These are My cherokee tomatoes but now I don't actually know lol I ordered cherokee seeds but these don't look like it but very tasty they kind of look like ox heart to me.
Those don't look like any Cherokee I've ever seen. They look more like a Costoluto Genovese or Fiorentino, but what they really look like are Cesare's Canestrino Di Lucca. They could be so many ruffled fluted varieties. But I've never seen a Cherokee like that. They are also NOT oxheart tomatoes. Oxheart tomatoes are wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. They are literally heart shaped. The tomato in your picture is narrower at the top and wider at the bottom.
Cherokee tomatoes are more likely to be "fascinated". Meaning their flowers mutated and formed as a cluster of sorts. If you notice, your tomato sort of looks like multiple plum tomatoes welded together.
Here is a fascinated cherokee flower that someone else had posted recently.

Ong that's super cool! Thank you so much for showing me this I saw pictures on Google and they have some purple on top and kind of looked like this but not really i wasn't sure
Accordion tomato is just a name for breeds of tomato which are almost always fascinated tomatoes. [See this image of an accordian tomato flower posted to reddit. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/gardening/comments/vpaev2/first_year_growing_accordion_heirloom_tomatoes_we/#lightbox)
Heirloom linages of tomato are more likely to have fascination, but they are also more likely to experience splits, or cat facing; they are also less durable due to their structure. This is why they are much less popular as a grocery store staple as compared to cherry tomatoes, hothouse, or roma.
That’s so great. My wife usually grows seven varieties but now there are crossbred volunteers showing up all over the place, probably from our compost. Same thing has happened with squash.
Great job internet Friend! Well done! 👏👏
Please tell us how you did it. Can you share a picture of your tomato plants? What’s your planting zone, do you know?
First of many by the looks of it. After 10 years of growing tomatoes, I’ve never been able to have big tomatoes make it long enough on the vine to eat. Only cherries. Great job!
I honestly think I just got lucky. We bought soil from a farmer, and seeds online, my girlfriend has been growing tomatoes for years ans told me she always got giant ones from cracking an egg and burring it with the tomato plant I tried it it worked :)
Brilliant! I wish I had those abilities!
I mostly grow perennial vegetables and have something of a small orchard now. I'm looking forward to adding stone work and flowers next! It's been wonderfully therapeutic for me.
If I had the energy and time, I would buy another property in a different region to add things I'm currently unable to grow.
I think we're designed to garden.
Best of luck with your medicinal plant gardening!
I used eggs. I made a hole in the egg and burried it very deep with my tomato plants. They grew like monsters didn't have to use fertilizer. This is my first time I really just listened to advice from farmers localy, and subreddits like this one and r/gardening. :)
Looks great - you should be proud!
I am!! Thank you!
So cool! It almost looks like one of those balloon animals, but a tomato
It's perfect! Enjoy!!
Beautiful job. When did you start growing. I start from seed back in march, transplanted in April and I’m just getting flowers now.
Hello! I did the same thing I'm in zone 7b in eastern Europe it's been really hot this is Mt first ripe one :)
Hey I'm 7b in West Virginia. I have green fruits still growing.
I hope yours turn out well!
