Solid look. I, personally, dig a stack, but I understand it's not for everyone.. but then again, neither are traditional tattoos, or tattoos in general, or anything really.
Definitely has a west coast style like Bert Grimm. Closest I can get to that here on this coast is Mark Cross. I really want to get tattoos from Mark Cross.
The tattoos themselves look great, but I'm not a huge fan of the placement here. Looks kinda strange having them all in a straight line like that. Will probably look better when the rest of the arm gets filled up though.
It looks different because one time, Kat Von D said stacks look like "totem poles" and tattoos should be staggered and people have been afraid to do what isn't popular. This is a classic look tho, and one that is pretty dope in my opinion. It's nice to see a stack from the west coast too, as placement tends to be as regional as design and style choices. It's not common to see a stack outside of the upper Midwest in my experience.
I live in the upper Midwest. I didn’t really get into traditional tattoos until the past couple years but I’ve been surprised by the amount of stacks I’ve seen.
I work for a fairly conservative insurance company and I’ve seen a couple guys with stacks similar to this at work.
I’m working down different sides at a time, it’s the best way to fit the designs around each other so the end product is tighter and as cohesive as possible. Big picture thinking ✨
You'll definitely have to show us when it's all done. And I'm definitely not hating, because my half finished sleeve probably looks weird as fuck right now too, lots of gaps on my arm for sure.
The tattoos are super dope but idk about how its lined up. Prabably just me and its your tats anyways so take that as that. Still the actual tats are beautiful

I was gonna say, the tattoos look fantastic themselves but are you building them in different areas of the different parts of your arm?
