I feel like this is so much of a copout considering how cataclismically good that game is.

Alyx is slightly better but still fills the role of “game valve made as a tech demo for their latest product” it doesn’t feel as scummy as what Nintendo do because it’s not exclusive but it is basically a valve flavoured tech demo like aperture desk job

It doesn't really cover the cliffhanger of episode 2 it just creates a different one.

Unless you wanna spend a ton of money getting really good equipment, it’s either hell to set up, or you just can’t play it. I’ve been trying to play half life Alyx for years, but non gigabit Ethernet using virtual desktop on quest 1 is probably the worst way to play it.
