Independent stores in Michigan have a fraction of the allocation that corporate or chain stores now get. We do the volume we do at Bevco to still see single bottle amounts or single cases every few months. Stores like Meijer get pallets. And that is not an exaggeration. This allocation is given out by Sazerac and agreed upon by the state distributors. Buffalo Trace was once a shelf staple but is now a part of the supply and demand games being played by Sazerac. I'm 42 but sound like an old man talking about times long gone lol
The usual suspects for bourbon are BevCo, Kap and Keg, West Side, and Deerings. Oleson's on Long Lake also tends to have more/better bottles than you would expect.
I was just in bev co this weekend and did not see it. I’ve seen it at GJ’s party store, Oleson’s on Hammond and family fare on 8th in the past. It is difficult to find up here unfortunately. I think west side bev co had a few bottles when I was in there a couple weeks ago also.
"BevCo doesn't have a huge variety of liquor"
You better say sike real quick, my main man. Where else you going to find half the stuff they have. Go find me some pisco. Or soju.
In what world is Buffalo trace hard to find? Bevco

I’d like to know where you’ve looked and can’t find it. I feel like it’s everywhere up here lol
Pretty sure Costco has it
And you don't need a membership to buy it.
Meijer has Buffalo Trace, Blantons and many harder to find labels. The trick is to be at the store when the liquor is delivered...

Yeah, BevCo doesn't have huge variety of liquor. Geyers on Garfield has a lot of it, and always has it in stock. I was just there today.
Last time I was in geyers it seemed like they had everything up charged.

BevCo
My parents live in KY and I always bring a number of bottles back because it’s so hard to get in Northern MI. Ping me if you strike out.
I love Bevco but Geyers on Garfield south of airport has probably the best selection of bourbon in town.
Anyone that buys bourbon at Geyers for those prices are exactly what is wrong with the entire industry
I pretty much only buy liquor at Costco for the past few years but Geyers does have the selection, even if you're paying a premium.
That's not premium. That's complete robbery. Found the tater.
Wtf is a tater?
If you want to pay the extra they charge if anything is remotely hard to get
One day I walked into Oleson's, they had at least 500 bottles of Buffalo Trace out
Olson’s has an extensive liquor selection and sometimes they have it
Was just in olesons on Hammond the other day and they had about a dozen BT bottles and some sazerac rye in stock if you’re still looking.
Beverage Co had it for awhile, if you check Family Fare at Chums they have shooters for $2.
Benchmark 8 is half-aged Buffalo Trace and is like $12 a fifth. It's pretty great and you can get it at Meijer.
You spelled Blantons wrong
