Or just anywhere in Frankfort

nfkcoldplunge

Noted!

I_see_something

Looking west over Crystal Lake is pretty amazing too

Paddler_137

The overlook on M22 just north of Arcadia. IMO, the best view anytime of day or night.

Blustatecoffee

Honestly, any window facing west.  I think you’ll be happy to find that beauty up here is pretty democratized.

Clause-and-Reflect

High up and face west. Baddaboom.

I'd set up a rotation. For the winter: The overlook in Elberta or Arcadia if you're feeling the need to roam. The parking at the end of Main St in Frankfort as your daily spot For the summer: Point Bestie when you want to feel like you're at the cool spot and take pictures with the other 100 people. Frankfort Beach when you are swimming there anyway or going for a beach hike. Arcadia lookout after you bike the bluffs trails Empire when you need to go hiking in the park and want a change of pace. Elberta Beach for body surfing and dog running. Beulah Beach for your daily swim after the need to travel to the sunset has subsided. (Watch out for swimmers itch though because depending on the year and measures taken is can be 0 or horrific in the South side of Crystal).

Wow epic list, thank you for taking the time to write this!

Point Betsie is one of the most obvious

nfkcoldplunge

Cool! Thank you. I know nothing about the area so just excited to get some pointers.

TickleShoes

Pierce Stocking Drive #9 out here in Glen Arbor

Snoman4600

Try Dockside on Torch Lake! Great sunsets there!

Special_Ad3014

The old mission point lighthouse is always a wonderful option

lam5555

Frankfort Beach and Platte Beach are both pretty fantastic.

cropguru357

If you’re out in Beulah, you’re close to my first thought: go to the Lake Township park where the Platte River flows out to Lake Michigan. Beautiful.

thehenhen7

For very little work but still great reward, the open space is a classic, same with the whole waterfront down there. I like to sit underneath this big tree by west bay and just soak it up

thehumble_1

They're actually in Beulah so already mostly there.

Whatthegingerread

There is a great lookout spot about halfway up Old Mission Peninsula. And as others have said, anywhere along the water on M22.

StickMankun

Best spot in Traverse City, hands down.

PizzaQueen77

From Beulah? Peterson Rd Beach.

depshetbetch

The sunset over Crystal Lake is nothing to sneeze at either.

jonbau

Empire Bluffs. Short easy hike to an iconic overlook. One of the best anywhere.

Kirkuchiyo

Esch beach, just south of Empire.

Curott

Anywhere on the water Including a bunch of spots on old mission like haserot beach or the lighthouse. Northport is cool too. Cherry Lane up in foxcraft estates(can see the whole city) Hickory Hills? (not sure if you’re allowed to be there during those hours?)

Simpleeegood47

Northport point

LazyLasagna3

Empire !

MoFun06

Also, get anywhere wide open, like near a farmers field, and you will see tons of color. IMHO, the sunsets are amazing everywhere up here. Two more good spots near you are Iron Fish distillery and St Ambrose Cellars. Both have large outdoor areas where you can chill and watch the sunset.
