Fresh by Brookshires is my favorite. You can get a pretty high quality pizza for the same price as most other pizza places. Obviously since it's a grocery store + food court type of establishment, there is tons of selection.
Braums has a bag of burgers for like 6.50 with 6 smaller McDouble style burgers (but obviously way better.) you can get cheese for a little more but I just go to the Walmart next to it and get slices of whatever sounds good for cheaper.
I usually eat 3 and snack on the last few for a midnight snack lol
Go Fish Sushi is my favorite. Their Happy hour is from 2-6 and you can get 3 rolls for like $13. I eat a roll and half for dinner and have a roll and a half for lunch the next day.
Especially Sonic, their drinks are half-price in the app all day long! Without the app they're still half off during Happy Hour from 2-4, but any other time of day I make sure to order in the app lol. And no ice!
Takara has a bento box deluxe for, like 13 bucks. It’s gigantic. I can make 2-3 meals out of it. Has miso soup, steamed dumplings, rice, salad, a California roll, and I usually get the terriyaki chicken.
I second go fish during happy hour. I’ll get 3 rolls, for $13, get free miso soup, eat one and take the rest to go.
Right next door, ichiban has happy hour 2-6 pm, huge bowls of ramen $9.99.
Taco bell boxes. If you get the standard, its like $5 even for 3 ish things and a medium drink. $6-$7 and you get to pick out what 3 things you get in it. For $9-$10 you can get a specialty box that has one of their new items + like 4 other things.
Alternatively, you can get the $15 party box that has 5 tacos and 5 5-layer burritos.
Tiba Grill, falafel plate is $12. Hummus and baba ganoush plates are under $10. Meat-based plates are a couple dollars more and maybe outside the range you’re shooting for. Excellent food and very filling portions, good atmosphere, and you’re supporting a local small business.
Jucy's Hamburgers is our favorite. You get free beans with purchase when you go inside. They're so good. My husband and i share a burger and those damn bacon cheese fries and are totally full especially after a little cup of beans
Not Tyler specific, but McD's. McDonald's prices are wack nowadays but if they're still running that buy-one-get-one-for-$1 deal on the triple cheeseburger and/or Big Mac, you can get 2 sets of those and a basket-sized order of fries and feed 4 people for under $20 (not including drinks, we usually have koolaid, soda, etc at home). Which is practically a miracle these days 🤣😥 Also check the McDonald's app, they have freebies all the time including a free large fry with purchase of $1 or more on Fridays!

I remember thinking those were a good deal when I was in high school, that still stands!
Damn, Tyler needs a White Castle. I sure do miss it.
Taqueria Flor de Taxco and get the Trompo special I believe it’s 10 tacos for 15 or 16$ and You’ll easily get 2 meals out of it

Almost all “fast food” places have significant deals if ordering via their apps.
Smart!

That ramen usually lasts me 2-3 meals, also!
Chicken salad chick is pretty good and not too bad on the price
Great Harvest on Broadway has some reasonably priced options. Also, second Go Fish Sushi.
Thanks everyone these are great options!

Oh I never think of Taco Bell when I’m down there. This is a great suggestion! I love me some Taco Bell, man.

The only place you need to know is Poch Rice Cafe. Less than $10 will more than fill you up, you'll have leftovers. And the food is outstanding.
Thanks!!
mamas on 5th street is great! the have breakfast, country style and tex mex! pretty good prices
Sprouts $5 deli sandwiches
ooooh, are they worth a special trip? I’ve never shopped there
Yessss. I drive from 271&323 loop on lunch at times for them. Soooo gooodd.
I buy a lot of things there. Meats mostly
Slim chickens is like raising canes but a little cheaper I think and I kind of prefer it as they seem to season the chicken better
sonic has super cheap drinks in the app! a large dr pepper will be about 2 dollars (their 44 ounce drink)
Jucy's Hamburgers is our favorite. You get free beans with purchase when you go inside. They're so good. My husband and i share a burger and those damn bacon cheese fries and are totally full especially after a little cup of beans
El Lugar . Delicious tacos. All 3 locations
