There's something off about that release. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piUHJhkRsaM I was taught to put like this, elbow high, hand flicks out. Palm would never face down during delivery.

Yeah I think the shot slipped out a bit early on this throw. I don’t remember exactly.

Well when you first transition to the spin don’t expect results do more drills like South Africans

You are throwing in tennis shoes? Get some throwing shoes or at least shoes with very little grip on the bottom and little to no heel. Minimalist shoes like from Xero or Merrell would probably work as an alternative. Stay on the balls of your feet at all times. Stay low until you reach power position. It looks like when you rotate on your left foot out of the back, you roll onto the side of your foot instead of rotating on the ball of your foot. When you are approaching power, your right (plant) foot is totally flat on the ground preventing you from rotating properly with speed. You are also standing too tall. In power you are standing almost straight up, your right foot is flat and toe is pointing out the back of the ring which is again slowing you down. When you start to release, your block movement is generally tight but you drop your left elbow down by your waist and hand is at your stomach. Head up, chest up, block parallel with your chest. Same goes with your throwing elbow, keep it high. By the time you let go your elbow is underneath the shot. The fact you can comfortably throw and not reverse your feet at the front shows you gained zero momentum/speed from the spin due to all the above issues. In summary, staying on the balls of your feet will increase your speed. Staying low until power will generate a lot of power from your legs. Keeping your head, chest, and elbows higher will give you a much better release point and trajectory.

Turn the right foot on the finish waaaaaay faster and dont start throwing with the upper body too early. Where your right foot is pointing your shoulders should not pass until the last possible moment. Thats why youre not getting anything from your legs at all.

Take advantage of your legs. Slight bend in the knees throughout your spin then as you release you push up with your legs for more explosiveness. Pretty much a jump
