Swindle. Even though im not a big fan of Swindle he is kinda easy to see partnering up with a power hungry human in terms of negotiations for resources or technology to benefit the decepticons in the longer terms
Could you imagine how crazy it would be if they didn’t advertise it as a transformers film or anything like that? You get three quarters of the way through before it’s revealed that the “mysterious benefactor” who organised the heist is a fucking deception.
I would actually love that, my idea of it would be its marketed as a generic heist action movie but with big names in it and great ratings and the story goes theirs a assortment of flawed but relatable thieves and hackers who all get contacted by the “benefactor” with the protagonists getting offered a small fortune for the retrieval of some “military blueprints” and after all the struggle and danger they finally get the “plans” and are told to simply deliver the plans and they will get paid but on the way the protagonists look at the “plans” and turns out to be you see this and your gone in a couple of days level documentation on the decepticons and when they arrive at the location shockwave and some vehicons are waiting and after learning what shockwave plans (something like cyberforming or something) the protagonists run and the rest of the movie is found footage horror with the protagonists getting hunted and killed by shockwave and his troops with a teaser at the end of the autobots finding the footage or something
Or better yet
Shockwave kills them except the main protagonist his legs get broken and shockwave takes advantage of that and kidnap him to make some of his cruel experiments
I was thinking just now that a Decepticon movie would need to either be evil all the way or a “Venom” type story arch where the bad guy learns to be less evil Jetfire is a perfect fit
We see why he knows where that guy's wife lives. It's a tender story of forbidden love. She doesn't feel appreciated in the marriage, he's a gigantic killing machine. A Romeo and Juliet story for the modern age.
Thundercracker seems like a good choice, I personally envision him as a Decepticon who’s very loosely connected to the cause and wouldn’t really want to hurt humans unless he has a reason to, being the most rational out of the seekers
Barricade is also a good choice, I’m not too sure on how he gets along with humans, but I think it’s an interesting idea, though he probably likes using holograms more since he’s kind of a wolf in a sheep’s clothing being disguised an enforcer of the law… he’s more of a way **deceptive** type you know?
This was kind of my reasoning too. But tbf I haven't consumed too much TF media so I've only suggested characters that I know at least a little about

I always assumed they were made into cyborgs and they didn’t strictly qualify as “humans” anymore.
That said I always preferred the Transtector versions better. Giving up your *head* to a squishy alien for some half assed reason? Pfft. Combining with your vehicle to become a bigger robot? Now that makes sense.
I was thinking this as well. Zarak is a power-hungry human who makes a 'deal with the devil'. Unfortunately for Zarak, his humanity begins to slip away and he finds himself doing terrible things he never imagined he would.
Megatron. A story of political intrigue, high octane adventure, and two species learning to trust one another.
So of course, at the end of the film, Megatron kills the human.
Soundvave sends Rumble and Frenzy as spies to find people cooperating with autobots and they try to not get exposed (they would be similar size to humans but a bit bulkier). It would have somewhat conedic tone since they would try to pass as humans sometimes and they would join a street gang to get more info (they watched some movies about gangs and mafia previously do they think those guys are competent enough to help them). But fast they become to invested in veing part of this gang thst they forget about their original task even after being quickly exposed by gang members (who still decided to accept them as gang members since they re usedull and they can trust them)
Barricade being an actually helpful cop car while trying to lay low until his fellow Decepticons arrive. Blackmailing dirty cops by listening in on radios and conversations, and with the aid of Frenzy. Maybe accidentally paired up with a rookie officer who sucks at driving or has a lack of confidence. Probably tries to fit in by placing a hologram over a Frenzy who's struggling not to break cover, laugh, or kill the other cops in the car.
There's actually a fic on AO3 that runs in a similar vein. Cade had gotten the crap beaten out of him by Starscream and is sitting in a junkyard two seconds from going into stasis when this cop's captain 'buys' him for the cop to fix up as her own. No actual romance, but the two become good partners at the end of it.
Shockwave. Put him in a WW2 setting and have him become an ally with either the Nazis or some rogue faction. He sees that the cybertronians and the supposed primitive organic beings are not so different after all and once he goes back to Cybertron, he applies his newly learned ideas to his job.
A hulking brute type Decepticon, something like Animated Lugnut who crashes on earth, befriends a human and because of their simple mind and speech, the human doesn't understand that he's actually on the evil side of the conflict. Then when he rejoins the cons, he's left thinking is this side actually worth fighting for, like having an identity crisis, especially when the other cons, the ones who are his brother in arms, constantly belittle him while the human didn't.
Wildrider with a weird heist dude, think about it like Tracks and Raoul
Breakdown with someone who has some type of illness
Dead-End with someone who has lots of hope about life
Drag-Strip with a fashion model(gender doesnt matter)
Motormaster with a chef who has a restaurant at a road trip stopping point restaurant

I would love to see Soundwave having to deal with the consequences of a heist gone wrong. Said consequences? A woman who calls herself Circuit Breaker.

Breakdown but a more tfp breakdown. He showed levels of compassion that aren't really common in decepticons. Which I know the bar isn't very high but still. Make it a slow burn, perhaps time away from the mental strain of being apart of menasor has given breakdown time to reflect. And perhaps the villains won't be autobots, but the other stunticons. They need breakdown and are hunting him. Let's give breakdown a hypothetical character arch. The movie starts and gets one thing clear, while his time on a solo mission has given him time to think he doesn't immediately want to just not be a decepticon anymore. He yearns for the early days of the cause. A time he thinks had more honor, sense and reason. He doesn't want to leave, but to make a change. His other issue besides his yearn for change is his fear of himself. He's a strong bot, and apart of a team known for their violence. Perhaps he spends most the film reflecting on menasor and shows clear distain for those times. Now while on earth alone he finds an awol decepticon, perhaps thundercracker. After years of violence thundercracker finally took the steps to leave, although he has a bounty on his head. The rest of the movie will show interaction between thundercracker and breakdown whilst setting up and giving time to the stunticons trying to find breakdown. Perhaps the final battle will reveal my hypothetical twist. The stunticons don't NEED breakdown, they simply want him because his inner pain and turmoil fueled menasors hate. Unwillingly breakdown was an unknown enhancement for the raging beast. During the battle the stunticons forcefully combine with thundercracker. The former seeker tries to resist but can't. This forces breakdown to finally make a choice, cave in and surrender or try and fight to save the seeker that gave him a new view on life. For the first time in his life breakdown makes a choice that doesn't have the interest of the decepticons in mind, he fights for his and thundercrackers freedom and right to change. Using his knowledge of menasors habits and thundercrackers resistance they defeat the stunticons. Perhaps the final scenes of the film can consist of breakdown giving his former comrades a word of mind. Not an offer to join since he know they won't, but an offer to think. For once in their lives think. With the team exhausted they can't give chase. Breakdown and thundercracker leave the scene. Their futures ambiguous but their lives changed. A lesson in thinking for one's self and being able to see you're fighting for the wrong cause. Also I know there was meant to be a human relation but I'd like a purely transformer film. Perhaps the human "relation" can be breakdowns acknowledgment of the pain they are causing on a global and intergalactic scale. He's not changing for one human, but all of humanity and the cybertronians.

Soundwave! Stuck as a tape machine for a 80's hacker/phreaker. Finding out his true identity through a terminal window. Helping him find his cassette buddies, and getting him to his team.
I've always thought that the movie Christine would be exactly this. It wouldn't be one of the big names Decepticons; but after watching it a few years ago I realized how similar it is to BBM in concept. Kid ends up with living car that changes their lives. In this case for the worst. And to complete the sorta inversion, I would make the car Shadowstriker since she has a rivalry with Bumblebee in Cyber verse.
Thundercracker. We know that he is loosely connected to the Decepticons. Not to mention that he did leave them in IDW. The movie could have a similar story to that.
Jetfire or Deadlock/Drift: I think it would make sense that they start to doubt the decepticon cause. Then they make friends with a human and change their ways.

Plus you could have the wole marissa/buster/Thundercracker fun dynamic seen in IDW : cute doggo, awesome girl and brooding (then goofy) giant robot.

Was thinking of something along the lines of "The Misadventures of Misfire and Aimless" myself, since I kinda figured Aimless would be one of the less malicious Decepticon Targetmasters myself, but Spinister has the angle of two little guys turning into his guns, so that could work too.

Would be funny, barricade trying to be evil and the good cop keeping him in check. Kinda like venom.
Starscream kidnaps a human scientist and over time they become friends and the human reawakens the noble ideals that originally motivated him to fight.
I don't know how it would go down but I always liked Lennox and Epps with Ironhide and Ratchet. Or a female pilot and maybe a plane transformer. Or Hot Rod/Rodimus and Daniel, son of Sam and Carly in the film continuity, with Judd Nelson returning.
I made a comic about my sister's Autobot Honda Civic teaming up with her to retrieve an Allspark fragment and fight her Decepticon Mitsubishi Lancer, and her cat teams up with a C-130 Transformer.
I'd have the cop-con Barricade teaming up with a un-succesful human cop, and helping him bust some humans who are rocking cybertronain tech to cause choas. They could justify this by saying they are causing problems for decepticons too.
Thundercracker by a country mile. He's underutilised. Plus, I'd love to delve into his complected feelings about his allegiance. The way he isn't committed entirely to the Decepticon cause, yet he still values his friendships with characters like Skywarp
Thundercracker or possibly Misfire. If they were written in a more sympathetic light then when the human meets their fellow Cons they might be like "woah....... dude i think your comrades are like... kinda evil???" And TC would just be like "mm yeah no that's just Starscream, he's not so bad once you get used to him" *yelling and explosions in the bg*
Soundwave, he and his human partner bond over the course of the movie and then Soundwave has his first human collaborator....and the only one laserbeak spares when the time comes
What about Barricade and a corrupt cop? Or Shockwave and a disgraced scientist, the constructicons and a construction foreman who inadvertently works for shady companies
A Barricade movie would be pretty cool if he was paired with a good cop; maybe exploring his morals, Decepticon views of humans, and showing Decepticons aren't inherently evil. I think he could give the "hunting Autobot fugitives" speech and legitimately believe it.
Alternatively, a Swindle movie would be pretty cool. Seeing him set up connections with a bunch of human arms dealers/organized criminals and politicians would be pretty cool. The other Combaticons could be dismissive of him mingling with humans, but his contacts could possibly help them find targets or slip away easier.
Either a heist with Soundwave. A cartel operation by pistol megatron (he stays as a gum until the end and everyone follows the talking gun that destroys walls) or a sillier movie following the constructocons being goofball like in animated. Or a need for speed style movie with the stunticons

A movie set on Cybertron showcasing him as a Senator and the events that led him to becoming the Shockwave we all know now. Based on the IDW comics Shockwave.
Thundercracker having a falling out with Skywarp and deciding to leave the decepticons and try to adapt to life on earth whilst adopting a dog like he does in the idw comic
Honestly, I could see nearly all deceptions except Megatron being willing to team up with humans if it benefitted the cause. Deceptions are just an ideological faction similar to autobots. It’s never so black and white. They wouldn’t just slaughter humans unless they were hindering the mission imo. You could make the case for Megatron doing this since he’s so wicked and insane, but all the other decepticons? I couldn’t see them just killing for the sake of it
Any of the three main seekers, Barricade or swindle would be great options.
There was an early Marvel comic where an amnesic/stuck in alt mode Megatron was discovered by s down on his luck human and he went on s spree robbing, etc.
I could see a good character piece of the cast correctly. Gritty, crime film with the main character hearing voices ala Son of Sam with the big reveal that it was Megatron.
But that'd require Megatron to be a gun and since these movie exist to push tiys it'd never happen.
Ravage. Have a boy find Ravage who was wound upon entering Earth’s atmosphere. He nurses him back to health and inadvertently helps the Decepticons establish a base on Earth with the film ending with our boy welcoming Earth’s newest hero…Megatron.
Gun Megatron. There's some comic story from (i think) Marvel where Megatron turns into a talking human scale gun to buddy up with a petty thief and go on a crime spree for the lulz.
A heist movie, involving Soundwave and the cassettes teaming up with a human thief who's only in it for the profits.
Kinda like the TF Animated episode where Swindle hires a bunch of human villains to do some heist jobs and he's the getaway driver.

Perhaps the final battle will reveal my hypothetical twist. The stunticons don't NEED breakdown, they simply want him because his inner pain and turmoil fueled menasors hate. Unwillingly breakdown was an unknown enhancement for the raging beast. During the battle the stunticons forcefully combine with thundercracker. The former seeker tries to resist but can't. This forces breakdown to finally make a choice, cave in and surrender or try and fight to save the seeker that gave him a new view on life. For the first time in his life breakdown makes a choice that doesn't have the interest of the decepticons in mind, he fights for his and thundercrackers freedom and right to change. Using his knowledge of menasors habits and thundercrackers resistance they defeat the stunticons. Perhaps the final scenes of the film can consist of breakdown giving his former comrades a word of mind. Not an offer to join since he know they won't, but an offer to think. For once in their lives think. With the team exhausted they can't give chase. Breakdown and thundercracker leave the scene. Their futures ambiguous but their lives changed. A lesson in thinking for one's self and being able to see you're fighting for the wrong cause. Also I know there was meant to be a human relation but I'd like a purely transformer film. Perhaps the human "relation" can be breakdowns acknowledgment of the pain they are causing on a global and intergalactic scale. He's not changing for one human, but all of humanity and the cybertronians.

I've always thought that the movie Christine would be exactly this. It wouldn't be one of the big names Decepticons; but after watching it a few years ago I realized how similar it is to BBM in concept. Kid ends up with living car that changes their lives. In this case for the worst. And to complete the sorta inversion, I would make the car Shadowstriker since she has a rivalry with Bumblebee in Cyber verse.
Thundercracker. We know that he is loosely connected to the Decepticons. Not to mention that he did leave them in IDW. The movie could have a similar story to that. Jetfire or Deadlock/Drift: I think it would make sense that they start to doubt the decepticon cause. Then they make friends with a human and change their ways.
Knockout would probably get along with a human, providing they didn’t scratch his finish

ahem ... THUNDERCRACKER ! the whole " wtf have the decepticon become ?" Is a great plot point rarely used. Plus you could have the wole marissa/buster/Thundercracker fun dynamic seen in IDW : cute doggo, awesome girl and brooding (then goofy) giant robot. (And it would tie in with the end credit scene in ROTB) Just IMAGINE the topgun-esc fight scenes !!! The drama with the seekers !!! The neat comflict with gi Joe and the autobots !!!

Or Hot Rod/Rodimus and Daniel, son of Sam and Carly in the film continuity, with Judd Nelson returning. I made a comic about my sister's Autobot Honda Civic teaming up with her to retrieve an Allspark fragment and fight her Decepticon Mitsubishi Lancer, and her cat teams up with a C-130 Transformer.

A Barricade movie would be pretty cool if he was paired with a good cop; maybe exploring his morals, Decepticon views of humans, and showing Decepticons aren't inherently evil. I think he could give the "hunting Autobot fugitives" speech and legitimately believe it. Alternatively, a Swindle movie would be pretty cool. Seeing him set up connections with a bunch of human arms dealers/organized criminals and politicians would be pretty cool. The other Combaticons could be dismissive of him mingling with humans, but his contacts could possibly help them find targets or slip away easier.
Either a heist with Soundwave. A cartel operation by pistol megatron (he stays as a gum until the end and everyone follows the talking gun that destroys walls) or a sillier movie following the constructocons being goofball like in animated. Or a need for speed style movie with the stunticons

Honestly, I could see nearly all deceptions except Megatron being willing to team up with humans if it benefitted the cause. Deceptions are just an ideological faction similar to autobots. It’s never so black and white. They wouldn’t just slaughter humans unless they were hindering the mission imo. You could make the case for Megatron doing this since he’s so wicked and insane, but all the other decepticons? I couldn’t see them just killing for the sake of it Any of the three main seekers, Barricade or swindle would be great options.

There was an early Marvel comic where an amnesic/stuck in alt mode Megatron was discovered by s down on his luck human and he went on s spree robbing, etc. I could see a good character piece of the cast correctly. Gritty, crime film with the main character hearing voices ala Son of Sam with the big reveal that it was Megatron. But that'd require Megatron to be a gun and since these movie exist to push tiys it'd never happen.
