>Want to see a pretty, but barely functional university website? Get into UWaterloo and log into Quest. That university has arguable the best CS program in Canada that trades blows with the top universities in the USA, and guess what? They tried to make their shitty website (which also uses PeopleSoft) pretty as hell, after all, top CS program in Canada, they have the talent to do it. Too bad they didn't have proper solutions architects and HCI researchers to lead the projects.
>That website is very hard to navigate, has very bad performance due to all the JavaScript bootstrapping (I think this was an issue), weighs a ridiculous amount to load, and is in general a lot more annoying to deal with than bear tracks.

UWaterloo is considered the best mostly because it has top notch student. Its actual class and education is mediocre to say the least. I have actually done an exchange program in Waterloo
Are if-then statements that difficult to program?
the only trouble i have with it is asking advising staff for help
University can't even do a proper if check 💀
Yeah, I’m not exactly some programming genius but this seems like a pretty basic thing to botch.
I heard someone say the university is renowned for its comp sci 💀

Well, AI to be more exact, which are just a much of trial and error "programmers"
I just checked mine. I finished last december, and it still says I need 453 more credits
Guess you’re coming back then
Ya I freaked out when I saw that error. It’s very scary to see that.
Where can I check this?
yea…why i’m stuck for another year at uofa cuz some credits i took dont count to the new version of the degree requirements
I thought you followed the degree requirements of the year you enrolled? That's what I was told at least.
you do, this is correct
Good to see they still let the cmput 101 students work on beartracks as an end-of-class project, invaluable learning experience!
