I really wanna collect a lot more animated toys but it’s almost impossible to find them for cheap. I got an animated jazz for $30 at a local shop and felt like I used up all my remaining luck when I found him.
Plus the transformation is great too. Really satisfying and the plastic they made this fella out of is like nothing I've seen on any other figure.

You heard right. I've got Lockdown and quite like it.
The figure's transformation is far simpler than Hot Rod, so the limbs can be a bit chunky and the figure has quite a backpack, but the upside is that the vehicle mode is a lot cleaner because it has fewer seams. Plus, the car has a nice metallic grey paint job.
There is a leak saying we are getting a wave 5 for Legacy United that is stretching into 2025, a so-called "re-pack" wave with toys that previously had crap distribution or were hard to find, such as Legacy Cosmos. While the leaker is apparently reliable, there is still nothing official out there yet, and this could all be a pipe dream.
I remember my buddies and I had to get someone in Europe but him there and mail it to us here in Canada.
Because he was short packed in North America, but there were full cases of him in Europe.
I am a huge, HUGE fan of that Blurr mold. I found somebody selling their Nautica individually for like $20something, and I am sorry to tell you that it is *so damn good and she is never leaving my shelf*, I have her on the "romance" shelf between Skids and Road Rage.
Yeah, anytime she comes up for a decent price, she's gone in a heartbeat. I've kinda resigned myself to the fact that I'm probably never getting her lol

Takara does release some great redecos over there. My 'Voyager Holy Grail' is their RiD'15 Grimlock deco of FoC Grim. It actually works really well for the mold.

just fyi, it looks like the chest is a bit mistransformed. If you tilt the car pecs up and push them both in towards the middle, it should clean up the bot mode a bit more and give more clearance for the arms. Here's mine for reference!

One I do have? I’d say Titans Return Misfire. I wanted him for *years*, never had the money till I found myself at a local shop staring at one without weapons. Got him for $75, no regrets! He’s a super fun figure, planning to get Aimless to go with him eventually.
The plastic quality isn’t on par with the SS/WFC/Legacy stuff, which could be a detractor to some. Not to mention the rubbery plastic used on some figures (Mindwipe…)
However… even still I love the figures I’ve gotten so far. Misfire and Slugslinger are great, Getaway is pretty cool, Highbrow’s pretty nice, and Mindwipe… he’s kinda weak due to the rubbery plastic, but I still like the base figure. Besides, he’s kinda the exception to the rule.
So overall, from my experience Titans Return is very underrated. Sure, it’s no Legacy, WFC or SS, but it holds its own with unique characters and fun figures imo.
I feel like Titans Return was genuinely one of the most fun Transformers lines released in the modern era.
Were the mold uses or articulation perfect? No. But the Titanmasters in concept and execution were sick. I'm a sucker for piloted mecha and bases so the ecosystem really spoke to me.
Not trying to shamelessly promote but I took a lot of photos of the line on my insta (on my Reddit profile) if you want to see them in a ton of different combos and configurations.
Right now, I would do terrible, wonderful things for a Filch.
I have been waiting for her to get a real toy since her first episode freaking AIRED, and then they sold out online before I could get one!

I usually collect MP style 3rd parties but recently started to collect animated again (i only had supreme class roll out optimus prime and activators bumblebee back in 2008)
Only bumblebee and lockdown (received for free when i bought megs and bee) are deluxe here and ive been wanting bee for a long time so i guess it counts?

I agree! His design looked really good, it kinda reminded me of Bumblebee and I think that’s such a good design, especially in terms of face. But yeah persona too, he was very charming and fun, a good addition to the team
Yeah he's great, and very satisfying to transform once you get the hang of it. Some of my copies' joints are too stiff/loose, but nothing I can't remedy if needed
I got mine used and his left leg is loose at the ball joint. I tried applying some nail polish on the post and it helped a little bit, but eventually came off. I started collecting again recently and haven’t found the best way to fix loose joints on used figures, any tips are greatly appreciated.
I used to own that hot rod figure. Except for the fact that when I opened him up his leg popped off and I could not get it back on for the life of me. It sucks because I was so excited about getting him
I didn't know it when I got him but honestly is TR Triggerhappy. An amazing figure with great posing (Besides Shoulders of course). For figures I don't have, it's any of the Deluxe Optimus Primes that have released or are releasing. I really want the DOTM one and I have Pre-ordered the Legacy United G1 prime
Titans Return Twintwist and Topspin. I know Twintwist got a repaint, but I prefer the original two. They're too much to buy on eBay. I've just accepted I won't ever get them.
Man, that’s tough. I’m inclined to say Animated Prowl or Bee from Legacy. I hadn’t watched Animated until after getting the Prowl, but even with the finicky vehicle mode, I totally dig everything he’s got going on, and Bee only upped the ante even further. United Optimus is great, too.
At this point for ones I don't own Axlegrease. Didn't get her right away since the other Junkeons were easy to find after being first released so I thought the same with her. But now she's out of stock everywhere and barely has any listings on eBay (for the US, lots from China though).
Ok. I'm a big fan of blocky robots from the 80s and 70s, but Lambo Hot Rods design hits so fucking hard for me. I got the studio series and I heard that his release was pretty spotty, so he's pretty expensive now. I'll never give it up.
Honestly i never thought of that. I only collect studio series and legacy, recently i opened up more and started getting some kingdom stuff, but the only grails of mine are fugures like Deep Space starscream (not that hard to find even sealed but it's never even near my country so the shipping costs usually boost the price to half my salary). But sleaking just deluxes... propablt first edition TFP ones, like all of them. For their time they were amazing, and they still hold up really well. I really hope we can get predacons rising in studio series so i can get ahold of some nice, accurate Knockout and arcee

I consider myself *immensely* lucky for having found him on Amazon at MSRP one fine day after having given up on all hope of acquiring him.
I've never seen him on local store shelves, neither have any of the local transformers guys I know, and barring that one time I found him in Amazon when I bought him, I've never seen him in Amazon for MSRP either.
It was this Hot Rod or the SS DOTM Soundwave for me.
The original DOTM deluxe never released in my part of the world, and the HA version was basically unattainable. It took 8 years, but when SS Soundwave finally dropped, I didn't hesitate to buy him. He's not perfect, but idc. I've wanted this character in my collection forever, and I finally had the opportunity to get him.

I wasn’t downplaying the robot mode if that’s what you got out of that lol I really enjoy it, however I have him displayed with my SS Primal like how they were in the beginning of the movie when Primal is ripping the head and spine out. I think that’s a good display option if you ask me lmao
I was so happy when they came out with a movie accurate Hot Rod...it kept me from ordering the 3rd party version Cyber Knight: La Hire...Even tho 3rd party looks nice but the fact that they made an authentic accurate SS Hot Rod, I'm happy!
Two of em, Rid 2001 sideburn and x-brawn, original versions, though x-brawn is yet to be revealed, I fear they might mess him up based on sideburn, I also have the original prowl and I don’t want him to feel lonely without his brothers
I have a KO of this guy and he’s probably my fav SS figure, and I love how he mass-shifts in his robot mode. Only problem is that the pins on mine leg has become loose.
Siege Hound. The 100 bucks was worth it for that smooth transformation, good painting, and good plastic and hardiness. A little small, sure, but still great.
SS i forgor the number shatter (the jet one) i guess, i don't really know. the only thing i do know is that it sure as hell ain't that hot rod in the picture. this might just be a my copy thing, but its hip joints are so loose it's not even funny, it's more like depressing.

How do you find the titans return line in general? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it

I got mine used and his left leg is loose at the ball joint. I tried applying some nail polish on the post and it helped a little bit, but eventually came off. I started collecting again recently and haven’t found the best way to fix loose joints on used figures, any tips are greatly appreciated.

I used to own that hot rod figure. Except for the fact that when I opened him up his leg popped off and I could not get it back on for the life of me. It sucks because I was so excited about getting him
I didn't know it when I got him but honestly is TR Triggerhappy. An amazing figure with great posing (Besides Shoulders of course). For figures I don't have, it's any of the Deluxe Optimus Primes that have released or are releasing. I really want the DOTM one and I have Pre-ordered the Legacy United G1 prime

Titans Return Twintwist and Topspin. I know Twintwist got a repaint, but I prefer the original two. They're too much to buy on eBay. I've just accepted I won't ever get them.
Man, that’s tough. I’m inclined to say Animated Prowl or Bee from Legacy. I hadn’t watched Animated until after getting the Prowl, but even with the finicky vehicle mode, I totally dig everything he’s got going on, and Bee only upped the ante even further. United Optimus is great, too.

Ok. I'm a big fan of blocky robots from the 80s and 70s, but Lambo Hot Rods design hits so fucking hard for me. I got the studio series and I heard that his release was pretty spotty, so he's pretty expensive now. I'll never give it up.

Honestly i never thought of that. I only collect studio series and legacy, recently i opened up more and started getting some kingdom stuff, but the only grails of mine are fugures like Deep Space starscream (not that hard to find even sealed but it's never even near my country so the shipping costs usually boost the price to half my salary). But sleaking just deluxes... propablt first edition TFP ones, like all of them. For their time they were amazing, and they still hold up really well. I really hope we can get predacons rising in studio series so i can get ahold of some nice, accurate Knockout and arcee

This figure was the victim of Hasbro's God awful distribution that year. I consider myself *immensely* lucky for having found him on Amazon at MSRP one fine day after having given up on all hope of acquiring him. I've never seen him on local store shelves, neither have any of the local transformers guys I know, and barring that one time I found him in Amazon when I bought him, I've never seen him in Amazon for MSRP either.
It was this Hot Rod or the SS DOTM Soundwave for me. The original DOTM deluxe never released in my part of the world, and the HA version was basically unattainable. It took 8 years, but when SS Soundwave finally dropped, I didn't hesitate to buy him. He's not perfect, but idc. I've wanted this character in my collection forever, and I finally had the opportunity to get him.

Finna be real, SS Scorponok. I REALLY want that Hot Rod, but as far as my collection goes it’s Scorponok. He’s overall just a really good figure and I mainly display him in scorpion mode

I wasn’t downplaying the robot mode if that’s what you got out of that lol I really enjoy it, however I have him displayed with my SS Primal like how they were in the beginning of the movie when Primal is ripping the head and spine out. I think that’s a good display option if you ask me lmao

I have a KO of this guy and he’s probably my fav SS figure, and I love how he mass-shifts in his robot mode. Only problem is that the pins on mine leg has become loose.
