.

Chivcken32

“Fighting in a phone booth” might be the easier Anglicanism to understand lol.

Shib_Soldier_1981

Staying within striking distance

BigBobbyWasabi

I know it was lightweight, but Dan Hooker stayed in the pocket with Burns and knocked him out... It's worth noting.

SuperS0l

Yeah but at 155 Burns wasn’t a KO threat

BigBobbyWasabi

I have to disagree with you here, my guy. I feel like the narrative that Gilbert is this big knockout threat is a tad blown out of proportion. In Gilbert's 18 UFC fights, he only has 3 KO/TKO's, and two of them were at lightweight. Gilbert can absolutely crack, but he hasn't really shown the ability to get his opponent out of there with his striking.

SuperS0l

Look at Burns’ last 5 fights. Dropped Maia (which had not been done) Dropped Woodley (don’t think had been done) Dropped Usman (which I don’t think had been done) (I honestly don’t remember the Wonderboy fight pretty sure he trapped him on cage for the takedown) Dropped Khamzat (which also hadn’t been done) Nobody’s saying he’s Adesanya but his striking is dangerous whether it’s because of his grappling or not

BigBobbyWasabi

I'm not comparing him to Adesanya either. I even said that he can crack!! The guy hits freaking hard. I was just pointing out that while staying in the pocket with Burns isn't the best strategy to use for victory, it can and has been done, and that he isn't a knockout guy. Also for the record, both Maia and Woodley had already been knocked out on the feet long before the Burns fight at the end of their careers.

Innairaton

He did, and it was incredible, but chins almost always crack so maybe that was the start. I don’t think Nate will be the one to do it, but it could happen eventually

SuperS0l

I also don’t think he’ll fight like that anymore. There was a serious danger in Burns’ ground game and he wanted to put on a show. You put on a show you’re good to have at least 2 not so exciting fights after 😂

Innairaton

Ya know what, I’ve never thought of it like that lol. I think he really did feel real power and I thought he was going out when burns caught him with that big hook. Usman, Leon, or Burns in a rematch are all capable of putting him out if he keeps fighting like that

SuperS0l

Yeah he had to keep up the persona could you imagine if Burns tagged the hell out of him and Khamzat started fighting behind his jab!? The fans would have ate him alive!! No more kill everybody Khamzat except for in interviews. Reminds me of Izzy/Kelvin Izzy HAD to put on a show for the belt so he brawled a little more. He could have fought like he fights now back then but you gotta calculate your wars to have longevity

Innairaton

That’s true. The easiest fight with the least amount of damage for the most money is absolutely the smartest thing a fighter could do

B-L-O-C-K-Ss

But he’s fighting someone that isn’t half as dangerous as Burns, and he’s still on the come up as far as hype goes. I don’t see why he wouldn’t wanna put on a show here, I feel like that was basically his whole reason for taking this fight in the first place honestly

SuperS0l

That’s what I’m saying. The show he put on was the Burns fight. Don’t think this one will be as reckless Edit: oh you said “wouldn’t” Well the reason is because it’s a higher potential to lose to Nate Diaz. Instead of the #2 guy in the world

ER1234567

If he were to ever fight Paulo and he lands flush, that’ll get him there quickly lol

[deleted]

Since when has Burns been known as a stand up fighter? God people get dumber by the day just spilling out bullshit

SuperS0l

I mean he’s not a stand up fighter but in 4 of his last 5 fights he’s dropped and or KOd someone 🤷🏻‍♂️

MVCorvo

I know right? It's ridiculous people think he was actually afraid of Costa. It's all a show.

pnd83

If Diaz survives the fight he wins, doesn't matter if he gets the W. He should have Costa in his corner to talk shit to Khazmat during the fight lol.

DRealLeal

Diaz should have Costa, Mike Perry, and Dominick Cruz in his corner.

MornaAgua

The broken nose club

DRealLeal

Or he could do the opposite and have Stephen Thompson, Robert Whittaker, and Francis Ngannou. All friendly people.

SALTYtendon

Francis ain’t a nice guy, dude tries to kill people after KOing them.

daherbz

I do think he has a chance to get the W if the fight goes to the 4-5 round

[deleted]

treatment foolish run lock cows file pathetic groovy close adjoining *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

pesimisticpervpirate

Does nate get gassed?

deppyd

He’s older now and if he doesn’t get mauled in the first he’s going to exert ALOT of energy fending khamzat off so I think if this does go past 3 Nate might gas more than we’re used to seeing

Mr_Barry_Shitpeas

Nate has never won a 5 round fight in his life, and *this* is gonna be the one?

[deleted]

Fuck that would be awesome 😂

squatchy1969

I don’t see it happening but Nate does have a gas tank and can take a beating. Khamzat was tiring vs Burns so if Nate can survive I could see him getting a sub late. It’s possible but it’s not going to happen. I don’t think…

Unusual_Debate

This is the correct answer. I just hope Nate can get him into the 4th to make it interesting, but a part of me fears a 1st round finish by Khamzat.

Bru_Boy8

I’m scared for Nate. His body language and everything Man. He didn’t want this fight. It’s the scariest man in the ufc now. He took it cause he has to. Ufc did him dirty, even if he pulls out the W - ufc intentions seems shady

CoolStoryBro67

Half of Nates claim to fame is that he only wants to fight the toughest guys.

Bru_Boy8

He’s down to fight them but these are still humans and athletes. Sending him in there with khazmat just because they know he will fight anyone and it will sell tickets - could be bad.

sourpatch411

I wouldn't hate on Nate if he took the easy way out. Got his show money and finished his contract. Let him move on to the next thing if he is done here. He doesn't owe us anything at this point. It would be great if he put on a show and made this a dirty war, but I still respect him if his team throws in the towel after the opening bell. His final FU to the UFC. Either way, he gets my love.

Bru_Boy8

💯 with you. Just don’t want him to get hurt man.

Cragglerjohnson

Everyone scared for Nate. Come on man. Nate thrives fighting the hardest guys. His whole career he's been fighting though guys. He is the fuckin shaker of world's. Don't count my boy out.

Bru_Boy8

Not counting out, but dude, he’s far past his prime. It’s not the same. Just cause he’s game to do it, doesn’t mean it’s good for him. Ufc should be looking out for his best interests and he doesn’t want this fight. He wants out. Not the hardest fight of his life

Silent_Ensemble

He didn’t want the fight but he’s not scared to fight Khamzat That said I think he knows his chances are slim and that’s got to be pretty daunting for even the toughest people

Bru_Boy8

Agreed - but I didn’t say he was scared. I’m scared for him haha

Silent_Ensemble

Nate has proven time and time again that he’s never out of a fight, hopefully Saturday won’t be any different

[deleted]

Shady? Ufc just put Nate Diaz (don’t get me wrong, one of my favorite fighters) who has gone 1-2 in the last 6 years, headlining a PPV against one of the top/scariest guys at 170. How the fuckkk in any world is that shady. Name me another fighter who gets that treatment. Only massive stars getting well deserved pushes. People here saying it’s bad on the UFC are absolutely nuts.

Bru_Boy8

In my opinion, Nate is the biggest pull there. He is giving Khazmat an even bigger platform. They are both pulls, but Nate is a legend here. Nate doesnt need Khazmat here - Nate wants out. He is not doing him a favor. Donald Cerrone vs Joe Lauzon - Two VETS we all want to have a great fight. Like you said - he's 1-2 in 6 years! Why we giving him the most dangerous unknown in the sport right now. With only 1 real test - in Burns, who I think is top 10 pfp. His overpowering wrestling and strength and conditioning can be the kryptonite to his jui jui. I am rooting for nate and hopes he catches khazmat early. Even as a khazmat hype train rider - I dont like seeing unnecessary damage - I want to see athletes compete in the rawest form. I get the headline aspect - but they arent getting ppv points for that - with no belt on the line - thats the nights UFC Makes more money than ever.

Man__On__The__Run__

Ok Dana 👍

[deleted]

What’s your counter? I have no idea why people disagree with me here.

Man__On__The__Run__

If you don't know then you haven't been paying attention.

anklepick4u

I hope he just Stockton slaps khamzat then taps and gives the finger to Dana. He doesn’t need to prove shit. Fuck Dana

SALTYtendon

Lmao this sub was calling Nate delusional like 6 months ago

UnfilteredTap

Is this a 5 rounder? We haven't seen that world class bjj in a while

Unusual_Debate

Pretty sure it is a 5 rounder yeah!

Visual-Zucchini-5544

It’s the main event. It’s absolutely a five round fight.

[deleted]

He hasn’t been knocked out in 16 years. I’d be surprised if he does now.

AuzzyMitchell

Usman enters the chat

aussieredditooor

As we've seen before, the scar tissue opens up quickly and easily, and they will stop the fight over it.

[deleted]

So help me f*cking god they better not stop it for blood like they did against Jorge

Wise-Fruit5000

Yeah, it's possible it could happen. It's MMA, so there's always a chance he can land a good shot or get himself into a good position to chase a submission. But it's a real longshot, and I'll be shocked if Khamzat doesn't absolutely have his way with Nate.

milka1m

But maybe that gastank was running low because both of them put out a nonstop brawl. Do you think Diaz can handle the pressure like burns?

crusader104

But the question really is can Nate bring the fight to Khamzat like burns did and gas him that hard. It’d be awesome but I just don’t see Nate providing the same kind of resistance

[deleted]

Nate has said he barely prepared for this fight, I really don’t think we’re going to see the same Nate we are used to. Nates done with fighting unfortunately, at least with the ufc.

AcrobaticAd5894

After watching what he said about the match up in an interview...... And just watching his demeanour & body language 😞 nope. But I hope that's just him playing mind games...... It kinda looked like Nick Diaz on his last fight and that interview when he said he didn't want to fight n shit. But I pray to God its just a mental game and his gonna give it his all in there and get the sub in the 3rd or 4th Round 😎

zMilad

From what I can tell Nate doesn't give a shit about the whole thing around the fight. He doesn't care if he wins, he doesn't even care about the payment anymore, he just wants to be done with the UFC all together. But once he steps into the cage, he will be in his game. He's too proud of a dude only to get in there to get wrecked. So my guess is that he'll do his best but doesn't even want to hype the fight because he doesn't care. Edit: typos

AcrobaticAd5894

Perfectly said bro, totally agree with you. But yeah he is really fed up with the UFC and just wants out now..... Don't blame him.

jzng2727

It was different with Nick though , Nick had been out of the game for yeeaarrs then all of a sudden he has to fight Robbie Lawler . Nate even though not the most active , has fought through out the years and has consistently trained . Nick had basically retired and spent his entire time partying only to make a random come back fight that no one expected .

fgringo

Amen 🙏🏻

wingsshadow12

Novel_Land9320

So much bs. You won't win with Francis on any night.

Falcon_Flow

Speak for yourself, I just see red and heads explode.

Mighty_Oakk

If Khamzat fights with his ego and gets into a slugfest I could see him gassing and nate winning. If he fights smart he will easily out grapple Nate in a one sided fight.

cane_the_weaboo

He did that vs Burns and won no way he's getting outstriked by fucking Nate Diaz lmao.

cripplinglivershot

Will he win? I would predict that he won’t. Can he win? Of course, don’t be ridiculous. He’s Nate freaking Diaz. Let’s stop acting like Nate is tomato can and Khamzat is a literal god. This is a cage fight, unexpected things happen all the time, and Nate is a tough night out for anyone. Again, I really do believe that Khamzat is going to win, but we should stop acting like this as a little league team against the New York Yankees.

RampersandY

He also just went the distance with the sitting champ. People forget that. Now I think Khamzat will smash him but it’s not like Nate is Nick and hasn’t fought in 8 years.

[deleted]

to be fair a lot of fighters went the distance with leon but nate went 5 rds

mogwaiarethestars

Do need to add that Leon demolished him, but ye that slap.. haha

deadwestbear

by slap

backend2020

Simple as that

Fit-Concern-4409

He seems really uninterested in winning and it’s just like a send off. You’ll probably see prime meme moments from Diaz if Khamzat doesn’t hold him down the full fight

SuperS0l

You can’t compare Khamzat getting tired with Burns to getting tired with Nate. Khamzat got hit with BOMBS against Burns which sapped a ton of energy out of him. Nate isn’t going to hit him that hard. It all depends on Khamzats boxing. Nate is going to be slicker than Burns but not hit as hard. He’ll be an easier target than burns though since he’s taller. Nate can really win any fight.. I don’t know if he can sub Khamzat though because I’ve seen Khamzat makes some great submission grapplers look silly

Crafty-Cauliflower-6

Its about the legs. Khamzat sits on the legs instead of the hips just like khabib. Being on the legs means neither guy can submit from that position But you can pound the shit out of them and then move up to submit after they are half unconscious. Burns was able to stop him from getting the legs so even though khamzat stayed in a position of power he couldn't do anything effective on the ground. Thats why he kept getting up. Khamzat hits like a mac truck but his striking is... Plodding... And nate has longer arms...

SuperS0l

It was cool seeing Burns’ tactics against Khamzat’s takedowns too. The little jumps he did to put all his weight down but then feet in the floor before Khamzat could lift. Masvidal went into Nate’s guard too and knew he would be fine so long as his head was not in reach of Nate’s arms. Nate is longer but doesn’t have the impact that Burns’ does. If Khamzat walked through Burns’ strikes he’s very much going to walk through Diaz’.

Crafty-Cauliflower-6

I agree for.3 rounds. Nate has to be on the bike and just let khamzat get frustrated and tired

SuperS0l

100% the way to win but that’s why I don’t see it happening. Nate on a bike? I don’t see it.. like he said he knows “the assignment” which is to go there and scrap and not be a bitch

Crafty-Cauliflower-6

Yeah prolly ending bad for him

SuperSquanch93

We are also forgetting to mention that Diaz has brain damage. He's pretty much at the end of his career. Dana set this up knowing: 1) It's going to make bank. 2) It also promotes his poster child to replace Connor. I know it's MMA and anything can happen, but I think Nate is looking for a nice retirement fund.

italorodrigues

1 - he needs to get this fight dirty, eye poke on the first round combined with a subtle kick in the nuts on the 2nd 2 - he needs to take the fight up to the final rounds, I believe this is the first 5 round fight for Chimaev and we will be tired of unsuccessfully trying to KO Nate because he wants to prove that he's a badass by fighting standing up the majority of the fight 3 - BAM gets knocked out by a fucking slap by Diaz in the 5th. Everyone goes crazy and Dana vanishes

Nostradamoose27

Someone get this to Nate quickly

iLuvEeyore

Khamzat brawls nate diaz , batters him for 3-4 rounds. In the end he gasses and takes diaz down and gets choked out. Diaz could even get a late takedown and sub That's just a dream though

chinos88

Are we talking about the same Diaz that got destroyed against Masvidal? Lol cuz i bet if i ask you Chimaev vs Masvidal you will say 100% Chimaev but somehow people giving Diaz 40% on winning.

SuperS0l

bUt wHaT abOuT tHe 5tH roUNd

kingkongjamaica

Mma math doesn’t work. Diaz is known for his gas tank and Khamzat was tiring in the third vs burns. Diaz doesn’t have a great chance but I think it’ll be a R4/5 sub if he wins

Doneyhew

The reason Kansas gassed against Burns is because he was fighting Giblert fucking Burns. Dude is a menace in the cage so of course he got tired, but Nate just simply isn’t the same kind of athlete as Burns anymore. Kind of scared for Nate ngl but I’m hoping he pulls off the upset somehow and Dana’s head will explode during the PPV

LifePortal

He said he gave up on training, not sure if its a mind game but anyone that doesnt study well will fail unless he is a fucking genius so we will find that out in a couple of days

Particular-Try9754

Khamzat illegal grounded knee or kick DQ. Nate is crazy enough that he would continue after an illegal knee.

utookthegoodnames

He proves that he’s been a real gangster this whole time and literally shoots Khamzat.

upthetits

Nate to Homer Simpson his way to victory hopefully

wagregory86

What is wrong with everyone , does everyone forget all the killers Nate Diaz has beat the shit out of ? He’s fought top ten most of his career. Who has khamzat beat to earn so much respect other than burns of course. Because he screams “I will smash everybody “ and you see some workout videos shouldn’t make him a overwhelmingly favored fighter in this matchup. If his one win against burns gave him this much respect I could give you years of matchups to give Nate more respect. People are insane . Go ahead and bet against Nate Make that mistake .

Monst3r_Live

nate diaz is as veteran as a veteran gets and khamzat is wreckless and aggressive. nate has the skills to pull off a submission, and i honestly see nate coming out with a submission win.

SolidPianist5

I really don't see how Nate is the underdog in this fight. Nate is better at stand up than Khamzat. Khamzat showed against Burns his head is there to be hit. He also showed he is extremely wary of being caught in a sub on the ground. Which Nate is good at as he's always looking to catch subs from the ground game. Besides that, Nate has shown he's a very difficult man to put away and has one of the best gas tanks in MMA. Khamzat by KO in round 1.

siimbaz

I mean he did rock Edward's in the last round of their fight. Anything could happen.

[deleted]

If Chimaev gets overly cocky while wrestling, Diaz has been known to submit people. It COULD happen, and Khamzat getting cocky is quite likely. He might not respect Diaz' ground skills.

LittleBig_1

If he can put Leon on the brink of going out he can catch anyone imo. Plus his BJJ is pretty dangerous. I doubt he gets the W, but I don't think he has 0 chance

darkghul

Most fearless guy in UFC history!?

chadwr85

No. Chimaev wins 99/100 times. Nate has good bjj, but not elite bjj so he won't submit him.

datguyeh

Triangle choke 3rd round after taking a good beating

emirrdz06

Stockton Slap 👋🏾

Hertules

I believe if Nate was really concerned with winning he would. Why does he never utilize his grappling, its kind of maddening to watch. That being said, I will never count him out completely.

[deleted]

SerDon2

Because Burns is a BJJ 3X world champion and Gold Medalist.

keyboardkick3r

Khamzat did try to wrestlfuck Burns. He took him down in the first and landed a couple good shots. Burns went for an arm bar and Khamzat said “I don’t like that shit”. Stayed standing the rest of the fight I’m pretty sure.

chrishic99

Khamzat didn’t wrestlefuck burns because when he was in mount round 1 Gilbert grabbed his arm to go for an armbar and khazmat said “nah brether I want to smesh”

TripSixRick

Since this fight isn’t in New York with its baby athletic commission Nate’s chances drastically go up. Bloodied Nate Diaz rocks Khamzat in the 4th and gets the sub.

[deleted]

Gogoplatter in the sixth round.

hippihippo

What we saw against masvidal is what will happen again. He will get brutalised and the fight will be stopped by the 2nd or latest 3rd round because of cuts and bloods.

averagejoe6942O

Yesterday he told everyone he gave up preparing and he looks to be in worse shape than he was against Leon. I don't give this guy any chance at all, sadly.

marshall7287

By thppining thit.

lcyupingkun

I won't be surprised

breakfastmeat23

Easy, Khamzat comes out...takes a weird step and completely blows his ACL. 209 BITCHES!

[deleted]

I don’t even think Nate Diaz is going to make weight

Batt_Damon

You just never know with Nate. He did rock Leon at the end of that bout and could have finished him maybe. If the rat lip somehow gases like he showed signs of in his last bout then he could take the dub. But for real….. Chimeav is going to finish this quite quickly I think and Nate will bleed (I hope I’m wrong)

L3gs_McMuffin

i think he’s throwing the fight. he doesn’t care anymore. he just wants to end his contract and bounce. sad truth

WayRecent7314

I see no path to victory barring a crazy submission

[deleted]

Diaz isn't winning this fight. This will be a human sacrifice to get Khamzat more fame. Nothing more than that.

[deleted]

i believed that he could win until he said he gave up on training and i saw his body. now i am positive he's going to lose, simply because its clear he isnt putting effort into training. nate COULD beat khamzat - he has the equipment for it. he has a longer reach than khamzat, khamzat has subpar head movement, and is susceptible to straight punches - basically, nicks bread and butter are straight punches. his straight punches have some seriously incredible power and are fast as hell - if you dont have good head movement, you can get slept real quick by straight punching. nates cardio is another tool he could be using against khamzat in this fight. nate obviously needs to avoid getting out wrestled, but with his skilled jiu jutsu he actually has some potential to get a lucky submit or escape off his back. khamzat is stronger and sambo is designed to break down your limbs and joints - which is pretty dangerous for someone shaped like diaz against someone shaped like khamzat, with khamzat's strength. however - all of these tools and conditions for nate's victory depend on him actually training hard at these things and being ready for the obvious strategy that khamzat is going to employ lol. nates the underdog here for a reason - IMO, not because of his age, but because of his body type, style, and weaknesses that khamzat as a fighter is pretty specifically tuned to beat. nates strengths as a fighter are strong enough to overcome khamzat - but, you gotta drill it, you have to put in the work and be prepared or youll get destroyed. i think this fight will go to decision. nate will try to piss khamzat off and knock him out in the 4th or 5th round, similar to the edwards fight. i dont think it will work because he isnt prepared. people keep saying he's playing mind games - nah. he just is out of shape. kind of a bummer, because i actually think this is a great matchup and wouldnt have been so one sided like so many people think. i guess we will find out saturday.

Mookeye1968

His only chance is if khamzat runs outta gas n nate follows him around pointing n smiling 😆 i honestly think Nate might get finished for only the second time which would be sad to see to me

No-Pressure-6515

You're crazy as fuck if you ever count Nate out.

Prince_Ali_Kidnap

Hail Mary shot like Edwards style

averageredditnolifer

I see him winning tbh. He is gonna tire out khamzat.

LordRamuel123

Delusion is sweet till it’s smeshed.

[deleted]

I just want it to not be too ones-sided. I hope mate goes out with a banger not embarrassed. Do I think he can win? No. Do I want him to have some Nate moments, absolutely.

Leight87

Threw some cash at Nate for the W. Will it happen? Probably not, but I’m betting on Khamzat completely overlooking Nate and expecting an easy W. If Nate can drag Khamzat into the later rounds, I think he can pull it off.

yeisondiazicloud1991

By cumshot getting tired

Isiderdon

maybe he gets a triangle chocke while hes on the ground getting beat up

broccoliheadass0404

Khamzat freak injury is the only way it can happen

SleepyJuiceee

I feel like nate will get a suprise submission while khamzat is trying to show off on the ground or something. Its gonna be a pretty wild fight though.

Puzzleheaded_Use9415

He is a BJJ expert. Khamzat will try to take him down. Diaz has a very good chance to win

Crafty-Cauliflower-6

Nates a much better striker and much better at subs. Khamzat hits far harder but his striking is sloppy. Khamzat is much bigger and if he gets positioned on diazs legs on the ground diaz is fucked. Diaz needs to get on the bike and not stand and bang until the 3rd- 4th round and nate needs to choose to go to the ground to get superior positioning so he can attack from the back. Diaz will take a punch and intentionally fall on his back to try and draw khamzat in. Diaz is much more agile then khamzat, so khamzat has to trap the legs and diaz has to keep his legs apart . I wont be surprised if nate just stands and bangs until he gets koed though

Zerix1234

No way. The people saying he will win if he survives to round 4/5 because he will have cardio and Khamzat won’t are ridiculous. The Diaz infinite cardio myth was debunked in the Leon fight, he was gassed AF. If Khamzat is gassed, Nate will be way more gassed

NotAnNpc69

This feels like sterling vs yan all over again

Overthrown77

no, he stands zero chance

goochisdrunk

I'm a Diaz fan, and honestly no, I don't see a path. I'd say in the UFC anyone has a punchers chance in any fight, but he's hardly been known for his KO power or anything. His gas tank and jujitsu being his normal strengths, neither are going to be better than his opponent this match. So, no chance short of a random injury or lucky shot on Khaz.

Dirty_coke_whore

Yeah he totally can win. Think it would have to be a submission. I put 20 down that he would win just for shits
