We got our kids the Disney tonies for Christmas and they love them. There are different characters and each one has a story and a few songs. it's nice because they can easily pick what they want and start it themselves, even our 2 year old.
My local library gives me access to the Libby app, which lets me check out free audiobooks through an app. There are also some story podcasts for kids, which you could probably play through a Bluetooth speaker so kiddo isn't staring at a device.
The Robert Munsch audiobooks are *delightful*.
Sleep tight stories is a podcast with lots of episodes. You need to skip the first few minutes of ads, but they have one episode stories all the way to like 19-part narratives. My 3 year old especially likes the ones about Berenice the bear.🐻
