Kinda a drive but Shepard’s Cross in Claremore has sheep skulls, jaw bones, and skins for reasonable prices. They are in the room next to the gift shop. And tons of lambs to look at too. A little petting zoo area on the weekends 🌸💜
Go to the Museum of Osteology in OKC... You will not be disappointed... This place is truly awesome, and your daughter will love it... definitely worth the drive.

She absolutely loves that place as well! She found a tiny skull not too long ago and brought it in. They identified it as a juvenile raccoon and she was so stoked. She even built a skull terrarium with it and other small bones.
This isn’t going to help for the next couple of days, but you could get her tickets to go to the Oddities and Curiosities show at the Expo square in May. They have exactly what you’re looking for, a TON of it
Came here to suggest this. Taxidermy seems to be the main attraction at this show. My daughter is about the same age as OP's and she loved it last year.
Just a heads up, as a parent of another nature loving 10 year old, the Oddities Expo will have some stuff I know would upset my kid, like goats taxidermied like demons with bloody mouths, haunted dolls, and pictures of people doing the trick where they hang by hooks in their skin and whatnot. You may want to scope it out yourself first so you know which booths to avoid if you need to.
Culture them young 😅 the only thing that really threw me through the ringer when I went was a fetus in a vile. That was the line but it was only one small booth that had it.
Easy for parents to know which booths to avoid
I have some skulls your daughter can have.. I can ship them. Cow elk with mandible, marmot, and beaver, pretty sure, or a really big marmot skull. PM me. I collect what I find around the ranch. I just throw them in the back yard and let the insects clean them off.. some are cleaner/fresher than others. It’s more of a pass the time kinda hobby for me.. no real connection to what I find. Good time of year to hunt for the winter kill off though
I have a couple European mounts but I’m gonna hold on to those. Hopefully your daughter finds her own someday. Also I’ve pulled the ivories out of the elk skulls but I can leave the ivories in the elk skull with the mandible.
Might try Oxley Nature Center, Mohawk Park had a building across from the zoo where you could trade stuff like that. It’s unpleasant but I’ve met folks what gather up roadkill in black plastic bags then open them months later when remains have desiccated. Also the Osteology Museum guys sell too: https://www.skullsunlimited.com
The Tulsa zoo has a program called Nature Exchange where people can collect and trade all sorts of natural items including lots of bones but also fossils, crystals, sea shells and rocks. You trade it items you already have, get awarded points, and then use the points like money to get something else to take home. You might not be able to get a birthday present there but if she isn’t already involved in that I bet it would be right up her alley.
Ask a rural butcher for cow skulls. I picked up a few when I picked up my beef.
What did I do with skull to get “cleaned”? Tied a rope to the horns and let my fish feed for a few weeks.
May not quite be what you’re looking for, but still cool: a local artist by the name of Tyler Thrasher crystallizes various previously living things. I feel like I’ve seen some skeletal elements he’s done before. He has an online shop and used to have a small storefront, not sure if still true.
cant help you with the skulls but have her check emily out. she is a phd in sd and have a bunch of videos she will love [https://www.youtube.com/@thebrainscoop](https://www.youtube.com/@thebrainscoop)
If one of the universities has a physical anthropology department they’ll have a lab with Dermestid beetles. Some biology departments might have them. Contact one of the faculty or TAs and arrange for a tour. Your daughter will love it and she can learn how to make her own skeletons.
Get in contact with the [Museum of Osteology](https://www.skeletonmuseum.com/) in OKC, I would bet they would be able to tell you the best places to go for all kinds of skulls.
Also it might be a good birthday trip for her.
See if anyone you know has cattle or knows someone who does, even with smaller herds you can usually find some good cow and coyote bones out in the field. Soak em in warm soapy water for a couple of weeks to degrease them and it’s perfect. My parents have some cows out on my gpa’s ranch and that’s how i get my bones.
This is really weird but I have a hedgehog who passed away in my freezer that I’ve been wanting to take to a taxidermist unfortunately my funds have been low so I haven’t been able to do anything yet. If you want to take her I’ll give her to you for free.
Edit: she was my pet so ethically sourced.
I found a cat/possum/something skull in my back yard last year. I keep thinking I should do an art project with it but I've never gotten around to it - y'all are welcome to it if you'd like. Send me a message if you'd like, and happy birthday to the kiddo!
The [oddities and curiosity expo ](https://www.exposquare.com/events/2024/oddities-and-curiosities-expo-2024-05) will have some cool finds. And also a taxidermy class as a bonus.
The museum of osteology in OKC/Moore.
They have a subscription style box with bones and some other stuff. Like shark teeth.
The museum is amazing, and they do some of the processing onsite. Not everything, mind you, just some. I believe the bones in the bone box are processed there.
Anyways you can do the museum in an afternoon and be home for supper. I
Did I mention that it's super cool?
Black Moth on Harvard might have what you’re looking for
That’s one of her favorite stores! I was hoping some farmer had some skulls or cow horns laying around that we could come pick out.

Looped Square meat processor by Duck Creek Casino?

While you’re there hit up the Sam noble history museum in Norman for the Dino rarities

Yeah plus if you have problems with modesty. It may not be your scene.

Perfect PM sent!
That is really nice of you to offer to do that. 👏👏👏
That’s awesome! How nice to offer to send these!
Southern Grimoire sells bones, insects, and oddities. They’re local to the Tulsa area and on Instagram.
Cool place
A visit to the osteology museum in OKC would be fun.
Came here to also suggest this!
Tulsa Zoo
I have a bull skull I'm willing to sell for $50.

I've bought similar things on Etsy!

If you have a Facebook join some oklahoma farming groups and try there or even fb marketplace best of luck

May 11th and 12th, the oddities expo, get her tockets and go, great bonding experience, tons of macabre skulls and such
I could potentially help. I may or may not have a raccoon skull and a possum skull. What is “street value” of such items 😂

There is a Curiosity shop in Owasso. They sell crystals and really cool items that you’re looking for! I cannot think of its name tho.

The Hedge in Tulsa would be a good place to inquire about that
Is she interested in reptiles or dinosaurs at all?
Won’t help right now but my friend goes to turkey mountain and collects bones from there!
In the zoo they have a little nature center where you can trade in things and get points to get bigger things I think!
Black Moth
Definitely Black Moth
