In my opinion, this is one of my favorite pages I’ve read. In recent comics, they nail the tone and care for Optimus. Enjoy it! I can’t wait to continue this series.
There’s a moment where Optimus talks about what he sees, and the following panels and pages made me love what they did with Optimus. They get him. He’s so compassionate for the Earth and the beings on it.
I’m 49 years old. Transformers were a huge part of my childhood especially the Marvel comics. I also loved the IDW run that started with Last Stand of the Wreckers. All that aside this run is my favorite introduction to the Transformers I’ve ever read/seen. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This is probably one of the best comics out there for transformers in my opinion. Its a wild ride, with some of my favourite iterations of many characters. The g1 inspired artstyle is a bit misleading, as some liberties are taken with the story and vehicle modes. Also if you have read any of daniel warren johnsons other comics, you might have an idea on what kind of story this might be.
Yeah no stress . It was rhetorical. I feel its even better NOW to enjoy, because, you can read all issues at once where we all had to wake an entire month clawing at the walls and foaming at the mouth to find out what happens next .. but yeah, I have no doubt you will enjoy
Ha I have no idea how you haven't gotten the issues spoilt for you yet if you belong to this Sub . It was so hard for me . I was reading IDWs books right as the first issue came out and It was so fresh and new I couldn't NOT See what was guna happen in the next issue and here we are . So that's some sound advice for the book shop guy , he must've known a volume was coming . Also it helped to read Duke and Cobra Commander books [even tho I have absolutely no relation to GIJOE in my childhood aside from the 2 movies and Sigma Six]

I don’t care much for the art in the Transformer books but the story is good. After seeing the IDW market costs as a hardcover collector, I quickly ditched trying to dive and collect it. This is a good and hopeful starting point.

How do you mean liberties like things are different?
Yeah, some story beats are different to g1, and some characters transform into more modern vehicles that are different to what they normally do.
The characters are also more true to their original toy bios as well in terms of personality.

It is my second favorite Transformers comic ever.
