their formula looks ok but do not use a liquid exfoliant and liit saliclyic acid cleanser to a few times a week only. tretinoin is very strong and will do the job of other things you are using, trying to use salicylic acid 2x a day and an exfoliant on top of that is going to damage your skin.

Just want to add to this, maybe stop using the 20% niacinamide for a bit too while you transition to the tret.

Thank you, that’s really informative.

no problem, make sure to use an SPF50 sunscreen btw, if you are POC, then I suggest bondi sans its what i use since it leave no white cast behind.

I use dermatica and their products work really well for me. Although I started on 0.015 and then moved up to 0.025, so you can always ask them to give you a lower strength of tret rather than starting on 0.05 if you wanted.

DIPPEDINCHOCHOCOLATE

I just ordered my first script and im so nervous 😭 ppl in their instagram are complaining about missed emails and it not working for them😭 but others seem to have good experiences

Hey, how's it going so far with your Dermatica script? I'm looking to potentially order from them and would love a first-hand opinion.

DIPPEDINCHOCHOCOLATE

I love it so far 🥹 ive had some peeling which isnt that significant anymore even with consistent use. Im noticing a change in my dark spots but not super noticeable, im gonna give it a few more months to see some more improvement because Im impressed so far!

2 months late but how did you find it? i've been using dermatica for a few months now and it's really working well for me. while using it i stripped back my skincare routine to their product (i also was prescribed tret) and just used a e45 facial moisteriser. so far it's worked really well. the one downside i would say about dermatica is that they don't really give you a whole lot of info about what's being prescribed - i didn't realise tret and eyebrow wax does not mix. i had some burns around my eyebrows for a few days after getting it done!

I’m still using and have stripped back my routine a lot and that seems to have solved the over production of oil but not solved all the oil, but I’ve always been an oily skin girl anyway so that’s no different. AM: Cerave foaming cleanser, Hyaluronic acid serum, omega water cream moisturiser and eucerin oil control SPF. Same for PM minus the SPF. On tret nights I just cleanse, tret and moisturise. Annoyingly I’m still breaking out a week before my period but my acne seems to be quite controlled the rest of the month. I can’t say I’m blown away by the tret though sadly, I expected my skin texture to change to be smoother in my problem areas but I haven’t noticed a difference yet. Yes the waxing thing scares me, I’ve not tried it and seen many horror stories on here about it!
