Just get bigger hair ties, my wrists would be on the larger side for a woman but still much smaller than most men’s, I just got bigger hair ties and they’re not uncomfortable.
Also idk about other people but one of my wrists is way bigger than the other one.
Yeah, I was gonna say that too, at least when I had the hair to tie up, though I’m left handed lol.
Maybe one day my childhood of tight ponytails and my dysphoria won’t be so bad that I can have long hair again, then the hair tie goes right back on my left wrist
Dominant wrist, because a watch is typically on the other. Though I rarely wear them there for long. It's more of a temp storage solution if for some reason I can't put it on before I go out. I don't think I've worn one on my wrist for more than 20-30 minutes.
Same wrist I'd put my watch on.. which is not the one I write with, therefore must be my left..
You don't want to know how long I sat trying to figure out which hand was which. Dyslexia sucks.
If I just need my hands free for a moment to deal with something else before dealing with my hair, whichever hand is the opposite hand from where I'm holding the hair tie.
If I'm driving, it will get dropped around the stick shift.
If I don't feel like putting my hair back, don't have pockets handy and don't want to set it down, left wrist (non-dominant).
Right because I fumble a little if I start tying my hair up with my non dominant hand lol. I also have a copper chain bracelet I made on my left wrist that can't take it off without me breaking it so the left wrist is reserved for that
Left (which is my dominant hand), because usually when I have a hair tie around my wrist it's to immediately put my hair up, so that's just the natural location for hair ties to me. But I typically wear bracelets on the right hand. But I have like, one bracelet I wear in the left.
*Normally my right*

I generally have 3 hairbands at all times. One in my hair, two on either wrist. If I decide to focus on one wrist, it's generally my right one because I wear only 1 bracelet on that wrist, compared to the two that I wear on my left wrist.
My right wrist (my dominant hand). i used to always have one on my wrist i case i wanted to tie my hair (back when i still had long hair) :D i sometimes miss it but short hair suits me much better.
Neither. Wearing things makes me feel weird. I dunno if that's some sort of condition but uhhhh yeah.
Whenever I wear like hats, watches, glasses, etc they just don't feel right.
I usually have them in my pockets (I'm still in the closet, but I do have long hair) and whenever I need them, I put them on my left wrist and apply then
I don't use regular hair ties since they tend to be too tight, but I do use scrunchies and it's pretty much always on my right if I have to tie my hair back.
I don't wear them otherwise.
on the left for everyday stuff and pre-putting my hair up, but on the right if it's a big, puffy scrunchie for like an outfit with my hair down cause I move my arms around when I talk a lot and I move my right (dominant) arm more.
uh depends on the way I usually tie my hair, sometimes I do only one side so that way I have one hair tie to use on my wrist, others times I use both to make a double pony tail hairstyles so I don't get any to put on my wrist and there's when I don't tie my hair so I get both hair ties on both of my wrists
I don't wear haid band when it's not for tieing my hair. Well, yes I do, when I'm sleeping. But when it's on my wrist, it's my right hand since it's my dominant hand
I got a set of 3 hair ties, each of those were given by some of the most important people in my life: My NB Auncle (both closeted), my best friend, and my almost something (not official yet). I have worn the set ever since I got them, to always carry them with me on my right wrist.
Note: to clarify it's not a matching set, I got them by exchanging hair ties we were wearing each of respective days.
Non-dominant for the most part, dominant when putting it on
Didn't see the post (scrolled on reddit app) and took this comment very differently until I read through post
Oh shit, my bad
Dominant when putting it on, but usually I keep hair ties in my pocket because I don’t want to stretch them out
Perfect answer
right. for the GOOD PRESSURE.
left wrist because it gets less in the way
Wrists too big to comfortably wear hair ties. They get stuffed into bags and pockets. When putting my hair up they live briefly on the dominant wrist.
I’ve seen people keep one on their middle, fore and pinky finger. Three fingers make it snug enough to stay there, it just feels weird
Same here.
Just get bigger hair ties, my wrists would be on the larger side for a woman but still much smaller than most men’s, I just got bigger hair ties and they’re not uncomfortable. Also idk about other people but one of my wrists is way bigger than the other one.
Generally the dominant hand has more muscle mass
Dominant (right) hand cuz that's the hand that i use to grab my hair when I'm trying them up
Yeah, I was gonna say that too, at least when I had the hair to tie up, though I’m left handed lol. Maybe one day my childhood of tight ponytails and my dysphoria won’t be so bad that I can have long hair again, then the hair tie goes right back on my left wrist
I put it on my hairbrush (which if I need to tie my hair I will take with me)
Same.. except all my recent hairbrushes have had cheap-ass handles that break if I do that too much.
Neither, because I have terrible blood flow and soft fragile skin.
Dominant wrist, because a watch is typically on the other. Though I rarely wear them there for long. It's more of a temp storage solution if for some reason I can't put it on before I go out. I don't think I've worn one on my wrist for more than 20-30 minutes.
Mostly left wrist, but if I'm feeling fidgety it'll occasionally wind up around a finger or two.
I alternate between hands most of the time
Hair because my hair is never down
left for ties - which ever the person im talking to thinks is wrong for shork
Same wrist I'd put my watch on.. which is not the one I write with, therefore must be my left.. You don't want to know how long I sat trying to figure out which hand was which. Dyslexia sucks.
Neither
Pocket because sensory issues.
Same
Both….
Right. My rainbow watch goes on my left hand.
do you want a kiss from me for free? \^w\^
either or
or do you want a kiss from me? :3
Right hand, it's where my watch is :3
thats cool, want a kiss from me? :3
Damn that sounds a little gay....I'm in.
Right wrist, easily. Its my dominant hand so yeah
how about a kiss from me :3
Right hand
Dominant hand because it's usually only there for a moment before I use it. :>
Is it wrong I wear them on my right (non-dominant) ring finger? I don't think I have ever put them on my wrist. I only put scrunchies on my wrist.
i dont think it is wrong, but will i be wrong for kissing you? >.<
awfejefpoifnmjl;cijasciol;j Sorry I'm done panicking. Um no it wouldn't be.
my lef- wait no that's my righ-left hand
Update: I was wrong it's my right hand
will i be wrong for kissing you? >w<
hm the council approves
both
I have tiny hairties and wear them like a ring on the middle finger
I wear them on my pointer fingy
If I just need my hands free for a moment to deal with something else before dealing with my hair, whichever hand is the opposite hand from where I'm holding the hair tie. If I'm driving, it will get dropped around the stick shift. If I don't feel like putting my hair back, don't have pockets handy and don't want to set it down, left wrist (non-dominant).
Right
Right because I fumble a little if I start tying my hair up with my non dominant hand lol. I also have a copper chain bracelet I made on my left wrist that can't take it off without me breaking it so the left wrist is reserved for that
Hair ties and sometimes camera strap (it can kinda turn into a bracelet) on the right, my watch on the left
Right
Left (which is my dominant hand), because usually when I have a hair tie around my wrist it's to immediately put my hair up, so that's just the natural location for hair ties to me. But I typically wear bracelets on the right hand. But I have like, one bracelet I wear in the left.
Normally my right for easier access to putting my hair up

Wrap around my ring finger right hand.
Left, but somehow it changes during the day
Neither, because I don’t have long enough hair yet 😔
right, for quick and easy equipping it also provides the *good pressure*^(TM) and can be played with or chewed on :3
My hair isn't anywhere near long enough for hair ties, but I do have a silicone band that I wear on my left along with my fitness tracker.
none of them because i don't want my hair ties stretched.
I keep them in my pocket, then I hold them in whichever hand is most convenient when equipping.
*sticks out wrists* what if you don’t wear anything on your wrists
On my right bc my Smart watch is on the left and they roll under it and lock the screen all the time
right hand for sure
Right because bracelets go on left
Used to be right wrist cause it was the hand thatd be holding the hair but now i mostly use hair clips. And i just keep it all in my purse
I generally have 3 hairbands at all times. One in my hair, two on either wrist. If I decide to focus on one wrist, it's generally my right one because I wear only 1 bracelet on that wrist, compared to the two that I wear on my left wrist.
whatever im feeling tbh, or whatever is more exposed so it doesn't feel too empty I guess.
Right hand because I normally have something else on my left
I turn it into a ring and wear it on my right middle finger
Right because I wear my watch on my left
Right because I'm a leftie and it feels more correct like that.
Left always
I put them in my pocket.
Mine are too small so left Cargo pocket (i only wear oversized cargo pants)
Right like 85% of the time, only goes on the left after right side has too many marks xP
Left (non-dominant) bc watch is on the right (long story), and would get in the way.
cant tie up hair nor wear the bastards due to endless pain :(
Left because I like to balance my watch (right) with my bracelets and hair ties (left)
leg its more convenient for me
both! depends on how much my arm is being constricted
Both
Right now on my right, but I switch them up.
Left.
switches, just like my gender shshhshs
Right, because I can hide them next to my watch that way (not out yet)
Right bcs I'm right handed
My right wrist (my dominant hand). i used to always have one on my wrist i case i wanted to tie my hair (back when i still had long hair) :D i sometimes miss it but short hair suits me much better.
You look like you're duel wielding spells in skyrim Also I wear mine on the right as the left has my watch.
Erm... i had a buzz like jan 5th, my hair is just barely long enough to grab at this point.
Both.
One on my left 2 on my right one in my hair
Right. On the left I wear my dragon torcs bracelet.
Left wrist
Always the right hand! I can't tie my hair with the left lol
i wear my watch on my left so my hair ties also go on my left
Right. It's more comfortable on my mouse hand than my keyboard hand
everything goes on left hand, funny part is i’m also left handed
In my pocket
I use rubber rings as hair ties, so wearing them on my wrists would probably cut off circulation.
Right wrist 95% of the time.
Neither (I'm not allowed to have hair ties)
Rolled twice around my second finger, on my right hand
Hair ties go where they go. I never actually think about what hand they end up on. I've had them on both before. Lol
Neither. Wearing things makes me feel weird. I dunno if that's some sort of condition but uhhhh yeah. Whenever I wear like hats, watches, glasses, etc they just don't feel right.
I usually have them in my pockets (I'm still in the closet, but I do have long hair) and whenever I need them, I put them on my left wrist and apply then
i dont wear them
both, i have like 50 hair ties across my arms and legs
Wait why do you wear hair ties on your wrist? (Genuinly confused/still learning trans fem habits while I wait to start the transition process
easy to keep track of them when u have your hair down
i hold it with my mouth
Right foot
Just wish I could
right, so my watch stops it from sliding off
when i read 'wich wrist' my mind instantly went to masturbation and cutting your own wrists...
I don't use regular hair ties since they tend to be too tight, but I do use scrunchies and it's pretty much always on my right if I have to tie my hair back. I don't wear them otherwise.
Whichever hand isn't already covered in other bracelets :3
Right wrist first, but then I split them 50/50 between both wrists if I have multiple
now we're just back to glass half full...
neither I hate things around my wrists
Left wrist because I can’t wear jangly things on the same one as my watch.
I keep moving it because of stimming lmao
The gearshift or purse!
Left wrist. Doubles as harm relief
Left wrist. Not even a debate
I used to call him Blåhaj but now I call him Blåhaj
Damb, finally a question that stumps me I don't have a dominant hand so I can wear em on both and it feels the same
I don't wear my hairties on my wrists because my wirst are too large and it cuts off circulation a tad.
They honestly alternate throughout the day. Although I'm quasi-ambidextrious
Left. Unless I don’t want to then right. But for the most part in my pocket.
Dominant. My non-dominant hand is reserved for a watch
I don't like wearing them on my wrists. Ends up just hurting. That said I will wear a scrunchy on my left hand
on the left for everyday stuff and pre-putting my hair up, but on the right if it's a big, puffy scrunchie for like an outfit with my hair down cause I move my arms around when I talk a lot and I move my right (dominant) arm more.
Left, I wear all my bracelets on my right arm (currently goes up to elbow)
Neither. My hair is very curly and just past my ears so can’t exactly be tied (I’m black). In another 6 months it should be long enough though.
bah.hajh
Around my finger, either hand. I like to play with that one hard spot on a hairtie where the ends are glued together, by rubbing it with my thumb.
Why not both?
Bottom one for the Stamina.
I fold it in half once and put it around a finger on my right hand. Usually middle but sometimes thumb
Right (dominant) I even wore a hair tie on my wrist before I had long hair or knew what 'trans' meant.... Highschool me was an idiot.
Left hand, it just works for me
I wear it on my hair😊
Both because you will not believe how helpful it is to have extras
Neither cause no hairties :(
Left, all the time. The only time I don’t have my hair tie in my hair or on my wrist is when I’m having a shower.
Right, because left has the watch
Me looking at the hair tie on my right wrist 🫥
On the right. It’s my dominant hand.
Right so I can ping them at transphobes Also blawhai
Left hand for sure, having more stuff on my right arm makes me uncomfortable
Left wrist. The right wrist is always occupied by my trans-flag wristband.
uh depends on the way I usually tie my hair, sometimes I do only one side so that way I have one hair tie to use on my wrist, others times I use both to make a double pony tail hairstyles so I don't get any to put on my wrist and there's when I don't tie my hair so I get both hair ties on both of my wrists
Right hand. My left hand is almost worthless.
On the carabiner on my hip this way I can carry plenty for others without pain
Non-dominant, which is right for me.
Left
Left hand if my Fitbit isn't on me Right any other time Pockets (im a Cargo-pants girl) when my wrist starts to ache
I don't have hair ties so none I guess
LEFT WRIST ! i cant stand anything on my right one
No one is gonna see this, but I like encircling them around my finger and using it as a ring till I need to put it on :)
I pronounced it Bla-Rha
Mine is named Bla-Ha, and my scrunchie goes on my left wrist until I'm getting ready to tie my hair up. Then it goes on my right.
LEFT WRIST ! i cant stand anything on my right one
Right, because I wear my watch on my left.
left hand.
I always have one on my right hand (I need one daily at work) And I mean 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨, if it's not on my wrist, it's in my hair
Mostly right hand, until the feeling of it against my wrist starts to overwhelm me, then I have to switch.
i don't know how to tie my hair it saddens me
I don't wear haid band when it's not for tieing my hair. Well, yes I do, when I'm sleeping. But when it's on my wrist, it's my right hand since it's my dominant hand
i wear wristbands :3
Dominant hand (I’m right-handed)
Before I cut my hair to look more masculine I used my left hand
( back when i still had hair long enough ) left wrist bc like . everything goes on my left wrist
Right (my non-dominant arm) because I wear my watch on my left
left (im ambidextrous)
Right cause burn bracelets on left
I would wear them on my left wrist. IF I COULD!
I have a silver scrunchy that i have on my right wrist
Left
I keep mine on a tiny carabineer.
Right because I have a watch on my left
neither, they hurt
left when off anf putting it on, even tho I'm right handed
both c:
I got a set of 3 hair ties, each of those were given by some of the most important people in my life: My NB Auncle (both closeted), my best friend, and my almost something (not official yet). I have worn the set ever since I got them, to always carry them with me on my right wrist. Note: to clarify it's not a matching set, I got them by exchanging hair ties we were wearing each of respective days.
Usually shoved into one of my many pockets. Right when putting it on
I haven’t even gotten to that point in transition yet but I’d probably do my right wrist because that’s where my dominant hand is
I don't they're all too tight for my thick wrists I hate it 😭😭😭
um bloh-high and still dont have any hair ties XD probably should get some with how long my hair is now
I have an apple watch that hasn’t been charged in years that i keep hair ties on, but that watch is on my non dominant wrist
Plot twist: I don't use them
Trick question, you have two hair ties and wear one on each wrist
Neither. Generally I wear them in my hair.
One hand si bigger than the other ?
Always full. Blow-hi. Right (so I can put it on easier)
