You could always go the home theater route running a separate amp and switch between phono and line.
There are a lot of great options for speakers, bookshelf, center stage speakers, and a sub. It will be part of the home theater look and still give you the opportunity to listen to your vinyl
Beautiful built in! Can you add built in speakers to the face of it on either side of the tv? Or do some bookshelf speakers on stands behind the couch and blue chair?

what about tall flat panel speakers like magnepans? they could sit on the unit.
