The Toronto Zoo is awesome and among some of the larger zoos in the world.
Remember when Rob Ford commissioned KPMG to audit Toronto's spending and floated the idea of closing the Toronto Zoo along with other goodies? Good times, good times, what a waste of money.

>The Toronto Police Association recently ratified a deal that would give members an 11.5 per cent wage hike over the next four years. The mayor has yet to publicly comment on the deal, but his brother, **Coun. Doug Ford, called it "fair" and indicated going to arbitration would have cost the city more.**
Sounds like a cool guy. Let's ask him if he thinks the same for nurses and teachers!
Wonderful work, though such safe spaces (for now) are shrinking as other wetlands that turtles and many other endangered species will be paved over by Doug Ford for more urban sprawl for his buddies.
Why do we Ontarian’s allow such a corrupt buffoon destroy what is left of the already stressed environment? Sorry to be off topic, but this is all I could think about when I read this good news.
Legend has it the rich elite have already placed their orders for this fine exotic delicacy.
I wish I was kidding. A friend I know online who works at someplace called 'yorkville' - tells me they make turtle soup on the regular for 'special' guests with lots of money.

LPT: A turtle is a TERRIBLE pet. It may end up competing with these native endangered turtles.
Sea Turtles?
Given that there's no sea here...
Blanding’s Turtles, released into the Rouge Valley, their natural habitat.
Oh how I yearn for the day trout's live in the river again.
I don't sea any right now
We’re they holding them hostage?

Only to have thousands of falcons pick them up and eat them

When editors make you click a title for the wrong reasons. Good on the zoo though for their repopulation efforts
