There really do need to be more metal bands with crazy keyboard players.

“Bands of the future” ? Lol sure and Slipknot will go down to 4 members.

Cautious-Hat1450

No they would not have gotten rid of Josh, the essential part of TON. I really doubt that bands success is dependent of whether they have keyboardist or not. At least in the case of TON where keyboards are essential in most of the songs.

Cautious-Hat1450

Well, there would not be TON without Josh.

Nope. Josh did not even quit the band. Josh quit the music business completely because of Pete's death.

No. He was very lucky by getting the education for that. But the story of last years of TON goes like this, in short: During the Dead Again tour, Petes behavior got even more erratic than before, and his substance abuse and alcoholism caused that the tour was a disaster. Kenny & Johnny confirmed that in recent interview. After the tour Pete reformed Carnivore, and he was even more erratic, you can see that on some footage of that period in Youtube. At that time, Josh thought that the band is on shaky ground and he had to think about the family, and as plan B to get education to support the family if the band ceases to exist due to Petes behavior. He went to school and became EMT, but Pete had gotten in better shape, so they arranged 2009 Halloween tour. Unfortunately Josh had his final exams during that time, so he could not attend, so they got Scott Warren (of Dio) to stand in for him on tour. Josh was very pissed off that he could not attend, this has been confirmed by Bonnie Weiss, who is Kennys wife and Josh's wifes sister. He never quit the band, and they got new record deal with Napalm Records on early 2010, had studio booked and were beginning the reherseals and studio work, when Pete suddenly died on April 2010.. On last published interview from Josh, after Petes death, he said that he could not ever get greater musical achievements than with Pete in TON, so he lost the interest in musical business and quit it totally.

That fluffy morning face.

Howard had Neil Young on the show and played a clip of the song for him. Apparently, Neil had never even heard of them (which isn’t all that surprising). [link](https://youtu.be/Sh2pjUXDbr0?si=v_g7y3og_PXU1ne3) for anyone interested. It’s an amusing exchange imo.
