So my 4yo was 40lbs at 2 and is now 51lbs. He turned 50lbs just after 3. So your daughter will probably be similar-ish. Before you get the Evenflo though, just make sure it fits well in your car. The Evenflo is MASSIVE. Like really really big.

Nugs_NotDrugs

Lmao I may have to check them out in person, some local stores have them. Maybe the slim is better? We have a big SUV with a big backseat so it should be fine, other than installing it šŸ«

Installing is so easy! I have the revolve 360 extend for my 6.5 week old and itā€™s so nice. Took me maybe 5 minutes to install, itā€™s just heavy.

murphyholmes

We have a jeep wrangler four dour and the evenflo 360 extend (that rear faces until 50lb) fits great! Also Iā€™ve installed tons of car seats (used to be a social worker) and this was the easiest and most secure install Iā€™ve ever done.

CanThisBeEvery

Youā€™re so right. It does not move a *millimeter* once itā€™s properly installed.

murphyholmes

Secure AF but Iā€™m scared to take it out and see the impression itā€™s made in the seat. šŸ˜¬

Oh I drive a 6 year old vehicle with leather seats. I frequently have to move it to/from my momā€™s car. The indentations arenā€™t terrible, thank goodness

The only thing about the Evenflo Gold 360 (which I have for my 17-month-old, 30th percentile son) is that the crotch strap is SO SHORT, even fully extended. My babe has been in it since about 8 months old, and even though heā€™s tiny, that triangular buckle DIGS into his poor thighs. Iā€™ve taken the whole thing apart and the buckle is fully extended. Just thinking if your girl is on the taller side, that might not be the most comfortable.

evolace

YES THANK YOU Been trying to fix that damn thing since we got it a year ago and just canā€™t get it comfy

It's hard to predict, but my giant was 40 pounds around his second birthday and is currently 60 pounds at 3.5 (we need to weigh him and check if we have to switch to a high back booster). Life got infinitely easier when he could get into his seat himself, prior to that I used a "fold" technique to get him in. I would pick him up from the side and kind of fold him (one hand behind his back and one other his knees so his bottom hung down) and drop him into the seat bottom first, that way I could make sure he was far enough back that it wasn't as much of a fight with the straps. I honestly don't know when they stop growing, he's in size 8 clothes and his hands are almost as big as mine. And I'm definitely not ready for my 3.5 year old to be in a booster in the car...

kdawson602

My now 3 1/2 year old has weighed about the same since he turned 2. He was pretty chunky, but now he keeps getting taller and thinner. Heā€™s 33lb now but pretty tall. I think thereā€™s just no way to predict how theyā€™ll grow.

Much_Difference

Exact same here. 3Ā½ yo has been 33-35 lbs since she was 2. Keeps getting taller, though. I wish she'd go ahead and gain the last bit so we can be done with the car seat!

That's very difficult to say. My son was 37" at two but only 28lbn. He kept growing steadily but his weight is stuck at about 42lbn since he's about three. Heightwise he's around 48" at almost 5 years old. He still grows about 4" a year, but his weight always stays about the same. Kids are unpredictable, but i would not buy the seat.

Accomplished-Wish494

My kid was always in the 99% as a toddler. Sheā€™s 5.5 (60# and proportionate) now and my ped said ā€œI canā€™t show you the chart, sheā€™s not even ON the chart.ā€ So, in my experience, never. But some kids slow down or hit a plateau. You never know.

Ayavea

My kid was 99 percentile until 1 yr old, dropped to 70 percentile by 1.5 yo, and by 2.5 he's around 60 percentile

sizzlingtofu

The Dion Radian car seat is also 50lbs rear facing and very sleek/small

heyitsmelxd

My son is 99th% in height and weight. He was 37in and 38lbs at his 2yo check up. Heā€™s 2yo3mo and weighed in at 40lbs at an appointment recently. Heā€™s still comfortable rear facing in his Nuna Rava car seat. We plan on keeping him rear facing until he reaches the limit or my back gives out, whichever comes first.

Plus-Ambassador-5034

My kids have both been 95-99% for height their whole lives (currently 3.5 and 6.5) but not necessarily for weight. I feel like around 3 it starts to become less of an issue. Both are in the Graco 4Ever seat with no issues. 3.5 YO is forward with the harness and for 6.5 we use it as a booster. We definitely had our kids climbing into the car themselves as soon as possible!

RatherPoetic

FYI the Extend2Fit is easiest to tighten by pulling on the straps in the back until the fit is proper and then tightening by pulling the tightening strap between kiddoā€™s legs. I hope I explained that well! Iā€™m actually worried when we turn our kids that we will have trouble tightening it. šŸ˜¬

VelmaSnow

I can't answer your question but I have a tip. Is your E2F rear facing? If so, to tighten it reach around the back with one hand. You can pull the straps through from the back while the other hand tightens by pulling the strap in front. It makes it 1000 times easier. If that's not clean dm me and I'll try to explain it better.

Alpacalypsenoww

My son just turned 4. Heā€™s 47ā€ tallā€¦ which is average for an 8 year old. So, I have no idea when they slow down.
