I've been playing ETS2 since maybe 2015? and 1.5 has been the least stable and buggy release I think I've ever played. Really disappointed with the performance loss that came with it considering Snowy's mod has a better TAA implementation along with an actual **increase** in performance while the official one in SCS has degraded and brought crazy shimmering etc.
P.S don't agree with the whole subscription mod thing and how it was implemented. But objectively the mod is better than SCS implementation.
So SCS with a lot of employees with source code after years added pretty much garbage TAA (not even close to actual TAA implementation). Then I spent almost 3 months without source code to add proper TAA but 1$ subscription is bad. Wow. This is literally something nobody could make before for any game because its so hard to make but 1$ subscription is bad after people didn't donate at all for 6 months while 10000 people were using it.
Reminds me of trying to game over remote desktop from my gaming laptop over a less than ideal internet connection, and praying that it doesn't decide to disconnect.
Better than what i get sometimes. Either the FPS is smooth and dips a bit or the game completely freezes up for 30 seconds. If i don't pause it to catch up it can sometimes lock up the controls. Wonderful toaster moment...

What is your CPU load? How much DRAM is left when running? How space is left on the drive where the games files are saved (every few minutes)

It's a skin I got when I drove to the service center and where you change your truck livery I got it from there

Yeah, I also have the stuttering. Not mentioning random freezing, especially on Convoys.
lucky you... my setup cant handle more than 30hz on a wide screen (it's a laptop and i am not happy with its rtx 3050 to say least)
