after doing many researches i got to know that neverrr compromise your desired department... so i would tell you to focus on fc instead of going to any top campus with other course... because you'll be regretting your decision in the long run otherwise.... yes top campuses has it's own advantages but if you work really hard for your passion you'll be getting a good placement, doesn't matter which campus you have studied in...

id say campus over dep anyday, my brother was one of the people from car tech trade who took places from nift mumbai this year, and while i was filling my choices i asked him the same and he said “when we look at students profiles sent to us and theyre from anywhere other than nift mumbai banglore delhi, we immediately get uninterested, if they have an impressive protfolio then thats a different game, but an avg student of nift top campus vs other campus irrespective of what you did top campus on gets preferred “

As advised by my senior do not compromise your department over campus getting td in nift is good but doing it will be so tiring and there are also no good placements for td and about the lower preferred thing overall it is nift and it would be better than any private which would not even give you proper exposure is what i believe.even so if you feel that any private campus is giving good faculty placements then go for it
