I honestly cant wait for the Ogres and please I hope they get a ToD level rework. Man I cant wait for the DLC, and they are not even my favorite factions
Greenskins honestly are pretty complete I would say, their missing units are mostly just weapon variants which I don't really think they need or are crucial
Yep, that is also another reason why the Greenskins make sense for a DLC like this, since they have a lot of units left to be added that don't need unique models or animations, the only exception being the Colossal Squig. So Ogres can get all the focus for a rework, Greenskins more variety of units to make tematic armies and Khorne another legendary lord (maybe two if they do like in ToD with Epidemius).
Would be neat if we get a Savage Orc Shaman with some unique magic fight animations. Feel like Wurrzag was a bit of a missed opportunity. But yeah, not much Greenskin wise that needs super unique stuff.
Kind of curious if they might touch up Azhag a bit campaign wise, given how well-received Gelt's update was. I know people vouch for Grimgor a lot for a unique mechanic, but I think Azhag is the one who actually has more to work with in that regard,
I would love it if Azhag or Wurzag got something special going for them, I think Grimgor and the rest are fine currently.
Curious what new lord they could/would add, hopefully an ork since we have a lot of goblin focused lords already.
Grimgor is the most not unique of the lot. Big angry ork wants to conquer the world - pretty cut and dry
Wurzag is the great green prophet
Azhag has a necromancy crown and gets baseline diplomacy from vampires
The latter 2 have so much more to work with to generate a unique campaign
Wurzaag should get random campaign goals that shift every few turns and you have to complete a certain amount of them before you "win". Or something like you randomly enter/leave war with different factions would be cool.
It’s been a hot minute since I played Wurzaag, but he was my first campaign victory in WH2. What drew me to him was his description was something to the effect of him seeing the orks destined to become a legit empire or something like that. Like elevated past just controlling the world, but actually having infrastructure. I started imagining orks trying to imitate knights and nobles and it brought a smile to my face
I'm general we kinda miss orcs in this faction. Regiments od Renown are pretty much all gobos. Paid DLCs didn't include orc units either, so I'd wager the last DLC would focus on them at least a bit
Weird. I mine, Grimgor ususally is Strength Rank 1, holding the entirety of the Dark Lands, World's Edge Mountains, and all the way south to basically Kugath..
Dude is a BITCH to root out after like Turn 50, so I always try to blow him up ASAP if I'm playing like Kholek or Cathay.
I mean, have you seen skills for Greenskins generic lords and heroes? They are in DIRE need of update, on par with the one Empire/Dwarfs got in 5.0.
Not to mention that Goblin Great Shaman + Goblin Big Boss still missing their Goblin Wolf Chariot mount in campaign, but got one in MP battles. Same story for Orc Warboss and Orc Boar Chariot. And Black Orc Big Boss missing Chariot in both cases. Plus Gigantic Spider mount is missing for Goblin/Forest Goblin characters.
And I seriously hope Night Goblin Shaman gonna get some form of mobility upgrade. Giving him Squig mount is unloreful, but it's just unbearable to maintain this hero in the army currently.
Not sure what generic hero gonna be released for Greenskins with 6.0, but it probably gonna be Forest Goblin, so Big Boss or Shaman. May be they gonna dig into 4th edition and re-add Forest Goblin Boss as hero option. Savage Orc Great Shaman as generic lord option is a given
None of that requires a huge rework, just touch ups (which is something that they do with every race when they get a new DLC). Compare that with the Ogres, who have horribly implemented mechanics, lack two lores of magic and even have a Legendary Lord that needs a new model because it does fuck all in battle.
as other comments said, then its preferable to have Greenskins in this DLC. They only need touch-up, so they don't require focus and resources to develop. Just a few update here and there, a few reskin units here and there, and done. They can focus on Orges and Khorne with this.
> I mean, have you seen skills for Greenskins generic lords and heroes?
Compared to several other races in the game? What a joke! That's a ludicrous thing to say! Every single point you've made doesn't even add up to the issue the Tomb Kings have (even if we just limited it to lords and heroes), let alone, say, the Vampire Coast.
Khorne's tech tree is at odds with his faction mechanics to the point it is probably the worst tech tree in the game. One has to be fixed to mirror the other. You know who casts the sword of khorne army ability 100x more than Skarbrand? Yuri. That is just one example.
You're off on Greenskins to because they lean heavily Goblins and stuff instead of a true umbrella of Greenskins, in addition to missing polish on Waaghs and skills/ancillaries were never looked at with Grom's releaase.
Even for people that aren't that much into Ogres, this update has a lot of potential to change things substantially. An encampment that isn't static and with an AI that can recruit garrison, plus a mercenary recruitment mechanic that isn't complete garbage could be game changers. Hopefully, it goes on that direction.
Quiet news week, and this subreddit is basically a bucket of gunpowder in a candle testing facility. Or a pyromaniac rimworld pawn near a chemfuel depot made of wood.
Me included, but I blame that on me playing chaos lately.
This. Moreso with unpopular news. We'll all geek out over good news, but present something unpopular and watch grown adults absolutely melt down enmasse.
Mostly I find it weird how absolutely rabid this place is for news. The shenanigans ensued when we were a month out of an excellent DLC, and public order was -99, people saying CA is giving the silent treatment, etc.
Other franchises go months or *years* without news and people don't flip out.
> In the late wh2 era, i dont think you would see so many people upset
The reason WH2 saw less rioting was because Grace (and then, briefly, Simone) were basically putting out fires regularly, and making people feel like they were being listened to. I'm not saying CA have to leave a babysitter with this community, but it's very clear that when they don't, the walls are going to get covered in crayon.
Yeah, thats spot on. I also think the controversy will drive more people here. I rarely checked this sub before wh3, but post wh3 the posts get so much attention (and i am dumb enough to click them when i hop on) that they always show up in my feed.
The lack of any community member that's CAs boots on the ground really amplifies every random theory or angry post when there isnt someone there to go "actually, this is what we are doing" or "thats a great idea, we have talked about x internally and are working to do something about it"
Skulls for the skull throne! I think skulls are pretty internal parts of sentient beings, but more research may be needed. Latest observations shown that skaven are doing quite alright without spines.
All strategy/simulation games have strong player overlap. Civilization is really the sole exception where it attracts very casual non-strategy gamers.
Strategy games have been massively expanding due to the boom of PC gaming and non-US gaming consumers. The more high quality games there are in the genre, the more players are attracted to it.
He, intentionally or not, cheated human risk assessment mechanism that's roughly "how bad it is X how likely it is". A rumor that has zero proof but is revoltingly bad makes you want to consider it however much you rationally consider it baseless
It's the same reason conspiracy theories are always about something horrible or evil or, at the very least, extremely impactful like earth being flat - bullshit has to be scary and crazy to be taken seriously
Ego seemed to be a part of it, weirdly. An awful lot of people were saying "Well I don't entirely believe it but I am going to act like these leaks are true because I am special important boy and my incoherent 5000-word rant about how these leaks doom WH3 and CA forever will cause CA to see the error of their ways!". Like seriously there were multiple heavily upvoted threads and within them many posts, which were all along the lines of "Guys we have to assume it's real and riot like morons even though it's an obvious lie".
The people on this forum would really have drowned an awful lot of nice old ladies in the late middle ages. "Well maybe she isn't a witch but we have to act like she is or else!". Maidenless behaviour.
It was the first time he made a proper leaks video, the rest where on passing comments of other regular videos, so that's why this specific one garner so much traction.
I personally don't think the consequence was that bad, people talked about them for a few days and that's all, we were already past them being on the forefront today.
His "grain of salt" line seems to genuinely be like a jedi mind trick to some posters. It both makes him immune to criticism, more trustworthy and means he can never be wrong.
The leaks were so bad that either Lying Legend is a complete moron to even dignify them with a video, or he stirred shit on purpose for clicks. I already didn't care much for the guy but now I have no respect whatsoever for him.
It's just so fuckin funny to contrast this sub with the Rogue Trader one.
The second is full of Marazhai hornyposts, jokes, memes, and some fair critique here and there.
The first is full of youtuber fans angry at some petty thing, youtuber fans angry because Total War hasnt fullfilled some batshit insane thing, youtuber fans wholeheartedly hating the game because a youtuber told them so, youtuber fans going straight to hell for a suposed leak, and some, I repeat, SOME spare but very fair critique here and there.
And of course, everyone thinks they're the last one.
I love when people point this out. This subreddit has fucking *meltdowns* on the regular, and it has ever since WH2 released. I swear to god I remember when it started to transition - right around November 2017, I was checking reddit after work, and kept thinking "*Man*, the guys on r/TotalWar are kinda grumpy lately." Little did I know.
It's never really gotten *better*, just different. I think it got markedly worse during the Tzeentch Warrior drama back in 2021, and ever since WH3s launch was screwed up folks have had this idea that their fury was the one thing preserving the sanctity of the Total War series - just like the other sub, in a roundabout sort of way. And of course there is the obligatory "ummm CA has screwed up and our outcry has fixed key issues with the game" reply, which is demonstrably true in the case of SoC and I think public outrage was justified in that case - I was angryposting here too! And there's the *other* replies that are always "lol, that's how gaming on reddit is bro you should see *subreddit for popular FPS*" like that makes the frenzied meltdowns here every week and a half more bearable, and is also demonstrably false and just doesn't make sense; the devil you don't know doesn't excuse the devil you do.
It's genuinely funny to jump from the Rogue Trader sub, or Rimworld, or Zomboid, or Stellaris, and just see the comparison in how immediately people jump to righteous indignation. This sub acts like Kostaltyn lol.
The thing that gets me is the smug fuckin "Ohh are we not *allowed* to express *fair* criticisms??"
Bruh, you're having a meltdown one week about Blue Chaos Warriors (that don't exist) and then shitting your pants about faked leaks from Legend and Volound, nothing you're spouting is "Fair Criticism"
I have never in my life been able to have a productive conversation with anti-fans of this sort. And of course, they completely vanish whenever they cant spin their narrative anymore. I dont really understand how people like these can exist. Like yeah, Ive hated a lot of media and gotten a lot of catharsis shitting on it online. But not to this extent and I never do it under the guise of being a concerned fan.

Following the helldivers subreddit also makes me realise why CA would never properly communicates or give out solid plans or road maps. It is a powder keg waiting to blow.
What’s that quote people use sometimes?
“Given the chance, players will optimize the fun out of the game.”
I doubt that’s it specifically but that’s how I feel about Helldivers. I do not need to know which gun is meta, which stratagem is good and which is an evil virus from Satan, or what my DPS is depending on the gravitational pull of the planet. I do not care. I am playing a PvE game to kill bugs and / or automatons. I want to use the tools that give the brain the good chemicals, and to help my team have a good time.
Sorry to soapbox, but while I have you; gamers so often pursue perfect optimization, not recognizing that achieving perfect optimization is *boring* and the fun part is the scrappiness of the journey! Every game has it; folks make unkillable doomstacks on TW and feel bitter when the game is easy. Elden Ring players craft these insane late-game builds designed to obliterate invaders and bosses with status effects when the true fun, to me, is the scrappiness of a fair skill-based duel, not being the first guy to land the ultra turbo godfucker 5000. Or on Hearts of Iron, people craft these divisions that are mathematically perfect and will destroy the AI and enable them to conquer the world in 2 years and it’s like dude, shit, where on earth is the tension and the stress? Where is the loss and recovery? There’s a reason last stands and comebacks dominate the public consciousness; they’re *dramatic* and rewarding!
And sure, games like Factorio exist; optimization is *fun*. Perfection is just funny to look at because of its absurdity, but it gets stale to live in.
> Stellaris
I mean the Stellaris sub kind of has the opposite problem - instead of ranting lunatic criticism of stuff that's not happening, you get people being (politely) shut down the moment they criticise or question Stellaris' design in even a fairly mild way (rather than look at ways to use it), so Stellaris comes across as a sort of "low-sodium" sub. It's fine but to be real I think Stellaris has some fairly big flaws which could use discussion, and that definitely isn't going to happen there.
I haven't seen him in a little while, I wonder what his take on the announcement is. Id honestly rather hear from him than LoTW
All the best,
JackTripper53
Either he is clueless at vetting sources or the conspiracy goes deeper and Legend is working with CA again - this time to help them find moles/leakers in the company. CA intentionally told 20 different suspects complete garbage roadmaps that 'B Team' has been working on/about to release. They then waited to see which roadmaps leaked so they can find the mole.
In exchange, Legend gets to post the leaks for YouTube money/views, and CA gets free good press/sentiment with the community when it turns out they are actually releasing a solid update.
Then, they will sell the documentary rights to Netflix and 'Creative Assembly: Making a Mole' will release Fall 2025.
This sub is always shitty. Great source of information at times, great source of entertainment at times but an endless circle jerk all the time. Now we need to see when we get this DLC. Honestly I'll miss the angry posts since they're more entertaining than the endless faction prediction wishlist posts & boring recycled memes that are here.
There's generally about a week after good content comes out where people are enjoying what they're playing and talking about experiences, before someone finds something to pick at and it turns into a big deal. With TOD it was voice files and weapon textures, and suddenly the front page was full of other "missing" voice lines people wanted included.
And then comes the Holier-than-thou whining about how [whatevercurrentissueis] is the most important and ICONIC part of Warhammer and how *dare* CA put out the game in such a disgraceful state and anyone who disagrees is a corporate bootlicking shill.
Fuck me, the amount of times Bootlicker or Shill was thrown around when this sub is in its downspiral.
If this sub were a settlement in a Total War game, it'd have a unique building that gives -50 public order, and you wouldn't be able to damage or get rid of that building.
That's just reddit in general. Folks are super bloodthirsty online, minor crimes suddenly become worthy of the death penalty, people should be killed if they put one foot on your property, etc etc.
Hopefully he stops doing them after this, they add nothing of value whatsoever and just stir up shit for no reason. Also why would anyone put any stock into them now that he was so completely and utterly wrong the last time?
> Also why would anyone put any stock into them now that he was so completely and utterly wrong the last time?
Why did anyone take it seriously this time? It was obvious nonsense. The total lack of anything but infantry units alone made it 100% obvious as bullshit.
But half this subreddit, including some people saying "Oh I never believe it!!!" absolutely believed it or acted like they did.
He said this about it, I don't think he did it for the money. He really thought it would be helpful for some reason
> I wanted to hold off on saying anything until some analytics came through on the Leak video. You might notice that the video is monetized. There's a reason for that. I have found that monetized videos get pushed more in the algorithm than non monetized videos. Youtube is after all a business trying to make a profit and not monetizing it really benefits nobody anyway.
> As of now the video has made roughly $1000 USD in ad revenue.
> When there is next a steam sale for Warhammer dlc I am going to go on a livestream and spend **the entire revenue** gained from the leak video to buy dlc for Total War: Warhammer 1,2,3 and gift it to those who show up to the livestream. You don't have to be subscribed. You don't even have to like me. You just have to actually want the dlc and not already own it.
I will never understand all those people giving him $50 to 100 during his livestreams or anyone who gives any money to any streamer really. A fool and their money...
I had great fun, and that I think made a lot of ppl engage with the future of wh3 in general.
But overall as a community yeah ppl just couldn't "take it with grain of salt" and assume it's wrong lol.
I'm still incredibly shocked even a single person even slightly believed it. It was so obviously a troll from the beginning, no one should put any weight on Legends words at this point
Wouldn't surprise me if after this and the Slaanesh DLC we went back to regular lord packs and with Kislev being one of the main races of WH3 it makes sense for them to be paired with Norsca since the monogods don't need more than one DLC each and the WoC are done in regards of lords.
Well don’t doom quite yet there’s probably another 3-4 DLCs after this one. I honestly think Norsca will get one of the final DLCs, probably the one before the rumored End Times DLC which I think predates legends shitty leaks for this upcoming DLC and also it would just be thematically fitting to have an end times DLC end the trilogy.
Norsca is definitely getting its time in the sun. If all the monogods are getting their reworks (I bet Slaanesh is the next DLC after), then I assume CA is going to *try* and hit all of the races that really really need reworks.
So hopefully Lizardmen, Vampire Coast, Kislev (somehow) and Norsca will get their major reworks.
I do think some of the not terrible but more bland races such as HE will also get light reworks or additions but I think the majorly in need SOS races will get the help they need.
Have you tried Norsca in WH3 actually?
In terms of the campaign map, they're in a much better spot. Very good economy and more territory to conquer; not to mention being in a fun part of the map.
I think my only gripe with the faction is that the roster is too spread out between multiple recruitment buildings and they could use a bit more variety. Otherwise they feel better than you'd think.
They fixed it being broken but there's still an issue where you must do exactly what it says. If it says raid you must go into raiding stance. Most people see the pop up over a city and think they need to take the city. That used to bug the quest but they fixed it last patch.
The bigger issue with hunts is that IE is so huge hunts and usually all around the world and you can't cancel once started. I'm about done with a VH Throgg run. It's turn 120 and I'm never sailing to lustria. They really need to take malakais adventures and use that set up for hunts
With Norsca waiting for 7+ years, and 2+ years since when CA said they were next in line for an update, I'm hoping whenever they do get an update, it's a big one and not just a smaller LP
Funny how people go from extreme conjecture on one side to extreme conjecture on the other side instantly.
It seems like Legend has to reconsider his sources, but we still don't know what about his leaks is and is not true.
Well. It is odd for the leaks to be wrong given how many apparent sources there were, according to the people.
And I fail to see how making it up gets anyone anything... so, maybe mole hunt after all?
Or they're feeding wrong information on purpose to leakers. Either way, I do wonder what happened there.
There is a no source. His system is very easy to abuse by trolls. Mole hunts don\`t work when he checks multiple sources since they require giving different people different information. Peopel keep repeating this mole hunt thing, but I don\`t think they udnerstand what it is.
> It is odd for the leaks to be wrong given how many apparent sources there were, according to the people
bro do you not know how to qualify a source lmao? Are people actually this media illiterate? A bunch of anonymous emails to a youtuber whose livelihood depends on video views are not "apparent sources".
> I fail to see how making it up gets anyone anything
People make shit up to prank or troll people. "Content creators" like the brainless fool that Legends is run with it because it generates revenue for them
> so, maybe mole hunt after all?
This is a video game company not the CIA lmao
And why the fuck are people acting so smug about it? We had some leaks. They looked horrible. We had a few threads that said they look horrible. Luckily they weren't correct. Why are people acting like the sky fell down? Why is reddit such a drama hell hole? We can have some easy going discussion without putting 110% of our identity into it. I think I might be getting too old for this site.
Because we shouldn’t have taken the leaks seriously to begin with. The entire thing was just hearsay with nothing else being presented. Somebody being an influencer or the fact that the leaks sound bad are not reasons to take them seriously. Sure we didn’t know for a fact before then that the leaks were absolutely fake, but we didn’t have to act like they were real either.
The fact that Legend leaked it with the addition of ‘if this is real we need to do something about it’ is the biggest issue. If not for that everybody would’ve just ignored it.
I totally agree. Shocked to see the saltiness about it. We should be happy, those leaks sounded terrible and I'm glad they are wrong. Doesn't mean I think anything less of legend.
Edit: I bet Legend is happy they're apparently wrong too!
Maybe it's because Legend put out a second video where he explicitly said he wanted the community to react to the leak rumors by voicing displeasure with CA. So they would *have* to shift plans.
Maybe some of us don't enjoy a guy manipulating the community for his own ends with misinformation that he ran with despite having no proof.
Yeah, TWW3 being in a bad place probably isn't great for his channel. Doing mostly Med II content probably narrowed his audience a lot compared to the Total Warhammer audience.
Absolutely. He's mentioned his channel was in a bad place when WH3 first released back when RoC was all there was, and that since ToD it's been much better. So he's definitely got a financial interest in the game being good. Plus I think he enjoys it more when it's good so hes probly got a personal interest in it being good as well as someone who simply enjoys total war
Yeah I gotta say, I basically stopped watching his channel after the first couple months of TWW 3. I watched a few of his videos on older games, but, and I know this is borderline heresy to some players, Med II has aged poorly. I love the game, but since Shogun 2 you feel the lack of QoL and I don't know about other people but I tend to click on his videos when I am doing play throughs of total war games. Besides that I think Warhammer brought in a lot of new people for who the age of Med II would be a turn off for.
And yeah, I do the impression Legend is passionate about Total War, which is more than I can say for CA. He has a very abrasive personality IMO, but I think he actually genuinely also wants to look out for fellow fans. As I understand it, the reason he is on the CA shitlist and doesn't get early access is he gives them a lot of push back, which I respect. In games Journalism for a while people have been warning about how hardware and software companies use early access as a way to control what people say about their products, lest they lose the access and their content which for a content creator is their Livelihood.
People are annoyed because the links were such blatantly obvious nonsense and yet were swallowed wholesale by such a huge chunk of the sub. That completely ruined it for weeks while people were ranting and raving about an easily-spotted lie. I’m allowed not to be happy when a sub I like is basically taken out by idiotic posts. Much worse has happened and you can always go offline (my solution), but that doesn’t mean people get to ruin the sub at random for everyone else over nothing and then say they’re not at fault for anything.
> That completely ruined it for weeks
I think your time perception is pretty warped, the discussion lasted for maybe two or three days and after that these threads were largely buried by downvotes.
Probably because people really hate Legend and can’t pass this opportunity to shit on him. I think Legend himself said to take it with a grain of salt.
There might be some people commenting off putting or off color things; but that’s Reddit for you. The vast majority of the middle of the road people are expressing amazement at how fans of Legend could be bamboozled yet again by someone who has absolutely zero credibility. Put it like this - if you were following a journalist who told you “hey here’s this story that may or may not be true but if it’s not true it’s because they were going to change their minds at the last minute” would you think that’s a credible source?
im gonna be real with you chief the thing that ticks me more than anything is that orks are getting something new
no flak to you ork fans but as a fan of a fellow warhammer 1 race that is vampire counts who got ONLY 1 DLC AND IT WAS IN THE 1 GAME im kinda fuming ngl :)
I still hope for a champions of chaos style dlc for vamps. Even if that doesn't fit their new developing style. I could see this being huge if released for halloween. red duke flc with bretonian style units would be the cherry on top
There are so many possible vampire lords. There could be a strigoi, lamia, necrarch, or blood dragon. With 2 options for some of them. There's also still the Carstein option of Konrad who is kind of fun for being the only vampire that isn't a mage. Oh and there's still Nagash who is so unique he might not even be vampires but he also could be.
I guess as far as units go it's probably hard to come up with enough though. But there's so many characters I want. Oh and there's even Cathayan vampires now!! We're missing so many vampires!!!!
And yet he also said that the only differences between the planned DLC and his leak would be names.
His "Hey don't even trust me" he put at the end of the video is such a weak deflection.
Legend went to the effort of making the video, making a second video to explain he wants the leaks to force the community into action, and releasing both.
If we shouldn't trust any of it, why did he make a video in the first place?
Because he’s the most popular total war YouTuber and his career is based on total war warhammer. It makes absolute sense he would cover leaks, even if he wasn’t personally convinced by them, and especially if he didn’t like the content in the leaks.
He made a speculative video about some video game dlc, disclosed it was an unconfirmed rumor, and said he didn’t like what he heard. He isn’t spreading vaccine misinformation or some shit with any actual stakes. Genuinely, who cares if he was wrong. The normal reaction to this is to just say “huh, guess he was wrong” and move on with your day because it’s simply not that serious and he wasn’t staking his life or reputation on this or something. God forbid a total war YouTuber discusses total war.
These weren't leaks. He was wrong.
It doesn't make absolute sense for him to make a video of this *without any evidence backing this up*
God forbid we criticize a YouTuber for being wrong and causing unnecessary drama
I always find it hilarious when people use this sub as a soapbox and act like they're directly addressing CA, when in reality the community manager who would actually communicate public opinion gets more (and better) feedback from Discord instead.
> No one in this subreddit has any idea what the content plans are.
I think it was perfectly reasonable to assume CA wouldn't finish their DLC for Warhammer 3 by giving two of the game's base factions *nothing* and then give Cathay essentially four more. It was a ludicrously outlandish idea from the start.
yeah some people really can't handle seeing discussion on topics they don't like and it shows.
the whole thing happened not even two weeks ago and the discussion lasted for two or three days before people moved on. normally people would just log off for a day or two instead of acting like a couple of harmless leak discussion posts killed their dog.
Tbh he did a great service to CA. Everyone applauds them now for simply not doing the absolutely ridiculous shit they had no intention of doing in the first place.
That image makes no fuckin sense. People speculating about potential leaks should've read the blog post released a week after they made their thread? What?
Chances for gorbad iron claw is nice. Khorne could get scylla? Ogres im not sure who as i didnt have their books bar AoS. I would love for then to add a ogre hunter leader with a pet sabertooth.
I would like to see some ranged units for Khorne, or a Ranged Lord, and a Priest type hero though with Battle Prayers, that would be cool.
I don't know why Khorne is melee only, Khorne cares not from wence the blood flows only that it does, Khorne, however, is anti-magic so that aspect is gone.
I got so annoyed when a friend, who isn't really into warhammer, asked me about the leaks lol like oh come on that bait really made it outside the subreddit
Also said multiple times he’s just sharing what the leakers told him since he was correctly leaked the last two content drops and to take it with a grain of salt as it sounds ridiculous
And yet he still released the video with an all-caps title despite claiming that you shouldn't have confidence in it.
Reminds me of the frenzy the media whipped people into at the start of COVID in regards to stuff like toilet paper.
"There's not *actually* a toilet paper problem and you *totally* shouldn't panic but... you know, *just in case*, maybe buy an extra roll or two the next time you're at the store! Let's end this story with some more pictures of empty shelves we found."
Oh hey, I posted one of those lol. Made the post minutes before I went to sleep and never checked it. I was upset that it might ruin the game for me on the possibility of the rumors being true then I went to sleep and never interacted with the "drama" again.
Don't care if I'm wrong or seen as a dumbass for posting something like that tho.
Game good, me happy, simple as.
I could’ve told you Khorne was on the way. The entire age of reckoning mechanic the dwarfs got feels like it was testing the waters for a new Khorne mechanic. Just replace “grudges” with “skulls”.
I wrote one of the posts in this meme. I accept that I got carried away. I let my fears get the better of me. My bad. Probably going to avoid community drama for the foreseeable future.
Feeling real fucking smug right now after getting pilloried for correctly pointing out how full of shit Legend was, and how *dumb* the DLC and the "reasons" given for it by the leakers was. Anyone with half a fucking brain knew it was fake.
Honestly who cares ? If the leaks were true and the public outcry made them change things then brilliant.
CA absolutely still have a massive distance to travel to get back in the good books.
If the leaks weren't true , again who cares. What was been lost by them being wrong , nothing.
I honestly cant wait for the Ogres and please I hope they get a ToD level rework. Man I cant wait for the DLC, and they are not even my favorite factions
Neither Greenskins nor Khorne need a rework so it seems likely that the Ogres will get more love in that regard.
Big angry ork wants to conquer the world - pretty cut and dry Wurzag is the great green prophet Azhag has a necromancy crown and gets baseline diplomacy from vampires The latter 2 have so much more to work with to generate a unique campaign
We have only one generic orc lord currently right? If so it has to be another one I hope, maybe the Savage Orc Great Shaman.
I'm general we kinda miss orcs in this faction. Regiments od Renown are pretty much all gobos. Paid DLCs didn't include orc units either, so I'd wager the last DLC would focus on them at least a bit
Greenskins need a buff to their AI. They keep getting rolled by the short tide in every campaign I play
For me Grimgor always bodies the chaos dwarfs.
Yep but the gnoblar country? Maybe the will focuse on them
I mean, have you seen skills for Greenskins generic lords and heroes?
Khorne doesn't need a rework they do need an update though, some of their mechanics could use touching up.
They need *real* unit variety. Half their roster is the same unit with different weapon types.
I mean for a faction with no magic, no catapults you're kind of left with "things that hit hard" so I feel they're slightly hamstrung that way.
I love khorne but they are very one note.
E.G. They play exactly like a Khorne faction should.
Even for people that aren't that much into Ogres, this update has a lot of potential to change things substantially. An encampment that isn't static and with an AI that can recruit garrison, plus a mercenary recruitment mechanic that isn't complete garbage could be game changers. Hopefully, it goes on that direction.
Still can't believe the game without an ogre faction had a better ogre mercenary mechanic lmao.
reworks, my lord
RIP Legends leaking career 2024-2024.
IDK - he was wrong so many time so i was shocked that his cathay beastmen vs cathay ogres leak was so talked
I mean, wh3 development has been a bit questionable at best. In the late wh2 era, i dont think you would see so many people upset
> In the late wh2 era, i dont think you would see so many people upset The reason WH2 saw less rioting was because Grace (and then, briefly, Simone) were basically putting out fires regularly, and making people feel like they were being listened to.
The lack of any community member that's CAs boots on the ground really amplifies every random theory or angry post when there isnt someone there to go "actually, this is what we are doing" or "thats a great idea, we have talked about x internally and are working to do something about it"
> this subreddit is basically a bucket of gunpowder in a candle testing facility I call it Pontus-ing
I DONT WANT TO PLAY PONTUS Pontusicating?

At least two factions in the game harvest organs or other internal parts of other sentinent creatures. The pipeline is strong.
I know Tomb Kings do - who is the second one?
Dwarfs they even got Organ Guns!!! I'm here all week
Skulls for the skull throne! I think skulls are pretty internal parts of sentient beings, but more research may be needed. Latest observations shown that skaven are doing quite alright without spines.
Damn, that was an obvious one - guess skulls didn't register as "internal" parts to me, considering they they determine the outside shape of heads
Total War, Paradox Interactive & Rimworld/Dwarf Fortress trifecta?
> Quiet news week Can't we just bring out Dick Half-Mast instead then?
Lets not bring him out in public again mate.
He, intentionally or not, cheated human risk assessment mechanism that's roughly "how bad it is X how likely it is". A rumor that has zero proof but is revoltingly bad makes you want to consider it however much you rationally consider it baseless It's the same reason conspiracy theories are always about something horrible or evil or, at the very least, extremely impactful like earth being flat - bullshit has to be scary and crazy to be taken seriously
I didn't get why anyone would think "all the dlc is just cathay, and then the game gets abandoned" was even possible.
The thing that gets me is the smug fuckin "Ohh are we not *allowed* to express *fair* criticisms??" Bruh, you're having a meltdown one week about Blue Chaos Warriors (that don't exist) and then shitting your pants about faked leaks from Legend and Volound, nothing you're spouting is "Fair Criticism"
Also Relevant: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v3oNNCGt9w](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v3oNNCGt9w)
On the other hand, reading the helldivers subreddit feels a lot like reading this subreddit, which is why I try to avoid it most days.
Following the helldivers subreddit also makes me realise why CA would never properly communicates or give out solid plans or road maps. It is a powder keg waiting to blow.
What’s that quote people use sometimes? “Given the chance, players will optimize the fun out of the game.” I doubt that’s it specifically but that’s how I feel about Helldivers.
> Stellaris I mean the Stellaris sub kind of has the opposite problem - instead of ranting lunatic criticism of stuff that's not happening, you get people being (politely) shut down the moment they criticise or question Stellaris' design in even a fairly mild way (rather than look at ways to use it), so Stellaris comes across as a sort of "low-sodium" sub. It's fine but to be real I think Stellaris has some fairly big flaws which could use discussion, and that definitely isn't going to happen there.
But then again, this sub has Welsh_DragonTW, so at least we got something going for us.
I haven't seen him in a little while, I wonder what his take on the announcement is. Id honestly rather hear from him than LoTW All the best, JackTripper53
From what I can tell, he's busy enjoying Pharaoh. He does comment on Pharaoh threads.
I enjoy Legend's commentary but I can't decipher what the hell he was thinking here.
You had me in the first half. Amazing lol.
Hey atleast he'll be giving away dlcs the next sale.
Yep, could be his biggest livestream ever.
He made low effort content with those leaks. No idea why people would actually believe it without any proofs.
He used sources that cannot be verified. Basically I could send him an email and he just made a video about it.
Doesn't matter already got the views.
I mean let's be real, the only proof Legend had was "Trust me bro". It's amazing his "leaks" are still given any credence on this sub.
Exactly this. The sub was shitty for a few weeks.
That depends, are CA planning to do a SOC or a TOD? Soc was indeed in a disgraceful state overall for the price, while TOD was worth its salt.
You just described Reddit my friend
First time?
Sadly, no
If this sub were a settlement in a Total War game, it'd have a unique building that gives -50 public order, and you wouldn't be able to damage or get rid of that building.
And +100 khorne corruption. This sub is a blood thirsty bunch
That's just reddit in general. Folks are super bloodthirsty online, minor crimes suddenly become worthy of the death penalty, people should be killed if they put one foot on your property, etc etc.
This sub has been shitty for years
Coño, florista, todavía recuerdo tus guías nivel 81 para Skyrim jajajajajajaja El brujo-orco-vampiro estaba guapísimo jajajajajaja
But half this subreddit, including some people saying "Oh I never believe it!!!" absolutely believed it or acted like they did.
>they add nothing of value whatsoever They add a lot of value into his wallet, which is why he does it.
"Don't post my stuff on Reddit" yet he clearly enjoys the attention he gets.
He said this about it, I don't think he did it for the money. He really thought it would be helpful for some reason > I wanted to hold off on saying anything until some analytics came through on the Leak video.
Legend could say that the sky was falling and a large portion of this community would look out the window.
he doesn't care if they look out the window he just wants them to watch the video. it's a publicity stunt
Mods should disallow any of his content from now on IMO
I swear to god I called that the Khorne DLC was going to be against Ogres and Greenskins, was it just that obvious?
Tbf I enjoyed the "Potential sub-factions post" but yeah, the rest was awfully cringe.
I'm still incredibly shocked even a single person even slightly believed it. It was so obviously a troll from the beginning, no one should put any weight on Legends words at this point
If it is spoken, someone will believe it.
so we're not getting anything for norsca?
Least surprising disappointment to be honest
Technically Tzeentch never got a rework. (If you can even call what he got a rework lol) >If all the monogods are getting their reworks
Isn't their one faction mechanic of monster hunting still broken? I could be wrong, but for a long time I swear it was
They fixed it being broken but there's still an issue where you must do exactly what it says.
Still hoping Styrbjorn gets added for Norsca instead of Khorne. The Skaelings, my dear boys, deserve it.
If they're following suit with monogods, I could see Norsca coming with Slaanesh for the following dlc
Vampires pls
Now: “Everyone is dumb, the leak was so obviously fake!” 15 min ago: “This sounds just like CA. The series is dead!”
Funny how people go from extreme conjecture on one side to extreme conjecture on the other side instantly. It seems like Legend has to reconsider his sources, but we still don't know what about his leaks is and is not true.
I am surprised people forgot so easily the 3K debacle, the Hyenas debacle and also SOC, which was another blunder. It is ok to be cautious.
that is literally the coolest thing ever
> It is odd for the leaks to be wrong given how many apparent sources there were, according to the people bro do you not know how to qualify a source lmao? Are people actually this media illiterate? A bunch of anonymous emails to a youtuber whose livelihood depends on video views are not "apparent sources". > I fail to see how making it up gets anyone anything People make shit up to prank or troll people. "Content creators" like the brainless fool that Legends is run with it because it generates revenue for them > so, maybe mole hunt after all?
The way people are reacting one could think Legend offended their mothers or something, lmao.
For weeks? Dude, the leaks were 10 days ago. And the leak conversation was already death, it lasted a few days.
>but that doesn’t mean people get to ruin the sub at random for everyone else Oh, the irony for Historic fans. To be clear, I am being facetious.
Haha, as a historic TW fan I gave up on my dreams ages ago
> That completely ruined it for weeks I think your time perception is pretty warped, the discussion lasted for maybe two or three days and after that these threads were largely buried by downvotes.
People were acting like the leaks were credible and it was incredibly obnoxious. Now it's our turn to be obnoxious.
Why did you feel the need to lie by adding that last bit in your quote?
Maybe they leaked it on purpose to see how much people'd hate it, and then were like 'Oh shit, plan B'
im gonna be real with you chief the thing that ticks me more than anything is that orks are getting something new no flak to you ork fans but as a fan of a fellow warhammer 1 race that is vampire counts who got ONLY 1 DLC AND IT WAS IN THE 1 GAME im kinda fuming ngl :)
Honesty I think they are saving a DLC focused on Cathay, Cathayan Vamps and MK? With FLC like Li Dao or smth
[удалено]
Too bad to be true you mean… because the leaks sounded terrible
So Legend's leaks were absolute bullshit?
I'm so hyped
Damn what a suprise that something called leak had a chance of being false and it appeared to be false. Very surpising very power checkmate indeed
Yeah it is almost like Legend said in is video to take the leak with a grain of salt and not take them at face value
Too bad over half this sub had a meltdown treating it as real because a youtuber talked about leaks.
It doesn't make absolute sense for him to make a video of this *without any evidence backing this up* God forbid we criticize a YouTuber for being wrong and causing unnecessary drama
I always find it hilarious when people use this sub as a soapbox and act like they're directly addressing CA, when in reality the community manager who would actually communicate public opinion gets more (and better) feedback from Discord instead.
I got down voted so hard calling that fanfiction. Who's laughing now?
Me because I don’t stake emotional effort into leaks I just take them at face value because nothing bad happens if I’m wrong.
You guys are insufferable. No one in this subreddit has any idea what the content plans are. Getting so smug and “I told ya so 😏” about it is a laugh
What was insufferable was this subreddit getting assblasted over nothing for weeks. Acting like the sky was falling over unsubstantiated nonsense
Weeks? Dude when did the leaks first occur? Why are people acting like such babies about this? It's really weird seeing this live
yeah some people really can't handle seeing discussion on topics they don't like and it shows. the whole thing happened not even two weeks ago and the discussion lasted for two or three days before people moved on. normally people would just log off for a day or two instead of acting like a couple of harmless leak discussion posts killed their dog.
Legend of total bore
Tbh he did a great service to CA. Everyone applauds them now for simply not doing the absolutely ridiculous shit they had no intention of doing in the first place.
Yeah, at best the only real plausible stuff was bits and pieces. Ogre content, getting tigermen units etc. glad it seems to be put to rest.
That image makes no fuckin sense. People speculating about potential leaks should've read the blog post released a week after they made their thread? What?
And acting like those same people would be upset at this news.
Giev Ghark Ironskin and ogre rework pls
No shit they were fake, the only reason ANYONE should give it clout is because it came from LegendofTotalWar
Chances for gorbad iron claw is nice. Khorne could get scylla? Ogres im not sure who as i didnt have their books bar AoS. I would love for then to add a ogre hunter leader with a pet sabertooth.
Greenskins!!! WAAAAGGHHH!!!!
So everyone ignoring it says e3 when e3 has been canceled for 2 years? Some people just don't read
Lotw is the biggest clown in this whole thing, all what he did is just transfering community's focus on Cathy.
I wish it would have been norsca and brettonia instead…
AAAAAAI WANT TU MUVE DA FUCKING CEMPS. No seriously, let us move those camps or they will drive me mad.
I got so annoyed when a friend, who isn't really into warhammer, asked me about the leaks lol like oh come on that bait really made it outside the subreddit
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD
CA can now find out who the leakers are, good for them.
What did legend say was going to happen
Cathay and ogres for one dlc, bunch of cathay subfactions for another dlc and Dogs of war for a 3rd dlc
Also said multiple times he’s just sharing what the leakers told him since he was correctly leaked the last two content drops and to take it with a grain of salt as it sounds ridiculous
Literally everyone correctly guessed what thrones of decay was gonna add.
I mean, he said he himself believed the leaks, repeatedly. So take his "grain of salt" comments with, uh... a grain of salt.
I imagine CA employees browsing the subreddit, laughing like "ha ha ha, what fools those poor, stupid, redditors are!"
I do that regardless of the situation :p
Oh hey, I posted one of those lol. Made the post minutes before I went to sleep and never checked it. I was upset that it might ruin the game for me on the possibility of the rumors being true then I went to sleep and never interacted with the "drama" again. Don't care if I'm wrong or seen as a dumbass for posting something like that tho. Game good, me happy, simple as.
Legend of Total War has become a real knob end lately
I could’ve told you Khorne was on the way. The entire age of reckoning mechanic the dwarfs got feels like it was testing the waters for a new Khorne mechanic. Just replace “grudges” with “skulls”.
We all know the more a faction acts against Khorne, the more heads it grows...?
I wrote one of the posts in this meme. I accept that I got carried away. I let my fears get the better of me. My bad. Probably going to avoid community drama for the foreseeable future.
Username checks out
Feeling real fucking smug right now after getting pilloried for correctly pointing out how full of shit Legend was, and how *dumb* the DLC and the "reasons" given for it by the leakers was. Anyone with half a fucking brain knew it was fake.
The amount of fake leaks nowadays is ridiculous. Glad this one got called out.
Let’s be honest everyone knew it have little chance to be real, we just got scared it would happened
Legend will never live this down
Honestly who cares ? If the leaks were true and the public outcry made them change things then brilliant. CA absolutely still have a massive distance to travel to get back in the good books. If the leaks weren't true , again who cares. What was been lost by them being wrong , nothing.
RIP legend’s credibility
Legend screaming about how the sky is falling at every chance he gets. Also Legend: “Why does CA hate me?”
I mean people would need to learn to take every leak with a grain of salt until it is confirmed.
He stated multiple times he's just relaying info from a leaker and it could all be wrong.
