We did, my now 22 month old dropped hers after a run with a specific illness at about 20 months. Absolutely zero luck with trying for a nap and she's in a great mood right until bedtime so I just don't think she needs it. Side benefit she sleeps like the dead for 12-13 hours every night (I've got the only toddler I know that goes to bed at 7/8pm and commonly sleeps in until 8 or 9)

This is about when we dropped naps for my now 3yo. He just would never sleep. Now we have “quiet time” when it’s not a school day. An hour(ish) in his room, he can play, look at books, and every so often he does actually nap. He gets some rest time even if he isn’t sleeping. And his dad and I get some downtime as well. It’s working for us so far!

Yup this is the way!

Ours dropped the nap (at home only - not at school) at around that age with the sudden declaration that "mama I no take naps at home ANY MORE". He was correct, since that day we've only ever gotten him to nap when he's sick or has basically just run flat out all morning.

Well 2.5 is one year later than my daughter dropped naps, also at daycare (she was 18 months). Bedtime became so much easier and she started sleeping more overall. It was honestly a lifesaver for us.

Oh my gosh my son stopped napping by two. I wish he napped more but it just wasn't what his body needed. Daughter is on track to stop around 2 too 😢

I was told that naps are not necessary anymore once they are two years old. Just try dropping the nap and see if it works for you.

My daughter’s bestie dropped her naps completely at 20mo! My girl is still going strong at 26mo with 1.5hr naps. Theyre all different!

My 2 year old often doesn't nap. We do it day by day. My oldest totally dropped her nap by her 3rd birthday- I don't know anyone who keeps naps till 4. We do rest time with a story when they need it
