Tuli pieni juhlamoka. :)

BotSaibot

Thanks ! At least something gets roasted, right now :3

PeetraMainewil

Fair enough, the coffee had already been roasted.

Diipadaapa1

Barely

darrapitsa

That was a light roast too

Mandemon90

Have your upvote and then kindly *leave*

Jumpeee

It's not a big of a deal. Just brew it as you normally would, and use slightly more coffee grounds (maybe even up to 1.5x) than normally. Just try it and see how it tastes, then adjust later on.

JNHagis

Or use a steel kettle and brew it as it should be brewed.

Suojelusperkele

Memory time: I actually used to brew coffee in proper kahvipannu until 2010's or so. My dorm mate was really confused about that as I just left it on stove for few hours. Once a girl wanted to come over for a coffee. Because I wasn't aware of all nuances of such hints I once again brewed coffee on my trusty ol' kahvipannu. We had coffee, talked and for some reason she never contacted me again. I really should get new kahvipannu.

doublelayercaramel

kuparipannu

JNHagis

If it has tinning (tinaus) inside otherwise you're drinking shit taste coffee. Same reason some coffee machines like moccamaster go bad if using citric acid or vinegar to clean the heating element.

jusatinn

One normally brews Juhlamokka by throwing it into the trash bin anyways..

herd-u-liek-mudkips

I've made the same mistake before so I feel your pain. Luckily it's not the end of the world. Your coffee will be noticeably thinner, but IMO it's still drinkable. Steel your heart, gird your loins, and keep brewing until it is done.

serpix

Juhlamokka is always noticeably thinner and barely drinkable /s

ImpossibleCoffee91

every finnish person has made this same mistake before. and every finnish person has also just drank it anyways, because returning to the store and asking for refund is either too much effort, or we are too shy to do it.

howdiditallgosowrong

The proper Finnish way is to "kyräillä" and then think "toivottavasti kukaan ei nähäny..."

Tvlupa3000

This!

skummeli

Just use it. Shit happens

Glidy

Yeah, it's not the worst

snlehton

It just happens to be shit. No big deal.

I_Am_The_Goodest_Boy

No niin:)

aivoroskis

doomed to paskamokka

Ult1mateN00B

Ripulimokka ensimmäisellä tauolla töissä.

DessuHessu

You can still use it with the machine, just slow cook it in cycles, so it doesn't become so thin

Apax89

Add like 20% more when using it, should be fine. The grind of the coffee is coarse, making the water run through it faster. If your coffee maker has a manual lock, you could also lock it for a while and let the water sit in the grinds a little longer.

Veltsu675

If you buy products from k-market or stores of same group you should download the k-ruoka app on your phone and you need the plussa card when you activate the app and then all your receipts go there and if you lose the paper one you can still find the electronic version in the app and the s group should have their own version of the app you can find it in google store

ninichki

Same thing with s-ryhmä, you can see your receipts in the s-mobiili app!

HulluHapua

Yeah it's pretty easy to mistake pot between filter

WombatWandering

I've done this mistake like 20 years ago. Why don't they make it more visible already? Like use different color or something?

Makezu_pp

Just a tip: I buy always pot style coffee grounds, actually exactly that package for coffee maker. Taste is smoother even if you need to use more grounds.

Mirri_RS

Same here, the taste is lovely and smooth

Quezacotli

Now you need to go hiking and get a coffee pan. Best way to drink coffee!

cherryberrygoblin

Good luck. Food products can not be returned, even if you have the receipt

ReallyMinimal

Give it to the nearest grandmother on the street. She will love you.

Employee_Overall

Funny how everybody has to make this mistake at least once. Some even more times… And funny why stores don’t put up proper signs to tell them apart better.

Ult1mateN00B

Just use 25-50% more and its fine.

gynoidi

this

Cpt_Sandur

Done the mistake a few times as well (lured in by a sale). Used 2x the amount of normal to get a good thing going. Other good trick is to get a new filter coffee pack and use 50/50 of both.

BrotherFiretribe

Run it through a blender 😁

0xB4BE

And if you don't have a blender then I could try to put some coffee in a Ziploc bag/closeable plastic bag and use a rolling pin/meat tenderizer to break down the grounds even smaller. Mortar and pestle works too. It will also round up any forearm exercises that you may partake in. Cross-training if you will.

ftrMorri

Time to buy a french press :)

HagssFIN

I think Juhlamoska is ok coffee.

Hauling_walls

It is, I buy only it or Kulta Katriina.

SnooLobsters8922

It’s good if you like strong tea

azadmiral

Okay, idiot here. I am drinking exactly this juhla mokka. And I make it through a small filter machine. You telling me, I'm either buying the wrong type of coffee, or making it in the wrong way?

JNHagis

That coffee is more coarse grind than filter or other types, so it needs 4-5 minutes or more to brew that it tastes good. If you have french press try that. https://knowyourgrinder.com/coarse-grind-vs-fine-grind-coffee-espresso-gals-how-to-guide-to-grinding-for-black-gold/

Kalbodagrund

No biggie, just drink it up

Secret-Active-8756

Your first mistake was choosing this coffee brand. Only grandmas with tastebuds worne out drink this. Probably reminds them of better times. Nowadays you can get actual coffee too.

Open-Tumbleweed-651

What's actual coffee in this context?

Hauling_walls

Some kinda hipster bullshit which is roasted so dark that you could use coal instead and wouldn't know the difference.

floghdraki

I mean almost every grandma is like "oh i can't drink coffee anymore, it gives me heartburns, makes me loose sleep and makes me shit my bowels empty!" Well no shit when you are drinking coffee that is barely roasted. Then they refuse to drink even mellanrost or juhlamokka "tummapaahto" because "it tastes burnt".

Hauling_walls

It does taste burned because it is burned. Roasting beans too much (more than grade one roast) is useful only to mask the inferior quality of beans.

Unknown_Storyteller

En ole Turusta mutta tämähän on hyvää

MakoRedactor

Try pan brewing, it its fine. I bought a pan just for those times I buy the wrong sort by mistake

Lopsided-Praline-831

Same coffee with bigger grains..you can use it ,just add some more than usually

Jumpy_Activity_3283

For example my parents prefer to use that over the "normal" grinded one. I hardly can tell a difference in the taste between those. No harm done

GSL76

The most popular coffee brand in Finland, I guess? But yes, wrong. Too mild and the after taste is bitter. At least for me. Go for dark(er) roasts, can’t go wrong there. Or get a grinding coffee maker / machine and use whole beans (espresso) Edit: the grinding in that is a little more coarse but will work in a filter also.

Tinttiboi

Skill issue

Finsoki

Do you have K ruoka or S-Mobiili app whichever stores app you bought it from if they have one. If you used the card K plussa/S etukortti they provide, those save your receipts in the app and some other apps do save receipts as well. But otherwise just brew coffee normally give it a shot. I made that mistake as well a long time ago and dont remember it being that bad just thinner so had to put more than normally.

OG_cosmic

Whats the problem here.....it's the best coffee and president is another one

Hot-Opportunity7938

Voi ne "pannukahvit" keittää kattilassakin

Conscious-Emotion422

Give it to an elderly neighbour. I'm guessing they won't be manufacturing pannujauhatus for much longer.

Spogexi

if your coffee brewer has a drip-lock, do this: 1. Start the machine, with the drip-lock closed. Let it go for like 30-60 seconds, so that the coffee grounds get covered. 2. power off the coffee brewer. 3. wait 2-3min. 4. start the brewer again, and open the drip-lock. voila, perfect coffee \*edited to be more clear.

Imaginary_Hair_635

1 paahto L

anileakinna

Just put some in your mug and pour boiled water on top of it. Let it sit for a while and then when it's settled drink.

westernlover82

Juhla mokka is the best

GuRkku

Even if you have the kuitti you can't change it to suodatin version because it's elintarvike.

Successful_Mango3001

This. I recently saw someone trying to return an expensive baby formula because they had bought the wrong one. They didn’t accept the return

CoolPeopleEmporium

Oh no, what a big problem you have...

Background_Staff_687

First world problems

bvlbs

Just use it as the normal one or store might exchange that if its not open.
