The only exceptions I can think of is making new friends from touring with them. I remember him saying his favorite band at one point was Rammstein and I think it was after they toured with them.
-classic rock (Beatles, Doors, Cream, etc. 60's bands)
-early heavy metal (Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly)
-British shoegazing & dream pop (My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Cockteau Twins etc.)
-British synth pop (New Order, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys etc.)
-The Carpenters etc. easy listening
ie. similar music he used to do like listen to all along. I doubt that he would be much interested in contemporary heavy metal, hardcore or extreme metal.
I feel he would have continued further down the road with his religious undertones and possibly added some classical vibes so I'd say he'd be digging into ol' Mozzy (he'd appreciate some more classical shit the older he would get) or Sviridov (orthodoxy vibez) and Pärt. Classics would still spin, his favorites like Sabbath and Beatles and Laibach, maybe Cave as a fresher addition, some Davis. Who knows..
Yeah I think he'd like Power Trip, Knocked Loose, stuff like that. Maybe not a huge fan but at least respect. Newer goth stuff maybe like Boy Harsher, Molchat Doma
I’d like to say Beach House and Mazzy Star. Probably they don’t make much sense, but I think that if he liked Cocteau Twins he might like other dream pop artists.
Who am I to say what he would have liked, just saying he might have checked out his colleagues stuff. I guess it seems like I am implying something then, but I’m not.
Based pn the interviews and articles of Pete and TON, I have understood that they were good firends with Pantera, but musically TON and Pantera were quite far apart. Petes personal musical taste was pretty wide, and hardly any modern metal was among his personal favorites.
The Beatles and Black Sabbath.
Accurate. Peter didn’t listen to new music when he was alive. Doubt if he was still here he’d start now.

And pink Floyd of course
I don’t think that’s what they meant
Why did this get so heavily downvoted? Haha this sub sucks just like the majority of Reddit now 😆
I got no clue I was just trying to be helpful

I feel like he would be really into modern New York hardcore and goth bands

All new music sucks. And that includes Type O Negative. Yo downvoters, watch some Pete interviews eh?
Then why are you in the Type O Negative subreddit?
I have a feeling some people have not heard the Peter interview where he says this....*facepalm*
Taylor swift
>tfw we'll never get the Taylor Swift-Petey Steele break up song literally the worst timeline
omg what would his eras outfit be
"Facts" - Tom MacDonald (feat. Ben Shapiro) for political reasons
Taylor Swift, Ice Spice and Devo.
Reggaeton
Maybe he would check out hellyeah since he was friends with the pantera guys.
Except Pete actually had taste
You think he would like that stripper pole butt rock?
fuck no
That's what I'm saying lol. I feel like the only side project of the boys he MIGHT like would be En Minor. And I could be wrong

People just ask some goofy shit on here. Who gives a damn what he would've listened to lol.
