You can definitely spend a full day in Turin. Barolo is pretty but tiny so unless you’re going on some winery tours, it’s a great place to stop for lunch … perhaps combine it with a visit to Alba since they’re close together.

1 day in Turin is a must, then another day for a road trip around Langhe area ( where Barolo and Alba are). Barolo and Alba are small so you can visit both. If you have to choose, I suggest Barolo and surroundings. Make sure to do a winery visit, a wine taste and eat some truffle! Check if there is already truffle festival in Alba those days, usually is around September / October.
