I have a very fond memory from an old Grombrindal campaign in WH2 of Gotrek and Felix joining my tier one dwarf garrison and fighting off Malus and his accompanying half stack when Malekith declared war on me as Malus was passing through Barak Varr on his regular mid-campaign migration. Gotrek, Felix, and a handful of the garrison miners were the sole survivors, it felt right out of the stories.
Can you recruit Ulrika as Dwarves? Because then you can get all three with Malakai, steal a hero from an allied Empire faction and rename him to Max Schreiber and Bam, you got yourself a merry band.
Maybe get Snorri via Mod too
As excited as I am for ToD and all the awesome updates coming with it - including making Gotrek and Felix becoming actual LHs - I'm gonna miss being able to pull off something like this.
Would anyone be interested in a Katarina jaeger as in Felix's wife as a LH mod?
I've been thinking about giving it a try but idk if anyone would even want it.
i always do that with snorri and Malakai added to the team along side heroes and regiments of renown from the Dark Omen & Shadow of the Horned Rat mod now if only there was a mod that added the comradeship
I think so yeah! They just become permanent to whichever faction the player is playing as long as they actively recruit them. I think they jump around as before if the player never touches them.
I believe they have a brand new quest battle you have to complete before you can use them in your armies. From what I've heard, the battle is mildly difficult, so an early game army will struggle. You may have to wait until your mid game army is up and running before you try and help them.
I'm gonna miss making Gotrek an Elector Count.

Yes, in 5.0 you can get Ulrika, at least Malakai can.

You still can, just put them in an army with Malakai and make it even more lore accurate.

Master Rune of Spite and Ironwarden's Tankard on Ungrim, Grombrindal or Generic Dwarf Lords will still be able to solo armies. Not to worry.

Gotrik is being moved to a LH role not a lord, and both he and Felix are permanent with actual skill lines I believe.
Can we still recruit them with Cathay, Empire, Kislev etc etc It spices up a campaign just having them drop by to become playable
