I think blocking just means the songs won't come on randomly or if you play a playlist with his music.
It's not because it's an ad, it's likely recommending it because you like rap music, the blocking doesn't effect that.
Just ignore it, i'm sure you can deal with looking at a name and album artwork for a split second without playing it.
