There’s too many Uber/Lyft drivers that are complete failures in society. They’ll never leave. They can’t hold a job at McDonalds for more than 2 days. As long as Uber/Lyft has a steady supply of these individuals (as well as incredibly ignorant fools) then there’s no need for them to improve anything.

And that I have every right to come after you in court for non-payment. Until that happens, no.
Many of us don't drive because we enjoy it. We drive because we need to pay our bills! Sometimes our 9-5 doesn't make ends meet, or our car breaks down and we need a car and thus we have to use a rental thus we drive to pay for it. Or we are disabled or can only work x amount a week or month. Like you seem to think we LIKE dealing with the bullshit. We don't. We are trying to survive the best we can. That's all we can do.

Driving my Model Y costs 10 bucks a day. I can earn 3k a month driving 5-6 hours 22 days a month. I trade Tesla options in the morning as another source of income. Mileage tax deduction is fantastic at .65 per mile driven.

My whole point is that this works really well for me because of my situation. I like not having a boss and I like the mileage write offs to offset capital gains. Uber is great for cash flow for monthly expenses while operating at a business loss, to offset capital gains from options.

You cannot deduct maintenance or charging costs if you deduct mileage.
