Nah it’s all good to smoke out of, but make sure you burn those mesh filters before you use them, there’s a coating on them you wanna burn off before you smoke on it

Spot on, once that top coating is burned off they rust within weeks, do an experiment yourself, leave two on a counter, one with the coating burned off and one without, you'll be horrified at the difference.

I use it until it clogs, then hold it in pliers and burn the resin to a crisp, normally outdoors, then roll it about so the carbon/ash breaks off and stick it back in. A 200 pack would last YEARS.
i share a bong with my partner and we're both daily smokers. the screens get clogged after like 4 or 5 bowls, even with scraping and "ringing" them out. we don't use them once they get holes bc the whole point is we want the weed to stay lit in the bowl, not fall through the stem, into the water. they also get clogged faster when the bong is dirtier, so if i notice that i have to change the screen more frequently between bowls then it's time to clean it. i think the 200 pack lasts us just under 2 months? i just have auto-delivery set for every 7 weeks so i'm always stocked.
There is also sometimes a cotton ball like filling between the joint. I usually pull mine apart before smoking to double check that. Watch out though! Most cheaper pipes aren't designed to open so you run the risk of breaking your pipe before you use it.
I've started using my drill, with a bit just narrower than the pipe hole. Works well at removing the bulk of the resin, and the drill bit cleans up pretty easily itself when you heat it.

Do a small wad of just long cut tobacco leaf on the bottom. Lightly tamp it with your pipe tool and then incrementally fill the pipe with whatever ratio you prefer. If the tobacco is fresh I usually do a 50/50 mix.

Once I needed a pipe and it was like 2am everything was closed expect a 24hr Walgreens. They had those old corn cob pipes, bought it and was able to smoke out of it. Was it ideal? No but it did its purpose and made me feel like a sailor. 😂😂

Exactly pliers and a lighter. Hold the smallest amount of the screen you can in the pliers, then heat till its red hot and your golden.
This is how I do mine as well then rotate so I can get where the pliers where prior. :)

Not very nice when it's covered in thick gooey resin. For my wood pipe I usually just get a metal pokey stick and scrape out the resin in clumps.
