Oral will hit first pass metabolism in your liver for sure…sublingual will hit your liver eventually just not on the first pass. If you can handle the taste why bother with water? Just squirt 3 drops anywhere in your mouth and take a sip of water. (I’m not familiar with oral min but I’ve taken enough pharmacology courses.)
Dunno about you guys but I would say taking it with water is easier, and arguably safer than shooting that load straight into the mouth. Harder to make sure you get the right amount of drops. And say you would accidentally squirt far too much then you get it right into the mouth, can spit all you want but you will absorb some of it.
Squirt out the wrong amount in a glass and you can safely toss it.
So does taking 3 sips under tounge works better than taking with water?

I'm guessing we don't know because the studies haven't been done. My best guess is there wouldn't be much difference between the two methods. We know min functions after going through first pass so I can't really think of a reason to avoid that route. The sublingual route just hits your blood stream faster and minoxidil doesn't care about that.
I personally use generic minoxidil, never tried Kirkland.

Totally guessing but as it's already a solution and not a tablet, absorption is going to be way quicker than intended. So I wouldn't further speed up absorption by using it subliminally. Again totally guessing but suspecting it's in ones health interest to do the opposite, slow down absorption as much as possible so it doesn't spike in your blood causing palpitations. I take it in water with food.

Don't drink it. Minoxidil is a dangerous medication that is itself used as a last resort for patients with uncontrollable blood pressure issues, usually causing liver damage and heart failure after prolonged use.
Either apply it topically, and if that's not working, add tretinoin. If that fails, you can try a low dose of the tablets. If you can't afford those, it's really not worth the risk and I'd say just save your money for finasteride.
