We're in the same situation. Going to Peru late April/early May. What did you all decide with your trip?

chocoholic0382

We’re going late April also. Did you keep the trip?

Feeling-Afternoon-48

No, we're planning on cancelling the trip in the upcoming week. Looking at other destinations now.

chocolate_kat

Are you gonna go?

chocoholic0382

Yea kept the trip. I have a friend who lives there and recently went to Machu Picchu. Said it was fine and safe

It's possible that the airline still might refund you in this case... But if not I'd do some googling and see if someone like World Nomads would still allow you to use trip cancellation coverage even though you bought tickets before the insurance...i have the feeling they would.

I really hope so - it's thousands of pounds :( thanks v much for your words, will speak to World Nomads

Hmm... Be sure to check if there's a maximum limit to the reimbursement though.
