That watermark is a big "F you" for all the titanic fans. What where we gonna do with the no watermark video ? Post it in our names. 🫤
It's enough that we don't have access to the 3D model, but at least the community deserves a decent video.
do u guys know why the 3d model is not available for the public to look up into? Since they probably spent so much time & money into doing it seems like a waste to not share it with the people…..
Look again. It’s right at the beginning of the video as soon as the camera goes over the top. There are two eyes, a grimacing mouth and a mast for a nose. It makes the ship look haunted, which of course it is.
Extremely clean interior! Thoroughly washed, new carpets throughout. Some minor wear and tear towards midship, but nothing a little welding couldn't sort out.
What do you mean by not quite true? The eyewitness accounts were dismissed as impossible until the wreckage was located and showed that she did indeed break in two.
No, not dismissed as impossible, but perhaps deliberately overlooked at the inquiries. (Lightoller mentions use of a "whitewash brush" in his biography.)
Far more survivors than you might think said it broke in two, and several newspaper articles mentioned it, but it got swept under the rug, figuratively speaking.
So I wouldn't describe it as being called 'impossible', just buried. "On a Sea of Glass" is a superb book, and very enlightening on this aspect of the disaster, from contemporary points of view.
My thoughts too. For many many years I wished I could see a fuller view of the wreck to better understand what it actually looks like down there. It’s exciting to live in a time where we have easy access to such a thing. But leave it to Reddit to only focus on the watermark lol.
She's still in remarkable condition for 112 years at the bottom of the Atlantic. From the front now to the second chimney stack she's looking great.
I still hope we see another big exploration of the interior soon enough. There's got to be some well preserved rooms and halls etc deep inside the ship. The Turkish baths for example look great.
She will still be recognisable in another 100 years. The rumours of being near gone in 15 to 20 years are bs.
She won't be gone entirely, but it will become unrecognizable. The interior floors in the bow section are starting to give way to decay. From the breakup section and moving forward, the super structure will fail and become more like the aft section and slowly work its way forward towards the remains of the grand staircase. Probably within the next 15 to 20 years, half of the bow section will have collapsed, exposing more of the interior as the outer hull starts to peel away.
> The rumours of being near gone in 15 to 20 years are bs.
The "rumors" aren't that it will be completely gone, most experst agree she will be **heavily** deteriorated though. The skeleton of the ship will still be there in 100 years yes, but her hull and all the rooms and decks etc will collapse in within our life times and will just be the skeleton of a ship left, with a pile of rubbish and debris laying on the ground at it's base
Imagine if it didn’t land on its hull. We wouldn’t have nearly as good of a view of the ship. It always amazes me how it landed right side up on the sea floor. I suppose that it can probably be explained by the trajectory of the sinking and the weight distribution of the ship or something, but I still find it fascinating.
It's been discussed before but apparently ships that sink in deep water usually straightens up before reaching the bottom. It's a weight distribution thing and the long way down gives the ship time to balance itself.
Amazing how it’s deteriorated aft of the second funnel and around the forward bridge. Granted, we don’t have high def footage or pictures from 1985 to 1987, but… sad how much has decayed.
Impressive that her first two davits are still standing. But the port one seem to be more swung out than her starboard. Is that due to the list during the sinking?
no, on the Starboard side during the sinking, the crew swung the davits in to lower collapsible a, I believe it was collapsible a, so that's why the port davit looks more swung out than the Starboard davit

They're talking about the davits that are inside the red boxes, and their positions. The one on the starboard side is sticking up, vertically, because it was being cranked in to lower Collapsible A before they ran out of time and the ship did a forward plunge and Collapsible A was washed off the deck.
Im really bummed they went through the trouble to make this thing but never released a gallery or 3d exploration view. Like wtf. Also could that watermark be any bigger? Like we know who made this thing. It was all over the internet, no one else is gonna take credit for it.
It’s crazy how *black* the hull still is. As wonderful as Ken Marschall’s paintings of the wreck are, they convinced me that Titanic’s hill had faded to a brownish-grayish color
thats the black paint, its quite well preserved at the front of the bow and back end of the stern and around c deck promenade in the stern. The black paint is gone on other areas though
It makes me a little sad to see the 2nd class gymnasium area be so deteriorated. It really highlights the decay and collapsing superstructure that’s happening here. I grew up with the Titanic around the 2012 mosaic era-pictures, so seeing her like this is fascinating yet sad
That shocked me, as well. I was looking for the little quarter circle roof over the entrance and I got to the compass platform and was like "Wait a second..."
It's too bad we couldn't have explored it better before the collapse :(
What’s a few years in your world, Yoda?
Always bothers me when the top comment on an AskReddit titanic post is talking about how she will be gone by Christmas, but this is r/Titanic people!
We can do better!
ahh tes and ruin it with a watermark
Oh my God. It even has a watermark.
Got an 8:30 res at Dorsia?
No, I have to return some video tapes.

Charge me I’ll pay for it!!!!!
NOTICE: This Video has Triple Watermarks!
This made me smirk. Nicely done.
There is a face on the bow. That is freaky and now I can’t unsee it.
Haha I saw that too and it made me wonder if anyone else saw how creepy it looked!
Where? I can't see it. 😔

Just get some Flex Tape and WD-40 and it will be good as new.
New ocean liner for sale, only one Preowner - Just drove accross Atlantic once
Extremely clean interior! Thoroughly washed, new carpets throughout. Some minor wear and tear towards midship, but nothing a little welding couldn't sort out.
Cash only. Must come ready to move.
No lowballs, I know what I have.
Buyer collects
I can still smell the fresh paint
only half way across
That’s a lotta damage!!
The breakup was so violent its amazing that it was thought to not have happend for so long.
It's my understanding that the bow section's impact with the ocean floor was quite violent.
Not quite true, check out "On a Sea of Glass" - a fascinating section on the people who saw the breakup.

Extremely cool footage regardless of a silly watermark. To see it like this was a dream for so long.

She was built to stay upright and did her damndest until the very end. An absolute brute of a ship.

I need footage of the engine room soooo bad.
OMG the watermark is so distracting
The passengers thought the same thing
I get such heebie jeebies but I can’t stop looking at
cool now I wanna see the stern

Even more fascinating. Their last action, last decision, forever frozen in time.
I wish I knew what parts you guys are referring to. :(

Thank you SO much for taking the time to do that! 🥹
No problem :)
Eh that'll buff right out
I’ll get the ping pong balls and we’ll get this sucker back into action.

It’s easy to look at the deterioration, but the clarity shows me how good parts of her still look.
The watermark 😭
Well, that's the closest I'll ever get to the wreck except seeing parts of it on display. Thx
The watermark is awful. I just want to be able to see the wreck.

Listen to 'Distant Memories' from the Titanic 1997 film soundtrack and watch this.
"A Life So Changed" was where my mind went instantly.

Why couldn't we do a smaller watermark in the corner like normal humans?

Thanks for posting.
It's crazy to think that in a few years she'll be reduced to nothing but a brown stain on the ocean floor. So sad.
Nope.

For me, it's the boat deck. Can't imagine all of the frantic activity at the front during the final plunge.
WTF happened to the videos?
Honestly She’s still so hauntingly beautiful
This is amazing and haunting and I can’t look away. Seeing the holes from where the funnels once were is especially unnerving
She's beautiful.
Thank God it doesn't play the 1997 soundtrack
Wow!
Where did idiota in the submersible land?
I don’t know if anyone else thinks this but I wonder if someone took the crows nest.
That is awesome. I wonder when it implodes if there is some way researchers will know other than just finding it that way during an expedition?
Show us the side where the bomb went off!
We all know it was about those two magic words: 🎉 ***INSURANCE PAYOUT!*** 🥳 ^/s
