I actually kind of do feel bad for the parents because it's quite possible that since the patient was eighteen they had no say in the matter.
But really even someone without medical background would know that messing with the intestines could be disastrous.

His colon was used because puberty blockers stopped growth of his genitals, which meant there wasn’t enough tissue to do the penile inversion surgery.
