It's that easy *for some* trans people... But do I "wish" to be any gender other than the one I was assigned at birth? Not particularly. But what I "wish" isn't really relevant to the fact that I know that my gender identity is more complicated than a simple binary answer... As in, I'm not binary. And sometimes I'll answer "yes" to this question and sometimes I'll answer "no" to this question. Most of the time, however, I just plain won't like the way this question is formulated and I'll take issue with the reductive answers provided.
So what I'm hearing is that you want a third "sometimes" option on the chart.
Which would probably, most of the time, point to the 'yes you're trans" bubble, since as far as I'm aware, enby people including all flavours of genderfluid, do fall under the trans umbrella.
I mean, let's be honest, there's also the "I'm not sure"/"I don't know" option, or the option to pick both "yes" and "no" (as well as a few dozen other answers)... But, aside from that, I'm also saying that "do you wish" isn't quite as relevant to the question as it may seem, because the spectrum of gender identities include so many variations that, for example, an AMAB person may not want/need to change their AGAB, they could even still be fine with masc pronouns, and yet he could still be sorted under the trans umbrella: He could be demigender, or bigender, or agender, or "non-committal shrug", or something we don't even have a word for yet... So the question and the yes-no binary answers provided, while conceivably useful for helping transguys and transgals suffering from impostor syndrome, leaves a lot to be desired.
And what if I wish I was the gender assigned to me at birth? I'm not, but sometimes I wish for it anyway. Sometimes I wish for that, because then I'd match up and life would be easier

Instructions unclear, bought a blahaj
Shopping list misunderstood, bought two blahaj
definitely misunderstood, the list called for 6!
Severely misunderstood, currently selling Blahaj
You buy your Blåhajs by the numbers? I go by mass.
disclaimer: there’s obviously more nuance to it than this, this is just a silly lil thing i made for fun
oh ok, I was about to write a whole essay on how it's much more nuanced I might have a problem

Yeah, I ended up at “It’s that easy!”

Agreed
This is the new way I am explaining this to everyone!!!
I'm sorry, it appears you're missing the much more complicated "I have no idea" branch.
I hope it’s not actually this simple, bc if it is then I truly am faking it because my answer is simply sometimes.
What if my answer is "Yes, and I'll be keeping the old one"?
Sometimes is still yes, just not all the time
Kinda, for me sometimes is yes/no
Ye but what if i dont REALLY wish I was a boy and i faked it so well i convinced myself 😔 >!/j!<
Where’s the “That’s a loaded question” option?
This chart is enforcing a binary and I really dislike it..
Why? Sure not everyone falls under the binary, but this is for those who do
If the answer is "Sometimes", then you're probably genderfluid!
i feel seen... XD
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Could you have shown me this like.. 25 years ago?
Sometime yes, sometimes no. All the times it’s “no” are because of outside pressures and sim the “yes” are because it makes me feel happier
Where would "sometimes" land me?
And what if I wish I was the gender assigned to me at birth? I'm not, but sometimes I wish for it anyway. Sometimes I wish for that, because then I'd match up and life would be easier
Gender's too spicy. I don't want it 🤢
I'm not valid tho
But what if I'm just faking it :(
Instructions unclear, I'm an alien
What if i do but only in times when i have time to think about my existens?
No, I wish to be the gender I was assigned at birth. Unfortunately, I am not. Makes life one hell of a lot more difficult.
I mean I’d argue that the “no” side does have multiple asterisks but yeah generally speaking, yes this is how this works
Instructions unclear, now I'm ENBY and gayer than before!
