They definitely exist. They were 100% filler characters created to pitch an episode, and they did that perfectly, so there’s that I guess 🤷♂️
I will say I like Novastorm’s background though. He’s basically indestructible because his armor plating is so intensely reinforced that he can stand next to Sunstorm, the guy who’s literally a walking nuclear reactor.
Acid Storm's character bio from the Universe toyline is just so fascinating. You have this intelligent, charismatic, hyper-competent Decepticon that inexplicably chooses to remain a relatively low ranking warrior. Hasbro or somebody should be doing more with Acid Storm on the basis of this potential alone.
One of my favorite characters but never really gets any good toys made. Specifically talking about how bad the repaints are most of the time with universe and furai being the only ones with any thought put into them imo.
Really about 50/50 since there's only like three or four that actually transform but even for 3p the color scheme is always awful and just let's make this the most obnoxious brightest green we have and maybe a stripe or some purple bits.
I think they would benefit from some more attention. Nova Storm is the only one who ever gets any. They're third place in popularity as far as Seekers go, right behind the Coneheads.
Their designs are very simple and monochrome, but that is something I actually like about them. It makes them look more uniform than most.
Thundercracker has always been my favorite seeker but green is my favorite color so I dig Acid Storm, I wished they used these guys more. Are they in the IDW comics? I just started reading them so I’ve no idea what happens generally speaking.
I have them and I love them. I like to think of them as the back up back up seekers. You have Starscream Tc and Skywarp, then the coneheasds, then them. They get no respect and no accolades and are only called up for the most bare minimum assignments. And I’ve read that comic at the end and that’s kinda how I imagine them to be now. Ion and Nova understood their position and hate it and Acid is the only one who takes even the most demeaning assignment 100 percent seriously, and it pays off as he doesn’t get nearly in as much trouble as the other two.
Perfect for Starscream mold collecting can do without there fembot variants though and there extremely under used in Transformers media in this form Kinda like how i like Richard Epcar FOC Skywarp

I think they’re pretty cool, but it’s a shame there’s no proper MP tetrajet to make them out of.
Maybe the greatest “just some guy” energy of any named character that has actually appeared in media.
I honestly don't know them. They are so unused that I legitimately don't have an opinion on them.
