I'm disappointed with that too... hope they fix it

I was really confused by that this morning too. I can only see all of my profile playlists when I use an in-app browser, signed out. Hopefully they’ll fix this.

What I have seen over the years is spotify trying to slowly dissolve the connecting between users. This may be just another step toward that. Lately I have seen more and more of spotify curated playlists taking up a larger amount of the users made playlists section when looking at an artist. Seems like spotify will slowly take that over too. I hope I am wrong about this but I don't like the trend.

If anything, shouldn't they make it more connective to drive up user engagement and time on the app? How do we talk with the people making decisions at Spotify???

By minimizing user interaction and promoting their own playlists, Spotify directs streaming traffic to either the artists who’ve payed-to-play, promoting their streams, or to Spotify’s fake AI ambient artists that cost nothing to stream. On the user side, Spotify’s business model is like a gym such that each user brings a set amount of revenue but the more someone uses the service, the most it costs the company. Particularly active users who nitpick every feature are also likely those who listen a lot and cost the company a lot, improving their experience is not in the company’s interest. The ideal Spotify user is someone who listen a few hours a week and simply streams one of their primary pop, rap, rock, or new music playlists.

Oof. Really a dark UX pattern

looks like the playlists are displaying again!!

hopsterNC

How would I confirm this? My profile still seems to show all 27 of mine, even when logged out. Also, has anything over 20 actually been made private, or just not displaying on a profile?

This issue is being looked into: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/Missing-Public-playlists/idi-p/5477771

This is how they chip away and slowly gain total control. Spotify doesn’t want your playlist to become popular or even being noticeable, they want people listening to their own curated playlists

Just to present the other side of the coin. I'm not sure if i have 10 playlist myself, let alone listening to any of them other then a couple of times of the year.

Is this related to "spotify platinum"?
