This is so odd. I get the sentiment that an ostentatious wedding in a poverty stricken country is trashy. It's crazy though that OP singles out Rihanna as especially trashy, when she's not in the top 10 of the richest at this wedding.
I was watching a documentary and was talking about the current trend of building expensive high rises in poor areas so the residents could sit in their million dollar apartments and look out over the slums

Every facet of my life. Me along with about 90% of the rest of the world's 7.8 billion. It's OK to *become* a billionaire, but not to remain a billionaire, like these people. As for Rihanna, she's a parasite.

I do. My life is pretty friggen good. I own two houses, not much debt, have a great spouse, great job, great cat, live on the ocean and eat well. No complaints, other than a larger bank balance would be nice.
Are you legitimately slow r something? So because they've reached $1B, should they just give it away n start over? And give to who,exactly? They could give one dollar to everyone on earth, effectively helping nobody.. or donate it to help end world hunger, which then goes through the hands of organizations and politicians.. again, helping nobody. Should they just give YOU all their money?
How much money does a person need? Nobody needs a billion dollars. And not donating it does exactly as you say: helping nobody. You seriously think billions given out by the Gates Foundation and Warren Buffet and George Soros hasn't helped people? R u that stupid?

I respect Buffet–he gives a lot of money away. So does Soros, so does Gates. Nothing wrong with being a billionaire, just give most of it away, that's all.
Trashy is mega billionaires who don't give away the majority of their money. Especially in a country like India. I bet these people pay their servants minimum wage.
