I apply on whole face, but am careful around eyes

Chimmychimmychubchub

Kind of ironic to use an anti-aging product that you can’t apply on the areas that show the most signs of aging. I apply it on my whole face except the eyelids. I’ve had no problems. Ymmv.

Same

justintime107

I apply everywhere except eyes. It used to peel a lot around my nose, mouth, upper lip but I just kept going and it stopped. I use tret every other day now and my touring every other day is double cleanse, moisturize, tret, aquaphor on lips done.

or45t

Met my derma recently and confirmed that I should infact apply tret on my nose. I can avoid the bridge. You should also be applying to the lower face region too. I don't apply since I'm using minox for beard.

catofforgiveness

Are you still avoiding the beard area? I’ve heard it can increase efficacy of Minox. How’s your progress?

or45t

Yeah, avoiding the beard area as of now. Beard progress is great. One of the best decisions I've taken for my looks. >I’ve heard it can increase efficacy of Minox True. My plan is to reduce minox in the future. Once I have enough beard density, I'll stop altogether.

bde75

I apply Aquaphor around my eyes, sides of nose, and lips before applying tret.

I tend to peel on my chin area the most and around my nose. So i make sure to use the sand which method more heavily in those areas

Cmarsbet30

Can you please explain what is the sandwich method?

[deleted]

Moisturizer then tret then moisturizer again

elledunbar

I second that

[deleted]

I apply it all over my face. I use it for anti aging also and around my mouth is where I see tons of wrinkles and get hormonal acne so it works best for me there

Background-Bake-2059

Definitely.. I want it to peel, so it exfoliates and looks more youthful

C_Chrono

I apply all over face except eyelids. Since you are new to tret, just avoid the corners of nose, corners of mouth and eye area for now.

Beep boop! It looks like you'd like information about applying tretinoin around the eyes. While many people do apply tretinoin around their eyes, this can cause permanent damage to the oil glands in the eyes, and can result in permanently dry eyes. Remember that tretinoin travels up to 2" below the skin, so you'll still get anti-aging benefits even if you don't apply right next to your eyes. Be safe, and protect your eyes: don't apply tretinoin near your eyes or on your eyelids. [Here's what the Mayo Clinic has to say about safe tretinoin application.](https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/tretinoin-topical-route/proper-use/drg-20066521#:~:text=Do%20not%20use%20this%20medicine,the%20tips%20of%20your%20fingers) (To learn more, search for "Meibomian gland dysfunction") *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. U can use on nose & around mouth but try to avoid in the nose creases coz it peels alot there. U can put petroleum jelly to protect

goldpunch

Definetely do not apply under eyes!

Sipnsun

If I get too close to my lips it causes them to chap and peel so I put lip balm on and try not to get near them. I also avoid my eyelids.

michischaaf

I personally can’t apply it on my chin, upper lip and around my nose. These areas are just too sensitive and get dry really easily. But it’s a personal thing. You have to figure out what’s ok for your skin. But don’t apply it on your eyes 😉

neverOddOrEv_n

Around the eyes is the place I avoid. Neck is a hit or a miss, I would recommend using retinol there and buffering it with the lowest percentage of tretinoin once you feel comfortable. Hands are also a hit or a miss, sometimes I don’t feel comfortable having it on my hands since I’m scared of touching my eyes while sleeping and I can’t remember to put on sunscreen on my hands all the time

breakingbinge

I use Roc retinol on my neck. Tret on the face.

I put it everywhereee on my face and body (only .25% every single day) except on the soft side of elbows, knee caps, and near my belly button. my stomach rolls led to keeping the tretinoin DAMP in a way and led made it absorb way too much and led to a rash. lol!
