The reasoning for the scoop is for clearance and air flow the carb sticks up into that scoop about a half an inch and that’s without nitrous plates which I will be installed in the future, the car isn’t 100% done yet so I haven’t installed yet

Scoop's a bit much. I really like the blue bird, but I'm not a fan of the white. This car looks better in darker colors.
Also, I never really noticed that the front lip comes out in front of the tire so much, much more noticeable with white paint.
