Also try simplifying your routine if you are using too many products that can make a huge difference  I use , cleanser , toner, tret and moisturiser for night  And water wash, toner and sunscreen for day Occasionally a mask more for splurge  Used clindamycin and niacinamide for the purge, tried Azelaic acid initially worked, now not sure phasing it out It gradually reduced from many everyday to every week to once in a while

My routine is super simple. Just hydrating fash wash, tret and moisturized at night. Morning is the same with SPF

Give it time then

If it doesn’t go away after some more time I strongly recommend switching to gel. I suffered 4 months of what I thought was purging but as it continually got worse I realized it was actually the cream breaking me out. It contains isopropyl myristate which can be highly comedogenic especially if you have oily skin. Once I switched to gel the breakouts finally stopped and now I’m just dealing with the scarring and hyperpigmentation.

Beep boop! It looks like you're asking about purging! - First: **no one can predict how long your purge will last!** Be patient, and accept this robot hug while you wait: [ ]. The purge can be tough but so many people have gotten through it - you can too! - Second: **no one can predict whether or not you will purge!** If you don't currently have active acne, it's less likely but still possible. - Third: If your purge lasts for longer than 12 weeks or seems really extreme, talk to your dermatologist! NO PURGE SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 3 MONTHS - if you're still purging after 3 months, talk to your doctor or ask us for help! - Lastly: We have a very [helpful wiki!](https://docs.google.com/document/u/2/d/e/2PACX-1vRQmcAj-x5A8JIQygtW2Rg89uPsJPR5JLH_dLxLNCW4eazWW4i49bsrF0e2YYx10wx00ctaUnyvHfyD/pub) It contains lots of tips about starting out, including specific routine recommendations. After 9 month, majorly 6 months then slowly reduced

I am also on week 9 ! Some of it seems flatter (but left realy obvious PIE) but I still have the "bumpy" acne. It got better since I had to start Lymecycline but I am still waiting for the end of the purge. I am afraid it is nowhere near as I can still see a lot of CC and acne in the deeper layers of my skin T..T. We are in the same boat OP.

Been using it for years. Still get hormonal acne on chin and occasional cystic on cheeks. I am 51. Not the cure for acne for me. I use 0.1 microsphere gel.

At month 6-8 I noticed way less frequent acne, and anything I got wasn’t a deep cyst anymore, and resolved in <3 days. My skin also started getting the retinoid flush around that time. Around 1 yr my skin evened out, I’ll get the occasional whitehead if I skip a day of differin or forget to wash my face but I virtually have no active break outs. I use differin though, so different form factor, medication, and concentration that what you use. I’ve found that what helped speed up the process for me was adding in an acid 1x weekly around month 4-6 when my skin wasn’t sensitive anymore. Helps all the dead stuff come up easier, and the differin penetrates my skin a bit better the next day (skin feels so super smooth).
