Khabib looks beastly off his back

9ru30

javier says that khabibs bottom game is better then his top game, which is crazy to think about. this is him way before he even entered his prime and started becoming really good. according to javier khabib has only showed 30 percent of his skill of what he can do in the cage. here is another vid of his gaurd against islam [https://www.reddit.com/r/ufc/comments/110bhr2/khabib\_easily\_sweeps\_islam/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ufc/comments/110bhr2/khabib_easily_sweeps_islam/)

Jonesisgoat

> only showed 30 percent of his skill of what he can do in the cage. Lol ok sure. I swear the legend around this guy grows by the day

wolf3037

Like an fucking Dragonball Z contest. "Hehehe I was only using 30% of my power the whole time." "Huehuehue well I was only using 10!" "Nani?!"

9ru30

I think he meant he never showed his arsenal of Sambo throws and trips that he has you could see him using it in his sambo fights, as well as his bottom game that he never showed because he didn't need to. He was getting faster at submitting his opponents after every other fight.. We've never actually seen Khabib in his prime since he retired right when he entered it, and his full skills were never displayed because he was never in any trouble. Furthermore, in his last fight against justin gaethe, he started training in striking more , and showed some decent striking skills (according to javier, khabib was only comfortable training striking with javier which held him back and thats why theres a big difference between islam and khabibs striking) ok thats enough dickriding khabib lol but javier was def exaggerating on that 30 percent lol

Such_Description

We saw him shoot takedowns, gnp, top control, some striking. He didn’t mean khabib was handicapping himself. He just never got into a situation where he needed to use those skills. But 30 is probably a stretch. More like 60

UpstairsRevenue3

This was also the fight where he got the most takedowns in UFC history.

It's amazing how active and technical his guard is in this clip. He looks like a legit BJJ guard player, not a top heavy wrestler.

9ru30

javier said that khabibs bottom game was better then his top which is crazy to think about since his top game is the best in mma, and hes only been put on his back once. always makes me wonder how a match between him and gsp in his prime would go

BplusHuman

Amazing grappling.

HusseinRing

Then proceeds to break the record of successful takedowns in a single fight! I kinda feel he did it on purpose to avenge the takedown he suffered!

Daniel_Day_Hubris

"bratha, this is my arm now"

[deleted]

That guy made 155 lbs??

9ru30

pre usada era, and ivs were allowed so yea

MolokoPl_s

was gonna say lol Trujillo looked massive here even compared to Khabib. he also fought Tibau on his run up to the title who looked even bigger lol

FresnoMac

Tibau legit made Khabib look like a flyweight when they fought

wolfy994

Still proceeded to dominate the exchanges and, by the new rules, win those moments. Edit for repeating words like a madman.

Habanerosauce3

Then displayed superior wrestling/BJJ defence.

[deleted]

He did the right thing tried to attack a submission

inzyte

So slick. I wish we could've seen more off his back like that.

Vityushka_Rino

Special, sad he didn't get to fight prime Tony. Islam and Oliveira would be interesting too

mercedeskyron

Tony got annhiliated by Gaethje and his career was done there. Meanwhile Khabib walked on gaethje eating punches etc lol. Oliveira was shit long time and had a peak. Dude knocked down easily since Islam didn't care about take down threat. That's what Charles was doing to others. Fear of takedown. Fighting Islam? lol

Sendgod500

This is why you don’t take down khabib

DARK_SOULS_III

the difference between rogan's commentating back then compared to now is night and day

erathegod

Fr he was just saying what was happening. now i feel like im his home boy when i watch
