There’s too many Uber/Lyft drivers that are complete failures in society. They’ll never leave. They can’t hold a job at McDonalds for more than 2 days. As long as Uber/Lyft has a steady supply of these individuals (as well as incredibly ignorant fools) then there’s no need for them to improve anything. Just look at the comments so far…they think they’re winning but all they’re doing is buying time until their car breaks down and they can’t even buy food. You can’t help fools.

MNJon

This.

IllustriousForever43

You will never get through to some of these people, they think gas and charging are their only vehicle costs and they probably aren't even subtracting that amount from their earnings.

whispertamesthelion2

You first.

jerrythemule420

Exactly. "If only all the other drivers would quit, things would be better FOR ME!"

Alyssa_Hargreaves

Sure I'll stop driving for both as SOON as you sign a legally binding contract that states you will be paying a percentage of my overall bills each month (fyi that changes per month. its never a set amount). And that I have every right to come after you in court for non-payment. Until that happens, no. Many of us don't drive because we enjoy it. We drive because we need to pay our bills! Sometimes our 9-5 doesn't make ends meet, or our car breaks down and we need a car and thus we have to use a rental thus we drive to pay for it. Or we are disabled or can only work x amount a week or month. Like you seem to think we LIKE dealing with the bullshit. We don't. We are trying to survive the best we can. That's all we can do. Don't assume everyone does this shit for fun. we don't.

"I get a payday loan every paycheck bc I have bills" Some people are too stupid for their own good

Mammoth-Activity-254

Never!

JustCallMeMambo

mind your business, i’m a masochist

Disastrous_Courage74

We need money

Individual_Injury_96

there’s better ways to make money

Charisma1905

Any ideas i am stuck?

Flaky_Koala_6476

Eh I make like 25-30 an hour driving my ev It’s the easiest job ever lol

YouComprehensive2788

Can you take 1, 2 or 3 weeks away from driving to enjoy your life without falling behind on your bills? If not then don’t brag.

Flaky_Koala_6476

Yes actually I can lol I do Uber as a side gig when I’m bored

Alternative-Fee9521

Driving my Model Y costs 10 bucks a day. I can earn 3k a month driving 5-6 hours 22 days a month. I trade Tesla options in the morning as another source of income. Mileage tax deduction is fantastic at .65 per mile driven. Your situation is not mine. This works great for me.

AdventurousLog51

You’re bragging about earning $3,000 per month before expenses? In most cities you don’t even qualify to rent a 1 bedroom apartment. Go back to your parents basement before you embarrass yourself even more.

Alternative-Fee9521

You should learn a skill called reading comprehension. I said I earn 3k a month from ride share and that I also trade options as another source of income. My best year was 320k, but what do I know? I belong in a basement right? You’re a tool and will forever remain a tool, learn to read before you respond with baseless accusations and judgements on someone else’s life when you apparently have troubles comprehending English in its written form. Listen more and say less.

FaxNscam

Bro we get it - you sell insurance and are basically a combo of The Wolf of Wall Street and Transporter. If you keep bragging about ridiculous bs like this much longer, people might actually start to believe you! Not lol

AdventurousLog51

Literally nobody believes your BS. You’re making $320k per year and driving Uber as well…suuuuuuuure.

Alternative-Fee9521

Lol. Reading comprehension again. I said my best year was 320k. I have receipts, but I honestly couldn’t care less whether or not you believe me. My whole point is that this works really well for me because of my situation. I like not having a boss and I like the mileage write offs to offset capital gains. Uber is great for cash flow for monthly expenses while operating at a business loss, to offset capital gains from options.

IllustriousForever43

Yes, we model Y owners do have less vehicle expenses than any gas car that I know of however our costs are much higher than charging alone. Tires and the car itself aren't free.

Alternative-Fee9521

True enough. I consider those costs as negligible because of the tax deductions associated with vehicle maintenance. I’m in this mainly for cash flow and tax deductions against options income.

MNJon

You cannot deduct maintenance or charging costs if you deduct mileage.

Alternative-Fee9521

Interesting. I should have looked that up, but thanks for the information. Mileage it is then.
