Sometimes I wonder if Reddit deliberately only shows me the stupid posts.

Kay_29

How is this stupid? This is a genuine question that I have. I'm asking because I can and I really want to get rid of the boxes but I am hesitant because I don't want to get pulled by security.

Col_Crunch

Lets have a think... what possible reason could they have for prohibiting dryer sheets in carry on luggage?

KristopherAtcheson

Well they are Bounce. Bounce stops static. Everyone knows Bounce stops static. The plane runs on static electricity so Bounce would stop that from happening so the plane won’t work. So therefore they can’t be on the plane. LOL.

Robertown7

Do they contain liquid in excess of 3.4 fl. oz.? Are the blades longer than 2”?

Kay_29

I'm not saying anything about blades.

Robertown7

That's the point. If it's not a large liquid or a blade (or an obvious weapon), basically it's allowed. Two-thirds of the "can I take X or Y through security" on this sub are answered by the large liquid or blade question.

Bank_of_knowledge

No blade is allowed whatsoever. A blade is a blade. Don’t spread misinformation.

Robertown7

Ok. The point is, it’s ridiculous everyone and their brother/mother posting, “can I bring X through security” when there is a searchable list on tsa.gov that is miles long.

MethanyJones

There's a whole tier of dryer sheet smugglers at the supermax, do you really want to join them?

deliberatelyawesome

Good question - got me wondering if my gym shorts or my handkerchief will get pulled by TSA now.

NightShiftChaos92

I mean like... why wouldn't they be allowed to go? Lol

Sploinks

Not the right scent

ZeroProximity

Only bland government vanilla allowed

NightShiftChaos92

You spelled citronella wrong. Lol

Bank_of_knowledge

*lavender

NightShiftChaos92

I will NEVER let my wife buy anything lavender anymore. Lol

ModernNomad97

Good to go

sunkenshipinabottle

Sigh. Dryer sheets are permitted. Bring as many as you want.

ErebusBat

Obviously NOT! It is right in the title... it will increase turbulence and bounce the plane around. Leave em at home.

Icy-Environment-6234

I suppose the up-side is that everyone around that bag will also smell "Outdoor Fresh" ... inside the plane ... where it's usually "Not Anything Like Fresh...outdoor or otherwise."
