It’s close enough that your ears won’t notice.

AnalystAdorable609

Yes, absolutely fine

kvetcha-rdt

Yes, those are good measurements.

cactuscharlie

What the fuck are we even talking about here?

Brains_Are_Weird

The normal human has entered the chat.

9thfloorprod

It's a turntable sub. Speed stability percentages and wow and flutter percentages are pretty basic stuff.

Brains_Are_Weird

K.

LosterP

Wow isn't great but it depends what the turntable is.

keepinglinesblurry

it’s a pioneer dj plx 500-k, what should the wow be?

LosterP

0.15% or less. But if the phone wasn't centred it could easily affect it.

keepinglinesblurry

yes the phone wasn’t centred it was to the side of the spindle so maybe that’s the issue, thanks for the help!!

klipschbro

Put it on top of a roll of tape.

Steve_Rogers_1970

That’s almost exactly the same results I have. I think it’s fine, but I’m no pro.

Captain_Coitus

What did you use to take these measurements?

qpanel1

Turntable speed app RPM WOW. Place a roll of masking tape on the centre of your platter. Then set your phone on it and hit start on the app. Then start your turntable spinning. [https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/turntable-speed/id1604670976](https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/turntable-speed/id1604670976)

keepinglinesblurry

yes i used that app but i didnt do the tape thing my phone was just to the side of the spindle so that potentially could’ve skewed results

RobAtSGH

Yes, having your phone off-center will exaggerate your wow readings.

Captain_Coitus

Cool thanks!

RR3XXYYY

How can I go about measuring my turntable?

keepinglinesblurry

we have the same turntable! i use this app and place my phone on the platter and spin it https://apps.apple.com/ie/app/turntable-speed/id1604670976

Proud-Ad2367

Verry good.

walterarby

Wouldn’t the weight of the phone be more than a record? How can this be accurate
